According to her father, the slain woman had only moved to Tigard from the Annapolis, Md., area a few weeks ago to join her longtime boyfriend, Christopher Popp. He had moved about a month ago to set up their apartment and new life in Oregon after he got a new job. The couple had been together since she was 18 and planned to get married, the father said.
“There was nothing more exciting in her life than this baby that was coming,” he said.

I hope the SheBeast gets the extra murder charge for killing baby  “John Steven”.  Eight Months is old enough to survive out side of a womb and it was doing just fine were it was before “SHE” came along, ripped it out and stuffed Heather into the crawlspace of her kitchen. 
My Heart goes out to the friends and family of “Heather Meagan Snively”.

I wonder if the SheBeast watched the season finale of  ”Private Practice” back in early May.  Its pretty much a copy cat of the same thing.  And the Craig’s list time line contact was just after the show aired.  Coincidence??  I don’t think so.
On the show a crazy Katie shows up at the pregnant womans house with a syringe full of some paralyzing agent and a medical kit. She thought the baby was talking to her from the womans womb,  She was rescuing her baby from Violet’s body!.  She was going to use a scalpel to cut the baby out.
Some one even left a comment on the shows website about it:
The season finale reflecting the attack on Violet is disturbing… Some storylines are meant to remain in the imagination of the writers rather than potentially cause emotionally trauma to those genuinely concerned for Violet’s well being… I wonder what dilusional soul watched this episode and was motivated to cause harm to another because of the images imprinted in her psyche. I am not pleased with the manner in which this episode ended – it was not necessary.

An autopsy report on the killing of a woman who was eight months pregnant said she died of “blunt force” and “sharp force” injuries, but a medical examiner won’t say how her child died.

It’s unclear how the baby was extracted. Dr. Christopher Young, a deputy state medical examiner for Oregon, said Monday he expects to release more autopsy results in the case, though probably not on Monday.

I am no rocket scientist, but even I can figure out that means she bonked Heather on the head with something ( fry pan , Bat??)  till she stopped moving then cut the baby out of her with a knife.  How the hell that went on with out the boyfriend hearing it is beyond me.  The 2 were probly in the kitchen having a cup of tea.  If she drugged her there shouldn’t have been any blunt force trauma.

HILLSBORO – Heather Snively, the 21-year-old Tigard woman who was allegedly murdered over the weekend, was cut open so her unborn son could be removed from her womb, an autopsy has determined. A t this point, it isn’t known whether the pregnant woman died from blows to the head or from being cut open, said Sgt. David Thompson, spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The autopsy determined that Snively’s baby was removed from the Tigard woman’s womb. But Thompson said additional tests and laboratory work were necessary before officials would know whether the baby was taken from the womb alive or dead.
Thompson said that Roberts had been claiming for months to be pregnant. He said she even told her live-in boyfriend that she was expecting twins. 
Thompson added that detectives believe Roberts may have been in touch with a number of pregnant women in the Portland area.  He said anyone who had contact with Roberts, either in person or over the Internet, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 503-846-2700
Snively’s body was found by deputies in a crawl space beneath the floor of Roberts’ rented home. Thompson said the space was accessed by a trap door in the floor and that Roberts could have placed the body there without the help of an accomplice.

Korena went to court yesterday, but didnt enter in a plea, there still waiting to see if the state is going to file a murder charge for baby John on her.  There is some court picts of the SheBeast here, .

Oregon is one of the crappy states as far a fetus rights go, in 2004 the government passed a “Unborn Victim’s of Violence Act” but it only pertained to government land, 37 other states joined in since then.  It basically allows a separate Murder charge for the fetus from the mother.  There is a very broad range of Fetus age .
The states that didn’t join the UVVA pretty much used the “Born alive rule” , specific criteria must be met to file a Murder charge. I think its something like it has to be a certain number of months along and able to live out side the womb, so basically 6 months + .  Then the next factor is was it alive,  for some Tard reason, inside the mothers womb it is not considered alive, it has to have taken one small breath of air. Thats were there at with Baby john, even though Heather was less than 30 days from her due date. 
I don’t know how there going to reasonably account for that, there was all kind of people giving the baby CPR and trying to save its life.  I am sure it mucked up the forensic pretty bad.  And who knows how bad a butcher job Korena did with her kitchen floor  C-section. 
An autopsy revealed that an Oregon woman who died last week was cut open so her baby could be removed from her womb She is charged with the death of Snively, not her baby because the unborn child must have taken a breath to meet the legal standard of being alive, Washington County prosecutor Bob Hermann said.
“The issue is, was the child alive at all, at any point in time?” he said. “That’s the legal issue we’ve got to try and resolve.” Authorities said an autopsy indicated Snively had “head wounds” and “cutting injuries” to her abdomen, although the cause of death has not be determined. More tests and laboratory work are necessary before officials know whether the baby was alive or dead when removed from the womb, the newspaper said.

Well that didn’t take long,  Oregon Sen. Bruce Starr wants to rush though a bill to join the rest of the states who use the “Unborn Victim’s of Violence Act” .  Though his is a bit weak in the punishment part,  it only has a 10 years sentence for killing a child.  Ohh well its way better than what they have now, hopefully they will tack on more years than 10 before it makes it way to becoming a law.

Snively’s mother has said her daughter and Roberts met through Craigslist while Snively was living in Maryland, and that the two became friends and talked online. Snively moved to Oregon because her boyfriend, the father of her unborn child, found a better job there.
Roberts has two young children of her own.
The father of one of those children, 31-year-old Travis Tooley of Billings, Montana, said his relationship with Roberts was brief. He described Roberts as childish and difficult to communicate with.
“She’s just not normal,” Tooley said.
“It’s so absolutely insane. It’s like (she had) a broken wire or something.”
Tooley, however, said he did not know of any history of mental illness.
Court documents filed in October in a child support dispute between Roberts and Tooley show Roberts was relying on support payments and student financial aid to get by.
Tooley said his main concern now is to get the 10-year-old girl out of Oregon and to Montana.
“I remember how cruel grade-schoolers can be,” Tooley said. “How’s she going to ever understand it? Nobody is ever going to understand it.”

Korena Roberts sobbed as she was brought into Washington County Court to plea not guilty to four counts aggravated murder, one count murder and two robbery charges in the death of Heather Snively, 21. None of the charges applied to Snively’s unborn son, Washington County District Attorney Bob Hermann said.
The new charges stemmed from prosecutors’ contention that Roberts killed Snively, tried to kidnap the unborn child and subsequently conceal the crimes.

There was no evidence the unborn boy ever took a breath, Hermann said. An autopsy had been conducted to try and establish breathing.

Newly released court documents detail a “violent struggle” as a pregnant woman was killed earlier this month.

According to her boyfriend, Yan Shubin, “Korena was taking pre-natal pills,” and pretended to go to an ultra sound appointment. Shubin told detectives, his girlfriend “was taking mid-wife classes at PCC community college.”
When her boyfriend found Roberts on the day of the murder, police suggest, “Korena was sitting in the tub with an infant… only wearing a bra.”
She initially told medics, she’d just given birth. But, the documents show, Roberts later told her boyfriend “she did a horrible thing.”
The search warrants outline various items seized from Roberts’ home and car, including blood samples and a knife.

On the morning of Snively’s death, Shubin left for work at 6 a.m. He returned to their Beaverton-area home just after 11 a.m. for lunch and Roberts made him a sandwich. Everything seemed normal, Shubin, 26, later told authorities.
At 2:30 p.m., Shubin left work at and headed to the bank. Roberts called him at 2:37 p.m., Shubin told investigators. I need you, Roberts said. She sounded like she was in pain.
Shubin raced home. When he arrived, he saw blood on the floor and headed to the bathroom. Roberts, wearing only a bra, sat in the bathtub holding the baby. The water was running.
Someone called 9-1-1 at 2:42 p.m. Dispatchers relayed CPR instructions. Firefighters and paramedics responded within four minutes. Roberts and the baby arrived at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center at 2:56 p.m. There, doctors pronounced the baby dead.
Doctors also determined Roberts had not given birth. According to court documents, Roberts spoke to a psychiatrist at the hospital, and Shubin told investigators that Roberts has been taking anti-depressants for at least five years.
At 5:41, deputies returned to Roberts’ home and entered through the unlocked front door. They saw a large piece of white carpet that appeared to have blood-stained footprints and blood smears on it. Blood continued into the hallway and led to the bathroom, where bloody blankets and towels littered the floor.
At the hospital, Shubin and Roberts were alone only a couple of times, according to the court documents. But at one point, Roberts began to tell Shubin what happened before being interrupted by a nurse who walked in.
“According to Yan, Korena told him that she did a horrible thing,” the court documents allege. Shubin eventually told police the body of the mother might be in the crawl space under the house.
Inside the house, authorities found a pool of blood under the carpet next to the crawl space. They used a flashlight to look under the house and saw a large mass covered by carpet. They pulled up the carpet and discovered Snively’s mutilated body.

Freakin She Monster whacked Heather with a baton and cut out the baby with a steak knife. I almost threw up when I read the part about her being in the tub with the baby when Yan showed up. It was way to late for CPR by that time.

The pregnant Tigard woman, killed with her unborn son, struggled against her attacker on the afternoon of June 5. According to court affidavits released Monday, Snively had “bite-like” marks on the back of her right elbow and a large cut along her abdomen, where the 21-year-old’s baby was stolen from her uterus. Authorities also retrieved a “dark-colored hair” from one of Snively’s hands.
Roberts had a five-inch scratch at the base of her neck, according to Washington County court documents, and more injuries appeared on Roberts’ arms after being booked into jail.
….In one of the bedrooms, deputies found a collapsible metal asp, or baton, with apparent blood and hair on it.
….Someone called 9-1-1 at 2:42 p.m. saying a woman pregnant with twins had given birth to one infant that wasn’t breathing. … At 5:41, deputies returned to Roberts’ home to search for the second baby and entered through the unlocked front door

As part of the investigation, authorities obtained search warrants and seized a pair of black gloves, a large black plastic garbage bag, a CD set of Agatha Christie murder mysteries, a black-handled steak knife, and numerous garments suspected to be smattered with blood.
