Mommy Does This When She Gets Angry

Lowell, Massachusetts- Acting on a tip, police paid a visit to the apartment of 27 year old Kirsten Paquette and discovered her 3 year old son had been locked in a sweltering and filthy attic. The boy was completely nude, covered in his own urine, feces, and vomit with his forehead dappled with several small bumps. The attic, which officers estimated it’s temperature to be over 100 degrees, had only one window which was nailed shut and the door to the room was locked. The walls were finger-painted with feces and outside the attic was a nasty mattress covered with hundreds of flies. Police said the stench of the place was overwhelming and the boy kept repeating the word “downstairs”.

Paquette, who lived in the four-unit apartment building for several years, has three other children, a boy and a girl ages 6 and 9, and another child who was not home at the time. The 6- and 9-year olds told the officers that the 3-year old was bad so their mother dragged him up to the attic and changed the door handle. They said that it happened a lot and “Mommy does this when she gets angry.” The boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment and police helped Paquette try on a shiny new set silver bracelets. When asked how long the boy had been in the attic, Paquette responded non-chalantly, “About an hour.” She told investigators that she had punished the child because he had interrupted cleaning. Paquette was charged with reckless endangerment to a child and assault and battery on a child. Her bail was set at $10,000 and all of her children were placed in state custody. In 2004, Paquette was arrested after a fight with a man and charged with assault and battery with a knife. The case was continued without a finding and Paquette was placed on probation.
The apartment was condemned by health officials after finding the living conditions were appalling and hazardous, but Paquette’s father is defending her and said he was in the apartment prior to her arrest and did not smell anything. “My daughter isn’t some evil monster that she’s being portrayed to be,” said her father, Alfred Paquette. “She’sShe reviews
just a regular mom, and she has a child that needs special services. She’s been trying to get him help and nobody’s helping her.” He said the 3-year old was born three months premature, has chronic lung problems and exhibited behavioral problems despite reassurances from doctors who have examined him. “He’s like a child with ADHD on steroids. He’s very hyperactive,” her father said. He said his daughter is unemployed with no help from the fathers of the boys and she was overwhelmed with dealing with the unruly child. Seriously? This woman needs to be kept in the conditions she left her child in and left without remorse or pity after all she felt none for the child.

That poor kid. Sounds like life handed him more than enough to deal with without this disgusting treatment. Sounds like ‘grandpa’ knew she was in over her head and didn’t care until after the fact; if he doesn’t want the world to think she’s a monster, maybe he should have spent some of his energy helping her before the fact.

Me too SJ – the repeating “downstairs” is what got me. My little doobe-doo (21 months old) repeats words if it’s something he wants – “outside,” “cookie,” “read me” etc. The thought of this poor little guy terrified, filthy and scared and still wanting to go downstairs to be with the only vile cunt of a mother he has ever known just about cracks my heart in two.
Lowell is less than 2 hours away from me. If I’d read this a decade ago I’d probably be on a road-trip right about now.

My grandson is 3. I tried to imagine what I’d feel if I found out my daughter did this to him. Oddly, jumping to her defense like this cunt’s father did never even entered my mind. Dragging her by that red mop up and down those attic stairs? Yes. Smearing her with her own feces, vomit and urine? Sure, why not. Beating the life right out of her? Fukin’ A!

I am so glad to have moved out of Lowell, but that is a whole other thing
What a scumbag douche, I was so appauled when I saw this on the news
