MARIETTA, GA - We’ve been tough on pretty white girls this week, and I almost passed up this story when I first heard about it. Then I saw her name, and more details of what she did – being easily amused, I decided to go ahead and throw her on the FP. Chelsea Steele is a 17-year-old cheerleader at Sprayberry High School. Last Friday, she and three friends stole $147 from some kids, one of them was in a wheelchair, who were selling T-shirts and hats at a neighborhood pool. After feigning interest in the items and making small talk, Chelsea snagged the money, hopped in a car and sped off.
Joe Green’s two daughters, aged 9 and 11, are the ones that were running the fundraiser. They were selling the items for extra summer funds and to help out his company, JAG Designs, which has experienced recent financial problems. It is alleged that Chelsea walked up to the table where the merchandise was being sold and even commented that what the kids were doing was “sweet” when told why they were there. Once Joe turned away, Chelsea snagged the box containing the $147 and jumped into a car containing three other girls and sped off.
Chelsea was identified by the kids, and arrested on SaturdaySaturday reviews
. The police have also identified – as well as interviewed – the other three girls that where with her, although no charges have been filed against them. Joe feels all of the girls involved should be charged. “All four should be responsible for this. They fled the scene and I chased them on foot. They need to be disciplined,” he said.
Chelsea was placed in Cobb County jail on Saturday on a $5,000 bond. She was there up until today when she finally bonded out. She is now facing charges of robbery and underage possession of alcohol. Joe Green stated that the mother of Chelsea offered to pay back the money if he did not press charges, but he never replied back stating that Chelsea’s fate hangs in the district attorney’s hands, not his.
Chelsea also issued an apology through her attorney. “She is just torn up about what happened,” Mike Moran told reporters at Channel 11, “She’d like to express to the children who were involved in this and had to experience it, as well as their parents, that she is extremely sorry for what happened and wants an opportunity down the road to say that to their faces.” But Green, who I am liking more and more, says for Chelsea to go fuck herself. Well, not in those words. Those would be mine. What Green said was, “To be honest, that does nothing for me, anybody is going to say anything to get out of jail. I want a lesson learned. Everyday I’m getting angrier about it”
High School cheerleaders are funny. I still remember them never looking my way or acknowledging me while at school. But later that night, when they would stop by old Morbid’s crib to partake in some party favors, they were always way too eager to let me balance my nuts on the bridge of their nose. Never did trust them much after that, although like Catholic girls, they would do anything. Oh, and again, what’s up with the name=crime thing? We have a HancockHancock reviews
chick simulating blowjobs on beaches and now a Steele who robs from disabled children. Jesus, had her last name been Gunn, she may have shot up the next pep rally.
Once again, I await the people who will come in posting why we are featuring this young girl and how it was just a mistake she will have to live with and yadda and yadda and yadda. I bet you wont see those people doing the same had this been a black boy who robbed them. And I don’t recall anyone jumping to the defense of those Juggalo idiots who robbed the 12-year-old boys of their candy and cell phones. But God forbid dreamindemon.com put up a cheerleader. They shit rainbows and give birth to unicorns or something.

Sorry to call you out on this…but I’m thinking you meant that Joe Green made these comments about Steele.
Yes! As a former cheerleader I can testify that this statement is true! Great write-up Morbid! LOL

Chelsea Steele sounds like a porn stars name, which is probably what her future entails anyway.
12:50 pm on July 9th, 2009
While on the surface, that looked like a mistake on my part. But see, it was actually a calculated decision to use the wrong name so that I could see who would notice. Your prize is in the mail!

Chelsea’s mother wants the charges dropped if she pays back the money??? HELL NO! What’s the little skank gonna learn by that? That mommy and daddy can buy her freedom…again and again and again. And what’s this offering an apology THRU her attorney? Can we say, COWARD?
Joe Greene is right, those girls deserve being prosecuted.
1:26 pm on July 9th, 2009
Oh, Chelsea Steele, you are such a dumbass. I love the part about how your mommy tried to bail you out by paying back the money for your drunk ass. The only thing you’re sorry about is that you got caught. Oh, and not only do you have a name for porn you have a face for one too. Blech.
1:30 pm on July 9th, 2009
restitution must be made and they all need to be charged, especially the driver
1:34 pm on July 9th, 2009
Yeah I bet she’s sorry now sorry she got caught. They probably spent the money friday night because her and the other three dimwits were just soooo sorry. If I was her mother she would be safer in jail.
1:42 pm on July 9th, 2009
She looks like Casey Anthony.
3:32 pm on July 9th, 2009
She does look like a younger version of Casey Anthony. If she were my kid, her ass would still be in jail.

i, too, am a former cheerleader….and, in my neck of the woods, we actually slept on a bed made of hello kitty shaped marshmallows and had a stable full of ponies. i was always envious of the rainbow shitting cheerleaders and, no matter how hard i begged, my mommy wouldn’t buy me a unicorn.
also, what is with the weird velcro blanket/comforter thing that some people wear in their mugshots???? what IS that? there were those two girls who were wearing those (you know, the ones who beat up or robbed the two elderly ladies??). it was hard to get past the sharpie eyebrows on those two to notice the blanket thing, but i do recall it.
girls……that velcro blanket thing would be enough for my former cheerleading ass to not want to EVER be arrested. a picture lasts forever (and, please, oh please let her come here and ask that a better photo be posted rather than her mugshot!!!).

As a high school outcast this amuses me greatly. Goddamn cheerleaders.

LMAO! I’m growing mighty fond of you.
Don’t worry – not ALL of us non-cheerleaders loathe cheerleaders.
5:07 pm on July 9th, 2009
haha, thanks! : )
and because of that, i’ll even loan you my sparkly pink gel pen, but i need it back after geometry.
5:24 pm on July 9th, 2009
She’s a cheerleader, plain and simple. Surely there’s a myspace link for her? I’m not savvy enough to know how to look those up. I’d adore seeing her sparkling clean blogs and comments so could someone hit me up with the URL?
6:12 pm on July 9th, 2009
Thanks for the offer, HappyMerry, but I’ve got a whole rainbow of glitter pens. For real. I was embarrassingly excited about it, too.
And, what are you talkin’ “geometry” for. Everyone knows cheerleaders don’t make it past algebra.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! oh, you made diet coke come out of my nose nearly.

That was too funny, I’ll have to remember that one.

I live in Marietta and have had the fortune of stay at the eloguent Cobb County Jail one time in my younger years. It is not the kinda place you want to find yourself in. It may have been the most unsanitary place I have ever been. That weird velcro blanket/comforter thing is what you have to wear when your on suicide watch. I would have paid good money to see her face when they brought Steele in and she got her first look of that hell hole.

Oh and if there are prizes can I get one for the last word of the third paragraph?

Sadly, there are only two kinds of cheerleaders. Those who are down to earth and popular because they’re friends with everyone or the snotty I’m queen of the world bitch who can get awa with anything because I’m a cheerleader. Clearly Chelsea is of the latter kind.

Hey now, I did great in geometry and now I’m an accountant! It was the spelling and grammer that I had and still have problems with! lol
10:25 am on July 10th, 2009
Okay i really hope some of you are getting the point that the writer is trying to put out…. if not re-read it and if you still don’t get it get a tac hammer out and beat your head until you think with individual cognitive thought……
I also think the mother should be ashamed to call herself a parent and i hope that this girl along with the others get the book thrown at them to the full extent of the law..

Sunscorn, welcome to the site.

Ok you wouldn’t of exactly called me a good kid and I did a lot of dumb ass things, but never anything like that, glad this guy is standing his ground and pressing charges. Dumb bitch!
12:48 pm on July 10th, 2009
Thats funny that the mom thinks she could just pay back the $147 and it would all go away. At this point it isn’t even about the money but the crime its self. And the sheer audacity of Chelsea Steele’s behavior.
Joe Green’s certainly going to come out a winner in all of this, lots of free advertising for him, you cant pay for this kind of coverage.
1:00 pm on July 10th, 2009
LoL, the kids were on NBC’s ‘Today’ show, with Joe Green, talking about the robbery. Joe mentioned that some good Samaritan heard about it, stopped by and gave them $200.

Oh, moms try to be like that. I was once hit by a couple of teens – the boyfriend was driving the girl’s car. The damage wasn’t severe and the girl was worried about her insurance, so I kindly offered to set up a reasonable payment plan with them, rather than going through her insurance. They called me a couple weeks later after multiple attempts on my part to contact them, using all sorts of obscenity and trying to say that they didn’t have to pay because they saw me switch with my passenger (which wasn’t the case). I explained to them that a goddamn alien could have stolen my car, but if they hit it and someone saw, they were liable for damages. They hung up on me and ceased contact.
So, I went to the address listed on the girl’s license. It was her mom’s house. I explained the situation to her, and she pleaded with me not to go through the insurance because her daughter had already caused too many accidents and, because the daughter was on her insurance, insurance would likely drop both of them and, besides, her daughter wasn’t even driving. By that point, I wasn’t the slightest bit sympathetic. Clearly, her mother coddling her and making constant excuses had impacted her child. I told her to take the boyfriend to court and teach her daughter some manners.

I think this story has been blown out of proportion. Why has this received so much media attention? Aren’t there stories more news worthy? It’s just because she is a cheerleader that the media is even running this story all the time.
I’m sure that Chelsea’s mother only offered the money to help make things right – not to clear her daughter’s name. I knew Chelsea’s mom several years ago and thought she was a great lady and a great mother.

Juliet,
Are you now calling the man who was already stolen from a liar, too? Poor form.
Look, when adults or near adults steal from little kids it’s going to make news – likely, national news. Despite our joking around, here, it has nothing to do with her being a cheerleader. In fact, in my area recently, three young adult males stole from a couple of 12 year olds. It also made national news and was featured on the site.
It’s one thing when people kill, molest, assault, etc. But when people steal unnecessarily from little kids, it illustrates a level of stupidity and callousness the rest of us are very interested in mocking.
Those who victimize children are THE most pathetic examples of human beings, which is why they’re treated differently than those who steal from adults or peers.

This evil being is living up to her name. What a disgrace this is to her parents, if not herself. The attorney for this half-life should be ashamed of him/herself for even trying to get the victim’s dad to “drop the charges” if she pays back the money. I’m sure they used it to buy the alcohol they got busted with. There are no words or actions to even begin the healing process for the victims, especially the trust this “cheerleader” killed. She’s 17 years old for goodness sakes!! A 10 year old knows better, so to insinuate that “the embarrassment of her actions” should be enough and charges should be dropped are so damn ridiculous. Teach this animal and her pack of hyenas a lesson.
7:46 pm on July 10th, 2009
I agree totally! She needs to pay and giving the money back doesn’t cut it! I see the future now…. “Oops! I robbed the bank at gunpoint, but here’s the money officers, now that you caught me. So, we’re “even” right? No harm done.” Reminds me of when a group of teens jumped me and stole my bike. After a month the cops couldn’t find it, but lo and behold if I didn’t run into one of the corksuckers a month later on my bike by himself (I had repainted it an original way so I knew it was mine) he sees me and tries to turn, but he was too close to pedal away. I did not start running after him or yelling, so he knew he had a stolen bike. I would have been just an average guy walking by to a normal bike rider, plus I recognized him. So he jumps off the bike and says “Hey, man, I have no problem with you” as my bike crashed into the concrete and I said, “Well, you sure as hell did when you had four other friends jumping my ass!.” Needless to say I beat his sorry punk ass and took my bike back. Yeah, he was sorry only because he didn’t think he’d run into me again. I never could go back to that neighborhood though. I wasn’t as stupid as he was.

the title was all wrong…should of been
Self-serving little twat robs kid in wheelchair…
9:54 pm on July 10th, 2009
Oh I know, Juliet. The media is so rough on the poor girl. She made a mistake. Lord knows all teens go through the robbing disabled children phase. Why when I was in High School nearly every day I would stumble out of bed, reeking of Bacardi, and looking for defenseless kids to rob. Maybe after all this, the misunderstood waif can go on to better things. Like stealing seeing eye dogs and setting up fake charities.
10:36 am on July 11th, 2009
If she’s a cheerleader…I don’t want to see what the rest of the school looks like.
12:07 pm on July 11th, 2009
oh boy, if you think she’s bad, you should of seen the ones that were at my school…she’s cute compared to that mess…

Yeah, obviously some great parenting went on there. Really taught her daughter how to be a fine, upstanding citizen.

“We’ve been tough on
prettywhite girls this week”There, now it’s right. She looks like a 12 year old in that pic.
Oh well, if you don’t want to suffer consequences then don’t do stupid shit that you know is wrong. Obviously she knew she would get in trouble because she ran away.
As for the slutty cheerleaders thing, I’ve always found it funny that they are the ones having sex with everybody, but they’re the first ones to start calling people sluts and whores.
11:26 am on July 25th, 2009
The other girls have been charges as well.
