well first i want to say that i understand why all of u are reacting as u are, i would too upon reading this article. second, the article is incorrect, the father of the three children is robert hagan, the youngest child being the daughter of tawnya burrows. her and robert have been together for years, tawnya raised his other two daughters……key word, daughters! there is no boy. the newspaper was incorrect..
Tawyna burrows is my cousin, her and her mother and sister have been in court all month to keep robert hagan away from the kids (he is violent w them, he gave tawnya’s daughter a black eye, and there were other occasions that have been witnessed as well)
and here is something for you all to ponder…in the house there are four little girls, they were ALWAYS together, four peas in a pod…the point is this, how come the daughter that brought robert’s abuse to light and this family to court, was not sexually abused if tawnya is so malicous that she would do this to the other three one of which is her own blood?

Damn. I hate domestics. I would HATE to think he would stoop that low – to coach these children to lie about all this – just to stop her from taking them from him. But – if he is as abusive as you say – anything is possible. If this is made up – he is even SICKER than he accused her of being!

Zb – you took the words right out of my mouth! I was about to comment to mrss that I guess I must be a sicko because my husband and I watch porn from time to time. It’s some extra fun in the bedroom sometimes. And (gasp) we even look at porn online sometimes! Would I/we fuck a kid or do anything to a child? Hell NO! Why? Because we’re just not wired that way; we’re not sick. If you’re sick, you’re sick. Period. Porn doesn’t all the sudden make you a pedo.

I’m Tawnya’s aunt, and I’m not by any means coddling her because she’s family…nor am I throwing her to the wolves. I’m sayin’ the 9 y/o has been left out of the equation for a reason…a good reason. I’ve stated those reasons on the bradenton herald, if you’re interested.
I’d like to say to you…stop for a moment, and think about this: IF Tawnya is innocent of this crime, someone had to tell those children what to say, show them what to draw, and tell them how it sounded. The only one who would have access to these children, to prime them for their “recollection”, is their father. He’s the one who would have told them to talk, in such depth, about the shower…about Tawnya forcing her 2 y/o, and so on. Do ya think he’s suitable company for a child…ANY child? Do you think he’s safe for his own children to be around, 24/7?

Oh yeah…one more thing: The reporter stated that he got his info from “authoritie’s”. My definition of “authoritie’s”, is police detective/investigator.
The paper stated that the 8 y/o was a male. Wouldn’t ya think, in the course of the investigation, the “authoritie’s” would repeat the gender of the 8 y/o…thereby giving the girls a chance to correct him/her/them? Were the “authoritie’s” blind enough to mistake the 8 y/o’s gender? I don’t see how that could be, seeing as they both had long flowing hair (sometimes gathered in a ponytail), the last time I saw them in pictures. They are thin in stature. Their features are well defined. There’s NO WAY to mistake their gender.
Even if the father wasn’t present during the interview, I’m thinkin’ he had to sign some sort of paper before the media could release it…to be certain there were no inaccurate statements, or whatever. If that is the way things are done, I’m thinkin’ the father didn’t read the transcript, to make sure there was nothing there that would compromise his daughters. Did he allow the mistaken gender to stand as it was written, intentionally? What would that have accomplished, other than to make the whole sorted story “nastier”, and even more incriminating to the average unsuspecting reader?

I agree with Zibarro and NoWhining — it’s ridiculous to say that porn makes people into sickos. It just defies logic. Personally, I don’t buy into either religious right OR feminist arguments against pornography. You’ll never convince me that, say, Jenna Jameson is being exploited. She seems pretty damn empowered if you ask me. That’s not to say some women aren’t exploited in porn, but the existence of porn itself is not to blame.
That said, I don’t really get into porn myself, but only because it just doesn’t really do anything for me. I always end up distracted by the terrible music and horrible “acting,” and above all the embarrasing earnestness of it all. Hubby is all for it, I suppose because men are more visual. Honestly, seeing a close-up of a dick doesn’t do it for me. I think the hottest sex scenes are to be found in non-porn films, though they may not show as much, they tend to be far more erotic IMO.
Am I somehow more moral because porn isn’t my bag? I don’t think so. Fixating on porn is hardly going to get to the bottom of what drives pedophilia and what can be done about it.

U ppl can come on here and try to justify your families sick actions all u want and blame it on the father. If thats what makes you feel good thats fine, but as for me, Robert Hagan, I am the father of three of the children, as for the other father……I don’t wish to comment other than the fact that he is living with the people until he goes back to Pennsylvania. I am and I do intend on doing everything I can to protect my children. Of all these are issues that came out of counseling through M.C.S. and I strongly disbelieve they would educate my children. Lets look at YOU who are speaking………….drug addicts,drunks,your familiy has been arrested and done time for sexual assaults therefore I can see why you don’t see any wrong on Tawnyas end. Truth be told, the Manatee Sheriff’s are not gonna go around wasting time on false accussations, investigations are thoroughly investigated not just slapped together. Okay first and foremost, the kids involved are who i, as well as everyone else, is concerned with. Current events aside, you made your children a part of this family years ago. When you made the choice to include yourself and your children as a part of this family, were you saying these things you now say about us?
Secondly, I am a paralegal, notary and student currently enrolled as a third year student in Penn State with a VERY clean record. With that said, bob people that live in glass homes should not throw stones!
I am curious to know whom in this family has been arrested and/or served ANY time in jail for ANY sexual assault? I know of none. This would be news to me.
That is all I have to say, again the kids are my concern, as I previously stated, the truth, whatever it may be, ALWAYS has a way of coming out and I am sure this will be no exception.

Bob, I have no need to mislead anyone, or outright lie to them. There’s some alcoholism in my family, yeah…but drug addicts or sex offenders…nary a one exists. BTW, the name should read “paternal aunt”, however, I was extremely weary the night I registered here. I didn’t feel the mistake was important enough to go back ‘n attempt to correct.
The authoritie’s should have asked you to “once over” the testimony given by the girls when they were interviewed. It’s not the parents priviledge, it’s the parents RESPONSIBILITY to do so, in order to protect their child(ren) from confusion which would no doubt arise, later. IF you had chosen to, you would have seen/read/heard some of the confused info I’m referring to….such as the gender of all three children involved, being female. I find it SO DIFFICULT to believe, IF the girls were telling THEIR OWN TRUTH, they would factor in a male child…or that you wouldn’t correct it. I think I would question the professional abilitie’s of a person(s) who would confuse either of your daughters, as being male. Why do you think intelligent 7 ‘n 8 y/o children would make such an error, Bob, if they were telling things as they remembered them to be?
Then there’s the 2 y/o…Tawnya’s (and your), bio daughter. You missed that “typo” (YOUR 3 daughters, w/o mention of Tawnya being the 2 y/o’s mother) too, huh? Tawnya acted as a mother to your 7 ‘n 8 y/o daughters, and you encouraged it. Yet you let the term “babysitter”, stand. The article stated Tawnya was with the kids when you were away. Away where, Bob? In all the hubbub, I guess the fact that you NEVER left Bradenton for ANY length of time, unless the girls were with you, just totally slipped your mind, huh?.
