Joseph Reid Is A Bad Little Boy Scout

Hawthorne, Florida–A Boy Scout is loyal–true to his family, friends, Scout leaders, school, and nation. A Boy Scout is friendly–a friend to all, a brother to other Scouts, understanding of others, and respectful to those with ideas and customs different than his own. A Boy Scout is kind–he understands there is strength in being gentle, treats others as he wants to be treated, and does not hurt or kill harmless things without reason. Joseph Reid is a whole ‘nother kind of Boy Scout. And, because he had a hand in making a 12-year-old fellow Scout drink human piss, he will never again be allowed to call himself a Scout.

Yes, 21-year-old Scout leader Joseph Reid, and three others, have all been stripped of their Scout status because they’re assholes. Last week, at Camp Shands, Reid and three other scouts ambushed a fellow Scout. Reid approached the victim and asked him to accompany him back to his campsite. On the way, three other Scout’s jumped out, tackled the victim, and duct-taped his mouth and arms. The victim was then led off into the woods. He was told that he was going to be “taught a lesson” for making some derogatory remarks about another scout earlier in the week. The four boys gave the victim a choice, he could either get beaten up, or he could drink urine. Before the victim could answer, Reid ripped the duct tape off his mouth (ow) and poured urine down his throat. Eventually, the victim made his escape and informed other Scout leaders of the incident. When deputies arrived, they found evidence backing up the victim’s claims. Duct tape, two bottles of urine, and a Blackberry cell phone with a recording of the nasty attack. Good luck talking yourself outta this one, kiddos.

Along with Reid, three other Scouts were taken into custody and charged. 16-year-old Harrison Reid, 15-year-old Kyler Brower and 16-year-old Nicholas Larsen were also arrested. All four are looking at charges of kidnapping and aggravated child abuse. Joseph Reid is being held in the Putnam County jail. The others have been turned over to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

The victim’s mother had this to say about her son, “Mentally he’s not ok. It’s not normal to be twelve and go through that.” She also stated that the child has undergone numerous medical tests to make sure his physical health hasn’t been effected…the test results are due back next week.

      What makes people do things or think of things like this? This is gross, disgusting to its best and ALL need to go to JAIL and TEACH them a lesson that the BUBBAS in prison DO EXIST…. Let them try that on BUBBA, Big bad Bubba, see how far they get with that, PICKING on a 12 year old and three on one, no fair at all…… Tough Guy’s HUH, Wanna Be Tough Guys, you will soon soon see. and good for that… To the 12 year old boy and family STAY strong and I will pray the test results come back CLEAR and FREE of any kind of sickness or diseases

      I want to know what the kid did to warrant the action. Not excusing what they did, but I remember being around that age and the occasional “kid justice” on another kid who deserved it for one reason or another. We didn’t make them drink piss – but they probably would have chosen that over what was done to them. Maybe this kid deserved it.

      Like in the movie Meatball’s. Maybe these kids are from the cooler, Camp North Star and this urine kid is from the wealthier, elitist Camp Mohawk. He was sent there to use slingshots to sabotage one of the competitions going on during the Olympiad. Joseph Wendall Reid, playing the role of Bill Murray, busts him in the act and he and his fellow campers hand out some revenge. Afterwards, Joseph gives a fellow camper the courage to run in the big race, in turn making friends with the other campers he didn’t seem to fit in with. In return, this same camper gives Joseph the courage to finally make the moves on the head counselor, Roxanne.

      The 12-year-old supposedly made a racist remark to another Scout at the camp. The victim denies saying anything racial or derogatory.

      I think a 21-year-old picking on a 12-year-old is pretty pussy….regardless of what the kid did or did not say. And the fact that he needed 3 other kids to help? Even pussier….

      Here, here, So Jaded! This is just a shitty story about some little needle-dick-fuck-head trying to play “big man”. He needs to have “pussy” tatted on his ugly little forehead.
      Nothing that kid could have said warranted this type of bullshit or any “kid justice”. That’s why kids are not judges and jury. Kids are not capable of seeing all the way through their actions to the consequences of their actions.
      I’m thinking this guy will have a long road to get over this if ever. Hope all of his physical health test come back just fine.

      Ok first of all,U guys need to shut up about Joseph Reid..U dont even know him to call him those names..I went to church with him and I know him pretty well and he is not a bad kid..Yes he could be a jerk at times and yes he had some issues but he was still a nice young man..Also the other 3 boys arent bad kids either cuz they all went to my church and they actually were really nice kids…And some of U are saying how they need to be taught a lesson in prison well the odds are that is Joseph goes to prison he will be killed..Now how would you like for people to be saying that about your son and then he gets killed in prison..Also his mom just lost a child and now she is about to lose another so lay off..Yes it was wrong what he did actually what they all did but still a couple months in jail will due then all good so all I have to say is shut your motuhs about the kid cuz he is not a bad kid and the other ones arent either so LEAVE THEM ALONE PEOPLE!!!

      Lots of shitty folks go to church every time the doors are opened. You show so much compassion for an ass that poured piss down a child’s throat? How about showing a little compassion for a 12 year old child that was humiliated beyond comprehension, held by 4 males older and stronger than him, made to drink human waste that very well could threaten his life. Unless this kid is a super-being, it will take a lot of time for him to get over this trauma. Where is your concern or compassion there?
      You need to look at all sides of this situation before coming onto a site and moaning about how we don’t know this guy, he’s a nice guy, etc.

      Your friend isn’t nice. At all. He is a 21-year-old ADULT who tried to show what a big man he was by assaulting a 12 year old KID, then tried to justify it by making up some bullshit about the kid being racist, like the little pussy he is.

      If you are so concerned for his mom, you should be directing your ire at HIM for being such an asshole, not at us for talking about it.

      Actually, pee supposedly doesn't carry and diseases. Still gross and traumatizing, but not as bad as feces or blood, as far as bodily fluids go.

      Really Pee? As stated before pee is harmless. Lots of things go on at scout camp, and I am betting that kid deserved some kind of punishment. I don't believe that a jail sentence and a felony on his record is what was needed here. Everyone makes mistakes, and if you think that completely altering someones life for a stupid act they did is not ok then you all need to step back, and look at all the things you have done in your life. An eye for and eye is not the motto that should be applied to this story.

      FYI… Even though urine is sterile when it leaves the kidneys, risks of transmitting disease do exist if there is a bacterial infection of the urethra. So much for pee being harmless. Small as they may be…the risks do exist!
