McMinnville, TNThe fire started in the kitchen in the early morning hours of May 13…it is believed that an unattended hot plate may have sparked the fire. Firefighters were informed that there were two children in the apartment, 3-year-old Kayndace and 1-year-old Akeelia Fisher. Akeelia was found in her bedroom. Kayndace was found in a hallway near the living room…she may have been trying to escape the flames and smoke. CPR didn’t help either child. Both likely died from smoke inhalation. The children’s father, Mitchell Stone, and their step-mother, RoseRose reviewsRose reviews, were unharmed. The couple told investigators that they were present in the apartment when the fire broke out, but were unable to save their children. Now, if that were the unadulterated truth, would they be gracing the front page of the Dreamin’ Demon?

Mitchell and Rose Stone

Mitchell and Rose Stone

A mere 6-weeks ago, Mitchell and his wife were granted temporary custody of Kayndace and Akeelia…now, those little girls are dead. The investigation into the fire began, and from the beginning, there were inconsistencies. First of all, at the time of the fire, neither Mitchell nor Rose was showing much, if any, emotion or remorse. That, of course, could be written off as shock. Things still weren’t adding up, though. One officer noted that on the morning of the fire, neither Mitchell nor Rose were wearing pajamas and neither smelled like smoke. It is now believed that the couple had left the children home alone that evening to attend a party. I can not imagine the fear those children went through that morning, trying to escape the heat and smoke, with daddy nowhere to be found. After a thorough investigation, authorities felt they had enough evidence to make a couple of arrests. Mitchell Stone, 28, and Rose Stone, 22, were indicted on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child neglect. Hope that was a helluva party, you beastly asshats.

What a couple of selfish, disgusting, pigs! I am so glad they were caught and didn’t get away with it.

When I see these stories I almost – ALMOST – understand why people grasp on to religion. Why were these precious babies dealt this hand? There has to be some greater reason. Right?
    No. No.

Sigh. I lost my train of thought.

I can not understand why these idiots did not get a babysitter. I just hope they get sentenced to the same fate as these toddlers had to suffer. Personally, I would like to see them chained to a building that was set on fire and actually made to suffer the same fate as the tots.

    Un-fucking-believable.

So long as people keep having the parenting instincts bred out of them, so long as these quasi-families keep getting “stuck with the brats”, we will continue to see this kind of crap.

This hogette had no maternal connection to the babies, and obviously whatever thin maternal ties she might have for her own kids was non-existent for her husband’s spawn.

There must be a way to teach these pigs (male and female) to take proper care of children, even if they feel no love or bonding.

Two selfish, ignorant and irresponsible people in charge of two helpless kids. It is heartbreaking.

So I’m wondering why was a hot plate on, especially if they went to a party the night before…..Was meth involved? Those poor girls….I hope they didn’t suffer too long.

Being that they are charged with first-degree murder, this doesn’t seem to be a simple case of neglect leading to the deaths. The cops must know something else they’re not telling right now…like maybe the hot plate was left on purposely because they were tired of having to care for the kids. Selfish, pig-like sub-human scum. UGH.

Also, Morbid, I think we have another strong contender for “Looks Most Like Jabba the Hut” in dear Rose here…

I live in Tennessee and remember seeing this on the news. At that time I made a statement of “Well they don’t seem to really care about it. How did they get out and leave the kids in? Something isn’t right with this.” Anywho I never got updated on this, but I’ll trust my gut more often. How sad for those poor little girls to have been born to parents like that.

I know these two personally, Mitchell more than his man looking wife Rose, and when I heard about this all I could think was “Is the girls mother really that stupid?” (she must be, she had a baby with Mitchell, that was her first mistake) From my understanding, the younger girl wasn’t even Mitchell’s so why were both girls at his house? Furthermore, Miss Rose apparently has like 3 or 4 kids of her own that no one even knew about until this happened. Sounds like there was something fishy going on somewhere huh? I mean I have known these two since before they got married and never not once had I heard her mention her having any children of her own. Mitchell is what my grandmother refers to as a “big duh”, I actually think he is mentally retarded, or challenged to say the least. Who in there right mind would just give their kids to someone like him, obviously the mother knew what kind of person he was, I mean she did have a kid with him right? And where is she in all of this? Haven’t heard anything from her or about her. Mitchell is so messed up in the head that he probably really and truly thought there was nothing wrong with leaving the two babies home alone, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Rose did set the fire to get rid of those babies, I mean she has not only had her husbands child there but also took on a child that didn’t even belong to her husband, and she didn’t even have her own kids. That whole family is messed up, not just Mitchell and Rose, but his brother “Brandy” (come on who names their son Brandy? and that’s actually his name I’ve seen the birth certificate)his mom and dad. They are all crazy. I saw Mitchells mom the day after everything happened and she didn’t seem the least bit fazed, and his dad thinks McMinnville owes him millions of dollars. Before its over with it wouldn’t surprise me if that family doesn’t try to make it look like it was the kids fault, they are just that much of a fucked up family. Poor babies, they never deserved this.
