Douglas Shepherd Is A Terrible Nanny

Grand Isle County, VT–I can’t believe I’m even writing this story, I mean, look at that guy. Would you hire him on as a nanny? Call me sexist, call me close-minded, call me tomorrow, whatever. After looking at those moogly eyes, there is no way in hell I would allow Douglas Shepherd to care for my rabbit, let alone my children. However, he advertised his services as a nanny on eNannysource.com, and they matched him up with a family with two young boys, one of them autistic. Now what do you think he did to end up here? I’ll give you three guesses…

Last Sunday, Douglas checked himself into Fletcher Allen Health Care…he was feeling a little suicidal. He told a nurse that he wanted to kill himself because of his attraction to a kid he was watching. Douglas went on to explain that he had been a nanny for two small children in South Hero and he had done stuff with them. He stated that “he had become attracted to children and had done things with a ten year old.” The alleged abuse began in mid-April. It started off with Douglas hugging and kissing the young boy, and escalated to engaging in sex. He admitted to the abuse, telling police he first thought of the victim “like a son,” but then, “the dynamic of that changed and turned into you know, I see him as a lover.” He admitted to having images of child porn on various personal electronic devices. During an interview with police, a detective asked Douglas if he thought he should get in trouble. He answered, “Yeah of course I do. But you know what prison is like. I wouldn’t make it in prison. We all know that.” Douglas Shepherd, 23, now faces seven counts of aggravated sexual assault, nine counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, one count of use of a child in a sexual performance, one count of promoting and recording sexual conduct, and one count of possession of child pornography.

Police are concerned there may be more victims. Douglas has held similar jobs in California, Florida, and Michigan. He spent some time at summer camps for boys in Texas and New York. He had also been approved to be a substitute teacher in Grand Isle County. Anyone with information about Douglas Shepherd is asked to contact the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations at 802-527-4002. Police say Douglas has also used the alias Parker Wilder and possibly Donald Shepherd.

What a Sick Fuck, So glad the sicko turned himself in, get him the hell off our streets and away from our children. I, personally, would never hire a male nanny, nothing against men, but I would NEVER do that. Unfortunately, these families did and now they and their children have to deal with this shit!!! He can cry the blues to someone else who cares, I can only Pray prison will EAT HIM UP, save the suicide plea for someone else and one more thing, WHO CARES if he KILLS himself, Look what he did to those families and those poor children?????

FOCUS

I thought the same thing! When you are advertising that type of service you really should have all your ducks in a row. I hope this guy “doesn’t make it in prison”. Sick perv!

Obviously what he did was nasty…but it definitely IS a good thing that he turned himself in. I wonder though…they THINK he may have done it before. Maybe its just me, but I think at that point, what’s the point of holding back information?

There is no evil power that makes people do bad things. Humans are able to do bad things on their own. What we have going on however, is a very dysfunctional society, especially when it comes to sex. Time and time agin you see women picking these “bad boy” types that abuse and kill them, and men who don’t know who have the IQ of a paperclip, because it’s cool to be stupid, and no one can communicate. There’s too much porn readily available, so women have become mere sex objects to these men. So they have sex with kids, because they don’t have the personal skills of being in a relationship. It’s too much work, and not as fast as porn.

The first thing people should do is stop watching so much TV!

also how many motherfuckers hide behind a computer to lure young girls or boys to meet up with them or offer to sale something online (like what happen to the pregnant female that went to buy some clothes from a psycho and she killed her) or craiglist to sell massages or just to meet up with someone that is why I clearly stated IS ONE LUCIFER’S personal via tunnel to bring demons to your attention because predators and psycho’s know is easier to be someone else thru a computer. I hear what you saying but we are talking bout someone that is going to interact with and take care of YOUR CHILD. You should be more cautious and for background check and references not just because he had the cooler page.

This is what I do….I highlight & copy the text I want to quote. Then I click the “b-quote” button which puts “blockquote” in the box. Then I paste what I previously copied after the “blockquote” and click on the “Close Tags” button, which puts “/blockquote” after what I pasted. Then I hit enter a couple times and type my response.

That’s probably a more long and involved method than it needs to be (I’m famous for not knowing shortcuts lol), but it works for me. Don’t know about “code” but I think I read a response from Morbid in another thread that said to just ignore “code.”

Even with the most rigorous back-ground check, I still think this might have happened. I mean, with all that on his CV? I would trust him even if he does look a bit like a neanderthal.

And I too will give him props for turning himself in and for not pretending he didn’t do wrong; but I am at a loss as to what on earth he thinks should happen to him if it should not involve going to gaol?

Yeah, assuming he didn’t look exactly like that at the interview (I might deny anyone, male or female, looking like that, a job), it’d be hard to discredit that resume. I mean, how often do babysitters come with resumes like that? I know all the people who babysat me as a youth had either a recommendation from a neighbor or was a kid of one of my parents’ friends.

Several online vigilantes have been tracking Shepherd’s Internet activities since 2006. One Web site claims Shepherd used the screen name “emovocals” and is a member of several Web sites for pedophiles. The Web site also warns that Shepherd works as a nanny, advertising his services online.

Information about Shepherd is also listed on a Web site called “wikisposure.”

“The information contained within this Wiki project is made available for the purpose of informing the internet community, creating awareness for parents, and deterring individuals such as the people profiled in this Wiki,” reads the Web site’s main page.

The site lists information about Shepherd’s aliases as well as pictures of him.

Before coming here I always knew I would NEVER EVER EVER have a male for a babysitter, now Im afraid of the females too, old ones, young ones, happy ones, pretty or ugly ones, I dont want babysitter for my kids other than my own mother or grandma, glad mine are grown and I babysit my grandchildren rather than allow them to go elsewhere…

Accused child molester Donald Shepherd,24, pleaded not guilty to a 12 new counts of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography in Grande Isle court Thursday morning.

Prosecutors asked for two separate trials against Shepherd — one for the latest charges and another for the sexual assault charges filed in June — and were granted that request. The judge presiding over the case said he wants to get things moving.

A nanny charged with molesting a 10-year-old boy in Vermont last year has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

Donald Shepherd, 25, pleaded guilty in July to aggravated sexual assault, lewd and lascivious conduct and use of a child in a sexual performance as part of a plea deal.

Judge Ben Joseph said Shepherd's actions of advertising himself on the Internet as a nanny to find work with children in other states indicated premeditation.

At the sentencing hearing Monday morning, the victim's mother called Shepherd a “monster” and said he will continue to “torment” her family even though they've moved 3,000 miles away. Shepherd spoke briefly on his own behalf and said he is “horribly sorry” for how his actions have affected the victim.

Police said they suspected Shepherd had preyed on children in other states allegedly using aliases to get work but found no evidence of other victims.
