Michael Carlson Has Been Busy

Tucson, Arizona – On May 31st police pulled over Michael Carlson, 53, and informed him that he was driving a stolen vehicle. Michael decided he wasn’t sticking around to find out what was gonna happen next and fled the scene. When his car broke down, Michael then exited and escaped on foot – managing to allude capture. Police then searched the vehicle that Carlson had been driving and found evidence that suggested something extremely violent had happened in that car and determined that the vehicle was in fact a rolling crime scene.

Michael Carlson had been living with Kenneth Alliman and Rebecca Lofton, a couple who let Carlson move in with them at their secluded location because he was running from Texas officials over probation violations. A couple weeks later, the couple were reported missing on June 2 after family had not heard from them in a week – 6 days before the Carlson’s traffic stop. You can see where this is headed, I am sure.

20090624095137 Michael Carlson Has Been BusyCarlson was finally captured a couple weeks later and when questioned, he admitted to murdering his roommates. Turns out that Michael had killed both his roommates while they sat in his car. He used a sawed-off shotgun to do the work. Then over the course of a few days, he began making attempts to conceal the crime. He tried cleaning his vehicle with bleach and removing some blood soaked carpet. He hid the gun in an RV on the property. But Carlson had a harder time disposing of the couple’s bodies. Over the course of a few days, Michael Carlson began burning the bodies after dousing them with accelerant, and then burying the charred pieces in the front yard fire pit.

Police did discover human remains in the front yard of the property, and are now in the process of confirming that they belong to Alliman and Lofton. The couple’s son shed a bit more light on the confessions, stating “he did do what he did, but drugs affected him. So he didn’t know what happened.” Also, to add a cherry on top, Michael Carlson also confessed to killing his own sister in 2003. Maria Thoma, 51, who was found dead in Cienega Creek. She had died of a gunshot wound.

Jesus, I don’t know where to begin! First, who lets an admitted fugitive live with them. Especially when they have a child!! I am guessing they were no saints either. Is it a stretch to suppose drug abusers?

And then the sons comment!! “…but drugs affected him. So he didn’t know what happened.” WTF? The kid is this dudes apologist? They must have been secluded – and inbred! (can you hear the Deliverence Music)

i was still struck with how he managed to run away from the cops at the traffic stop. he doesnt look particularly athletic. tho he does sort of look like a rabbit.

So, is the murdered couple’s son defending this creep?

  • Abroad

Could the couple’s son have been the reason they put Carlson up?

His statement, without seeing it in context, is easy to misinterpret. He could have just been relaying exactly what he was told. I don’t think he is excusing or defending the guy’s actions.

So I guess some people are just born to murder. He seems like one of them!

Good point. Re-reading it, it may have just been a factual statement. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I am trying to understand how one accepts a figitive in their home….I am at a lost for words. No, not really bizarre keeps popping in my head

Could it be that he is just plain evil. Like Otis O’toole or Richard Ramirez. I mean, the story realy doesn’t give a motive for him killing the couple – money, passion, conflict?? So I am left thinking that this creepy fucker killed them for shits and giggles… Yikes!

  • Kdogg

I’m guessing he told them a different version of what he was wanted for and when they found out, they tried to kick him out…. and lost.

OR maybe his parents were drug addicts too (drug addicts would let an admitted fugitive stay with them) and the kid has become so dejected in regard to his parents he either saw something like this coming or is entirely too familiar how drugs can cause people to do some stupid, evil things.

I know one of the sons he went to school with my son and worked at a store that I frequently went to. As to the statement that the son gave, I am not sure which son that would of been but I do know that the kids are devastated and I am not sure if it was taken out of context. You also have to realize they are distraught and maybe they cannot make sense of this at all. We all hope that no one like this is walking the earth. And for those of you wanting to know why they let him stay at there home. Like he was going to tell them the real story. Obviously he lied about why he was running from the police. What I have been told by the best friend of the man that was killed said everyone likes him they thought he was nice and he kept telling them he did not like the man. So you can guess all you want and ask why but it is past all of that. The only thing I know is two people are dead and they have children asking why. And the man that did this horrible crime reminds me of Charlie Manson crazy. And I hope they let him out so we the people linch him he deserves it. He has been out of prison supposedly 2 times not sure why he was let out. Texas is usually strick. And since the rumor is he murdered the first person when he was 11. So if he gets out again you can be sure he will not stop. This makes I think 10 people. If anything people should pray for the children.

One other thing is since when being different or the assumption that these people were imbred have anything to do with anything. So, Are you saying if your imbred its ok. No one deserves this. And, if you were thinking they did you are a total idiot and need your head examined. If that not what you were meany then I truley am sorry for the statement. And, if you did mean that about the people that dies for one shame on you. And, that is frightening to me that someone with the lack of a brain is a member of society and we wonder whats wrong with society it is people like you. Shame on you and beware of KARMA. Also maybe if your statement was taken out of context then the statement the son made probabley was also. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
