Canton, Ohio Police made quick work of locking up a couple of thugs who wreaked havoc on a Canton family Thursday. In a city that had a reported 9 homicides in 2008, Thursday’s incident brought 2009 statistics up to 10 homicides thus far. Fortunately for all involved, the first alleged gunman, William Ferguson (21) turned himself into police early SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews morning in Elria and the fine men/women in blue transported this ass back to Canton. Upon interviewing him, police gathered enough information to arrest Maki Ragland (20) at a relative’s home in Canton. One of the big questions is:  Why shoot grandpa in the leg and how did it end up killing a two-year-old?

Harmoney Sankey

Harmoney Sankey had just celebrated her 2nd birthday a couple of weeks ago. She lived with Danielle Sankey (mother) and her grandfather Daniel Sankey, who had been taking great delight in watching this little girl learn how to string sentences together and ride her bike. But all that changed Thurday when they were in their home, along with the mother’s boyfriend and another person. The family answered a knock at the door and two hooded gunmen entered the home shortly before 10pm and demanded money. Detectives say the two gunmen pistol-whipped Daniel and then shot him in the leg. There are two accounts of what happened next:  The first is from Daniel. He states the gunman was startled that the blow did not knock him out and he was shot in the leg. He believes his 2 year-old granddaughter was running for him when he was shot and that the bullet struck her chest or back. The second report is that the gunmen actually shot Harmoney through the back. Daniel also speculates his dog took after the two gunmen as they fled on foot and one shot its head merely grazing it.

Little Harmoney Sankey had a bullet rip through her little body. She was rushed to the local hospital but died 45 minutes later. Her grandfather was treated and released. William Ferguson and Maki Ragland are charged with complicity to aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated robbery. They’re being held at the Stark County Jail awaiting their first court appearance on Monday. I certainly hope word gets out to their cellies about how they’re suspected of shootingThe Shooting reviewsThe Shooting reviews a 2 year-old angel in the back as they were robbing the residents at gunpoint. Just maybe they’ll be given “how to’s” on tying up the bedsheets. And all that for $27 in cash.

Oh, man. That is fucking heartbreaking. Either way, it’s tragic, but damn…if she was running to help her grandpa…that is just more than I can even bear to imagine. Poor, sweet baby. I really hope those two pieces of shit pay for what they did.

It sounds like she might well have been. They clearly had something special. Grandad must be utterly destroyed by this.

This is a case where justice and punishment never intersect…and never will in this Country. Of course they should go through the judicial system and be fairly tried and defended. If found guilty and sentenced to death, that is exactly what they should get…even while the last syllable of the word “death” still echoes in the courtroom. Screw the appeals process! Shoot their asses dead and throw them in the landfill…their families can pick them up there. These people have proven they are no longer humans and should be treated accordingly. That is justice. Not eighteen years languishing in some jail cell on the taxpayer’s dime while their appeals process runs it’s course and they conveniently “find Jesus”.
