Michael Barnes Burned The Boy

Chicago, IL- Considering the criminal record of RSO Michael Barnes, 49, I do not understand why any woman in her right mind would want to have this man in their life, let alone, leave their child in his care. In 1980, Barnes was convicted of molesting and murdering a 13-year old child. That year, he was sentenced to 4 years for indecent liberties with a child and 28 years for first-degree murder. Then in 1995, Barnes was once again sentenced to 10 years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Sounds like the only thing this guy is good at is costing tax payers money while he continues to prove he’s not worth a damn dime of it. Somehow, this career criminal was released on parole in May 2004 for God knows what, overcrowding in the prison, good behavior, ignorance on the parole board, and once again he is facing more prison time for severely burning a 2-year old child.

Around 8:30 a.m. on July 20, Barnes’ girlfriend came home to find her 2-year old son, Khanerion Toney, screaming in pain. The child’s mother realized her son had been severely burned from the waist down and she took him to the hospital. There, she told authorities that Barnes had said the boy had soiled himself and he had given the child a bath. Barnes said at first he did not notice any burns after he bathed the child, but later on admitted that the child did struggle during the bath due to the water being scalding hot and the Assistant State’s Attorney says Barnes did it because he was angry over the boy soiling his pants. Little Khanerion had second- and third-degree burns on his shoulder, entire back, buttocks, genital area and both legs. Khanerion is in the pediatric intensive care unit of the hospital and doctors are still trying to determine if he will need skin grafts.
Detectives went to the home and arrested Michael Barnes. He was charged with aggravated battery of a child and he is being held without bond. During the hearing, Barnes continued to interrupt the judge despite his attorney’s advice and said of the boy and his mother, “That is my woman. That is my stepchild.” Okay…WTF ever, dude. I have a feeling some very similar statements will be made in reference to you when your child-murdering-burning-ass makes it way back to the gray-bar motel where there’s plenty of slippery soap, but never enough rope. Sheriff’s deputies had to push his defiant ass back to a lockup and he is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing today.

My question for sure would and only be:
WHY THE FUCK DID THIS PIECE OF SHIT GET OUT OF PRISON IN THE FIRST PLACE EVER? I would love for society to shake the hands of the MONSTER that allowed him out of prison, GREAT JOB???Enough is enough, I really hope that what should happen is who or whomever let him get released they get charged for what happened as well,then maybe the parole board, i believe that is who lets these fuckers out, will think twice, damn look at his past history he should never ever walk our streets…. KILL HIM is what I would have done after the first killing he did fuck that fuck him. Sorry I just get so pissed when these things happen, and bullshit with making room in prison, then start executing these killers once and for all and then we have open room for the next scum sucking piece of trash. My prayers are for the little one only…..I hope you heal and get better, god bless you Khanerion.

Yes here we go again, repeat offenders. I ask why was he out of jail after murdering a 13 yr old myself. How many chances do we need to give these a-holes? His neck would look good on the chopping block!

Where is the “Social Justice” when baby killers, child molesters and general scumbag rejects in our country get booted out of prison instead of being executed for their heinous crimes? Justice is the “eye for an eye”; when someone destroys the life and well-being of another human being, be it rape, murder or handicapped, they must be punished just as harsh… the Death Penalty is appropriate for crimes that literally destroy another life in one way or another… KILL THEM!!

Sad thing about this (other than the heinous burns suffered by this poor child) is that, because he DIDN’T kill the baby – he will likely NOT receive a long enough sentence (25 to life, life or death) which, in my opinion are the only way to FIX this kind of criminal.
How does a grown ass man KILL a 13 year old child and WALK THE FUCK OUT OF PRISON – EVER?? Where does someone see 28 + 4 years for molesting and murdering a child as ENOUGH??
When is someone in POWER going to finally STAND UP FOR OUR CHILDREN AND SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH???
I hope and pray that baby can heal fast and fully with NO memory of this scumbag or what was done to him.

The suffering this poor child will have to endure to heal is beyond words….I only hope that the doctors can help him quickly and with skill and that he is young enough that he will not remember any of it……

Sentencing wasn’t as strict as it is now back in 1980. Of course, it’s hard to understand how people like this were EVER sentenced to less than life in prison.

Somehow the stories that involve punishment over having a potty accident break my heart the worst. My son is 2 1/2 and isn’t potty trained. He’s still in diapers full time because he doesn’t want to wear training pants yet. I don’t get upset with him. I just try again periodically. He won’t go to kindergarten in diapers. I don’t get how these monsters can get that upset over a young child wetting their pants. I don’t know what kind of worthless excuse for a mom would leave her kid with this guy either.

What was this woman thinking? Oh she wasn’t because she has to be hooked on something awefully strong to be with a man like this. Wow she actually left the child alone with him. My guess would be she was either working the streets or out on a drug run. These people have no common sence.
