Phoenix, AZ – Benny Peralta, 46, is a real ass. He was hired by a 56-year-old woman to assist with the care of her disabled 62-year-old husband, but, things weren’t working out and the couple was planning to rent out the guesthouse where Benny was staying. Back on June 24, when the woman informed Benny they no longer required his assistance, Benny got all violent and stabby. First, he grabbed the disabled man’s dog from his lap and threw it into the wall. He then knocked the man out of his wheelchair and began stabbing him in the neck and back with a large kitchen knife. When the man’s wife tried to intervene, she got a dose of Benny’s anger as well.

The woman tried to stop the attack on her husband, and, for her efforts, was rewarded with a few whacks upside the head with a frying pan. To add insult to injury, Benny then made off with the woman’s wallet. Damn, too bad the old guy’s lap dog wasn’t a Rottie. The husband was admitted to the hospital with numerous stab wounds, and, at the time, was listed in critical condition. The wife suffered some bruising and cuts, but was in fairly stable condition.
Benny was found passed out near a dumpster the next day. At the time of his arrest, he showed absolutely no remorse. In fact, he stated to police that he wished he had used a better knife so he could have succeeded in killing the victim. Nice…asshole. Benny Peralta was indicted yesterday on on one count of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of armed robbery.
