Just Hurry Up And Die!

Akron, OH – Most of us here have a soft spot in our heart for our critters – some of us treat them like family. Whether it be cats or dogs, rats or rabbits, hamsters or fish – we love them and they love us back. And, most of them do so unconditionally. We all have our favorite type of critter, one that meshes with our personality and our lifestyle. Regardless of which type of critter you prefer, they are all living creatures. They feel love, they feel fear, they feel pain. They don’t deserve to be abused, neglected, or maimed any more than most of the human population. To abuse another living creature for shits and giggles and turn around and brag about it is not only heinous, it’s fucking retarded. Take Elizabeth Carlisle for example. Elizabeth used to work at a Petland pet store. Thanks to her cruel antics, she is now unemployed and the store has been permanently closed. The little bitch drowned a couple of injured rabbits she was being paid to care for. If that shit wasn’t bad enough, the bitch posed for the camera, a dead rabbit in each hand, and posted the pic on her Facebook. *Warning: The picture that follows the jump might be disturbing to some. It sure as hell ruined my day.

The deliberate drowning occurred on July 28 in the back room of an Akron Petland store. The rabbits had already sustained numerous injuries after they had been allowed to attack each other in the same pen. The injuries included deep wounds to their bodies, a broken jaw, a missing eye, and one was paralyzed from the waist down. Had these rabbits been provided with the proper care and supervision, it is highly likely that neither would have sustained any injuries, period. Elizabeth took it upon herself to end their misery. I don’t know if many of you are familiar with rabbits, but I gotta tell ya, when they are scared or in pain, they scream. Like a baby in pain. It is a chilling and heart-wrenching sound. I can only hope, if they had the chance to scream before being submerged, that bitch hears the echoes for years.

From Petland’s statement to the press:

Petland policy demands that medical treatment and protocol is to be provided and determined by the store’s consulting veterinarian and not be undertaken by an employee. Petland policy also dictates that no animal be euthanized in ANY manner by any staff member.

Back to the picture she is so fucking proud of. When one of her Facebook friends inquired as to whether or not Elizabeth drowned the rabbits she was holding in her hands, she wrote, “[T]he manager took the pic for me. [S]he reminded me that there were people outside as [I] was swearing at them to just hurry up and die but then she was so kind as to take this picture.” Based on the ‘hurry up and die’ remark, I’m thinking those rabbits might have put up a bit of a fight. Her dad, Joe Carlisle, had this to say: “She is a good, good person who is innocent totally as a human being of any and all wrongdoing,” he said. “She is being unfairly maligned.” Joe, your kid is an idiot. It doesn’t take more than a couple of brain cells to figure out that if you post a pic like that, you’re gonna have to deal with the bullshit that follows.

Elizabeth Carlisle, 20, has now been charged with two counts of animal cruelty and is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 17.
