RSO Louis Masino Got Caught With Another Child

Morristown, NJ- 60-year old Louis Masino is a Meagan’s Law registrant. In 1996, Masino was accused of molesting and endangering the welfare of a child, who was a family friend. He was sentenced to Community Supervision for life as a “Tier-2 moderate” offender. One of the conditions of his parole was that he was to have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18. Having known all of this, I cannot understand why in the hell old Jesse Jay Shores felt it was okay to leave a 4-year old boy in this monster’s care.

Last Thursday, Masino’s parole officer decided to pay Masino a surprise visit at his home. While in the home, the parole officer noticed that Masino had a 4-year old boy with him and no other adults were present. Both Masino and the child were dressed only in shorts without any shirts on. The parole immediately contacted authorities and Masino was arrested. When detectives interviewed the boy, he said that Masino had handcuffed his hands behind his back and he was afraid of him. He also said that Masino had taken a nap with him without his clothes on. Masino admitted to the detectives that he had sexual urges toward the child. Masino said when he was laying down with the child, he rubbed his groin against the boy’s buttocks and then touched them with his hands.

Louis Masino was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. On Friday, 22-year old Jesse Jay Shores, the legal guardian of the child, was arrested for bringing the boy to Masino’s home and leaving him there when he knew Masino was a convicted sex-offender. Shores was charged with fourth-degree child abuse and is being held on $10,000 bail.

    OKAY..here we go again. Only a few weeks ago I was saying in another story about how the 74 year old bus driver who was arrested for sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl lived in my town and I didnt feel safe knowing THAT guy was out on bond. NOW, this one, who lives in my old town which is only 25 minutes away from my current home, is worse!

    Why would you leave your poor little 4 year old boy in the care of a sex offender. I dont care if you have known the guy your whole life. What was SO important that you had to endanger your child. I have a 4 and 5 1/2 year old and if i knew this creep was sleeping next to my baby NAKED, i would maim him. PLEASE lock this guy up for good. it’s getting ridiculous.

    I have become too damned cynical. The first thing I thought was whether there money changed hands? And I don’t mean that the guardian was paying for a babysitter.

    Both of these guys need to be locked up for life, and that baby needs to be rescued permanently. Sick, sick, SICK!

    knowingly leave a child with a KNOWN pedo. As I tend to be one of those that second guesses and sees bad where it “may” not be
    I question if this “guardian” did not recieve payment of some
    sort to leave this child with the perv.
    Or just a total jackass that could care less where a child is left or with whom as long as he does not have to deal with the child.

    This story makes me sick. Somehow this is the first to really give me a knot in my stomach. I work in social work and here awful stories all the time….but to knowingly give your innocent 4 yr. old to a registered sexual predator!!!!? I am the mom of 2 toddler boys, I can’t even imagine.

    Hi Katrina, I read your comment & I cant tell you how sorry I am that happened to your son at the hands of Louis Masino..My son could have very well been one of his victims..My son (6) at the time became friends w/the youngest Shores boy..I developed a “friendship” w/the family & was introduced to Louis..He has visited my home on so many occasions..I actually sat & drank coffee w/him many,many times..I HAD NO FREAKIN IDEA HE WAS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER…Luckily my son was never left alone w/this wacko..As for Jessie & Pam they have since married!!
