When The Wife’s Away, Russell Bauer Will Play…With The Children

Crestview, FL- Between the months of January and NovemberNovember reviews in 2008, 30-year old Russell Bauer IV enjoyed some free time with two young girls, ages 5 and 6, in his home. When his wife began visiting the doctor on a regular basis for a medical condition, Bauer began molesting the girls left in his care. After officers received a tip this last March about Bauer’s dirty deeds, they began an investigation on the former daycare co-owner.

Bauer admitted to the police that on several occasions he sat one of the girls on his lap and fondled her vaginal area over her clothing. He said he would also grind his pelvic area with hers and said the girl didn’t know what was happening at the time because he would hug and tickle the child while he did this.

Bauer also stated that on one occasion, he laid against one of the girls while she was sleeping and, when the girl didn’t wake up, he removed her shorts and panties and “fondled her buttocks and rubbed his penis on her buttocks.” Not yet satisfied he then “turned her over and performed oral sex on her and then rubbed his penis on her vagina.“

Russell Bauer IV was arrested last FridayFriday reviews and charged with sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12 and lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim under the age of 12. Both of his bonds were denied. Even though police are saying that there’s always a possibility of more victims, they believe no other children who were at the daycare at that time have been harmed. They feel these two girls were the only children involved in this incident.

An inmate in the Okaloosa County Jail on child molestation charges killed himself Tuesday, jail officials said.

Russell Bauer IV, 30, jailed since last Friday, was found about 3:30 p.m. with a piece of a bedsheet tied around his neck, said county Corrections Director Larry Caskey.

Officers tried unsuccessfully to revive him, Caskey said.

Yeah, that part’s not too clear. From what I understand, he and his wife operated a daycare and, when his wife left, he was left to watch over all the children unattended. I believe these were daycare children.

That statement is like saying: The entire state of N.Y. is covered over in concrete. (I heard someone from Iowa say that.)
I happen to live in one of those “inbred, meth-infested,” non-metropolitan areas of N.W. Florida. And, I take great umbrage at such a foolish, and ignorant statement. Tallahassee is not only the state capitol, but also the home to two major state universities, and the National Magnetics Lab.
There are rednecks everywhere, and having lived in both northern and southern areas, the northern rednecks are the worst. Like Leon Russell said: “… you’ve got to see Chicago Zoo. They’ve got the flying northern rednecks, and a goose-step point of view.”
