James Mammone III Really Got Even With The Ex

Canton, Ohio–It seems like just yesterday, I was writing a story about a heinous and selfish bitch who slit the throats of her two children. Oh wait…it was just yesterday. What are the chances, then, that I would have another tale that closely mirrors the Debra Jeter story? I’d say the chances of that happening are pretty fucking high. James Mammone III slit the throats of his children too. He one-upped Debra though…he took out his ex mother-in-law as well.
James and his wife, Marcia, just had their divorce finalized in April. It wasn’t an amicable divorce, at all. As a matter of fact, when Marcia filed for divorce in June of 2008, James threatened to “put her in her grave.” Well, here we are one year later, and it wasn’t her he put in the grave, but their children, 5-year-old Macy, and 3-year-old James IV. Marcia’s mother also faced the wrath of the bitter and scorned asshole…the body of 57-year-old Margaret Eakin was found in her home early Monday morning, she had been shot multiple times.
Though an exact time-line hasn’t been established, it all kind of played out like this: Adhering to a standing custody arrangement, James picked up the children at Margaret’s home on Sunday, with no apparent issue. Around 6:00 Monday morning, Margaret’s neighbors reported hearing gunshots and a woman screaming. A car similar to James’ was seen fleeing the neighborhood. Shortly after that, dispatchers got a call from Marcia. She told emergency dispatchers that James was in the driveway of her duplex pouring gasoline over a vehicle parked there. She said she could see the kids in the backseat of his car. “He’s been acting crazy all night. He needs arrested,” Marcia says on the 911 tape. Moments later, she was panicked. “He just broke in! Oh My God. He just broke in!” she said. “Please just get someone here. He’s probably pouring gasoline downstairs, too!” James smashed a screen door in the rear of the house, but couldn’t get in. Deputies were sent to Marcia’s residence, but by the time they arrived, James was gone. Investigators soon tied the shooting and the burglary together…when they realized he still had the kids with him…the hunt was on.
At 8:45 a.m., officers followed James’ car into the parking lot of the apartment complex where he resided. After blocking him in, officers drew their weapons and ordered James out of the car. He complied without resistance. It was then that the children were discovered. Macy and James were both strapped into their car seats…both were dead. James had slit their throats. James Mammone III, 35, is charged with three counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary. He is being held in the Stark County Jail in lieu of $15 million bond.

That dude has some crazy eyes!
I feel for that woman and I’m sure she was scared out of her mind, but I don’t think I could stay in my house and watch him pour gasoline over the car that my children were in. To me my life is less important than my daughter’s and I would lose my life trying to save her if I had too….
Also why did he have the children, he did threaten to kill her. Wasn’t that taken into consideration?????

The thought of those babies strapped in their carseats with their throats slit actually put a lump in my throat. The thought of the betrayal and confusion those kids probably felt is too much to bear.
But does anyone else notice that he has Captain Kangaroo’s haircut?

Jesus, RA. I was coming in here to post a picture of Simon Le Bon, but your is much better and surprisingly, a much better likeness.
Can you imagine the terror those two kids went through? Especially since one of them watched while their father killed the other. If I were the mother of these two kids, I would murder this man somehow – and then promptly blow my brains out. I don’t think I could function as a normal human constantly thinking about my two kids going out in such a fashion.

That is exactly what gave me the lump. I was trying to decide which one he would have killed first. Either scenario is bad. Throat slitting is a pretty bloody way to kill someone. There would have been a mess.
I can only hope that the last one to die was napping when the first got killed. Or both were napping and had NO idea. Somehow, I doubt that someone who would do this to his own children would care either way.
Oh, and I hate that haircut. I hate bangs on men.

i’ve been reading for a very long time and i don’t know why, but this is what has finally put me over the edge and made the think “fuck you, asshole!!!!! you deserve whatever you get and it probably wouldn’t even be enough then!”. thinking of those babies strapped into their carseats in the care of the father they trusted and with no defense at all.
i wish he’d have just taken his own damn self out and left this family to move on and perhaps some day have a peaceful life. those poor babies.

I think the mugshot of him and the evil fetus stealing mother murderer are making those faces to support an “insanity defense.” I’m with 2 boys mom in NC. What a piece of crap.
Evil freaking liver fluke killed those babies and his ex-mother in law so the ex wife would suffer, I’m sure. She was probably safe as houses since killing her would save her from a lifetime of horror.
If the lead singer from Great White and Captain Kangaroo had a baby with no conscience, it would look like him. I really, really hate this guy.

A man arrested in the deaths of his two young children and former mother-in-law apparently wanted to “inflict severe emotional pain” on his ex-wife and calmly confessed to the crimes, Canton Police Chief Dean McKimm said Tuesday.
McKimm said James Mammone III, 35, did not sign the statement but his account of the killings were recorded.
“He did provide us with what we consider to be a full confession to the crimes in question,” the chief said. “He was surprisingly frank and cooperative in the investigation and the subsequent confession.
“The motive that’s surfaced so far is he just wanted to inflict severe emotional pain on his ex-wife, as extreme as that may be by the methods used,” McKimm said.

Things to do today:
1. Inflict severe emotional pain on ex wife. CHECK!
I never understood how someone can be so concerned about destroying the life of someone else that they’d ruin their own in the process. The emotional victory he gets by knowing his ex-wife is suffering would be offset by the fact that she gets the satisfaction of knowing he is on death row. Then of course, a couple years later when he no longer cares about raining shit on his ex-wife, he’ll have nothing but remorse and regret about seeing his own children’s faces as he murdered them, and of course lamenting his life on death row.
