Tommie Lee Johnson Jr. Took Out The Trash

DAYTON, Ohio - You know the old saying of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”? Well that age-old adage couldn’t be any more true when speaking about Tommie Lee Johnson Jr., 39,  and what he did the other day after an argument with the mother of his child on SundaySunday reviewsSunday reviews. After the altercation, Johnson left the home with 2-year-old Ashonti and her 8-month-old brother, Tommie Johnson, III. The mother called police. Police found Johnson a few hours later, but he did not have the children with him nor was he telling police where they were. On Monday morning, an employee of Felty Electric heard some crying outside their business and went to investigate. To his surprise, he found Ashonti and Tommie in their trash can covered in filth where they had been for almost 13 hours.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicThe two kids are in the custody of Children’s Services and Johnson is cooling his heels in jail – charged with four counts of kidnapping, three counts of domestic violence, two counts of endangering children, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of inducing panic. In other words, he’s in a bit of trouble. When asked why he did what he did, Johnson stated that he planned on going back to get them and that what he did was a result of poor judgment. Johnson has a history of domestic violence and drug related issues.

Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. said, “The behavior of this defendant is simply despicable. He tossed these children into a trash can and abandoned them. Thankfully, the alert actions of a citizen saved these children, preventing a certain tragedy.”

But the story doesn’t end there. On Tuesday, Children’s Services met with the children’s mother, Alicia Whitehead, 27. Ann Stevens, spokesperson for Children’s Services said, “We cut the meeting short because she was a little agitated, upset of course, because her children are not with her.” Whitehead was denied custody of the children because of Children’s Services concerns over Whitehead’s ability to protect her children as well as them having “major concerns about the children’s exposure to drug and alcohol abuse” in the home. Alisha Whitehead admitted that her family has issues with drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence. She even has an arrest last year for solicitation.

Now the father of one of Alicia’s other children is speaking out and claiming this isn’t the first time that Alicia has had dealings with Children Services. He states that his daughter and a half-sister where taken from Whitehead by Chidren’s Services back in 2005. And even with all this, she will be allowed to continue breeding more of society’s future inmates while elsewhere, a well-to-do couple wrangles through the hoops and hurdles of an adoption process only to get denied because they like sucking each other’s dick.

    Bad judgment you say! The judge was right when he said “The behavior of this defendant is simply despicable. He tossed these children into a trash can and abandoned them. Thankfully, the alert actions of a citizen saved these children, preventing a certain tragedy.” This could have really been bad. These kids were very lucky.

    I once had an asshole x who put my beloved cat in a dumpster when I went to work after an argument & when I found him the next day I was so furious .I ended up in jail for assault & he in the hospital but had it of been a child I would’ve been in prison & he a grave.
    They need to keep these children from the parents who will do less to protect them than most of us would our pets !

    Its a great thing jimmy the firebug was not on a dumpster lighting spree that night.
    It would have been murder. I don’t get why it isn’t attempted though. the odds on the garbage truck coming by was good.

    Those children are very lucky. They could of died from the fall from the dumpster to the garbage truck and if that didn’t kill them, they could of died from the compaction. Good ear on that employee, he saved their lives!!!!!

    There is NOT a big enough trash bin big enough for this fucker. Oh, I was going to go back and get them. Yeah, after they were dumped and tossed in the landfill? These children are so lucky, very fortunate they did not die a gruesome death. Had this person not heard the babies crying, oh, fuck, I’d have a bounty on this bastards head.

    I hope these children are not returned. The mother speaks of drugs, alcohol and domestic abuse like, yeah, so we got some problems…no biggie.
