New Orleans, Louisiana -  Young mother, 17-year-old, Darrion Scott, was out on a nice Wednesday afternoon with her toddler when she decided to hop a bus.  After getting on board she was informed by the bus driver, Hanella Johnson to fold her baby’s stroller and keep it out of the aisle for safety reasons.  However, Scott thought the rules didn’t apply to her and flat out refused.  She plopped her ass in a seat and kept the stroller next to her in the aisle.

Darrion Scott

Johnson repeatedly requested that the stroller be folded and stowed away.  About 15 minutes later, Scott blew her top.  Bus rage, I guess you could call it.  She took the top off her baby’s bottle and doused the driver with milk.  A scuffle broke out between the two.  Scott pulled out a knife and plunged it four inches into Johnson’s torso, just below her right breast.

Long story short, Darrion Scott never did fold the baby stroller.  The injured driver was able to radio in that she had been attacked.  Police arrested psycho mom and her child was released to a relative.  Ms. Johnson is now recovering at home.  RTA is not allowing her to speak about the incident.  Darrion Scott is chilling at the grey bar hotel slapped with a $25,000 bond.

Another waste of space. I’m sure she was using the public transportation to go get her WIC check and then food stamps. Perhaps she could make a crack stop on the way? I’m sure the stroller rule didn’t apply to her because she’s special. Now I bet the bus driver will be fired for racial profiling/discrimination for even asking her to put the stroller away..Unbelievable!

  • nadine

    Rules Are Rules!!!
They Apply To All that want to ride Her Bus
    The End

  • HonkyMagoo

I wasn’t trying to make anything racial. I was simply saying the bus driver will probably be accused of being racial for insisting she put away the stroller. As far as food stamps are concerned, I’ve seen members of every race take advantage of the system and I did not mention anything about her color. You stated that I turn everything racial, can you show me any other post where I have been deemed racial? Didn’t think so..

  • Rotten Apple

    RACIST!!!

Everyone knows you get WIC cards in the mail and food stamps are on a rechargeable card in most states.  AND New Orleans has a crack dealer on every corner, no need to take the bus.  DER!  Plus, chances are, the bus driver was black too, so no racial profiling.

This woman is just one of those self-entitled bitches we see everywhere.   This one just has an extra dose of crazy bitch in her.

  • Barrayaran

I believe it’s “aisle”,  not “isle”.
And yes, Honky — your prejudice is showing.

Oh it must be the screen name. Well its actually the name of a puppy on a cartoon so no, nothing to do with race.

Nah, it was the comment on racial profiling.  It screams “I have a chip on my shoulder about what I think is special treatment for minorities.”

    That’s all.

Isn’t 25 grand a bit light?  I mean it’s not like she wouldn’t do it again.

  • CassieMomma

I hate people like that, like Rotten Apple said entitled.  She just thought she would do what she wanted to do and the driver would shut up and leave her alone to be a bitch.    Good for the driver standing her ground.  It’s too bad she got stabbed though, I mean you shouldn’t have to fear doing your job.  Also like Redds said, the kid was witnessing this whole thing, hopefully the baby stands a chance and doesn’t learn by what she sees!

Actually, I thought you were the first one to start talking about it being racial in the pharmacist case.

    That’s my new favorite word…

Black or white, it’s a shame that this girl is 17 and already starting a life of crime. I hope her kid doesn’t follow in her mom’s footsteps…

  • ReDDs

this bitch was wrong but stating that she on her way to pick wic or food stamps is stating THATS WHAT WE DO WHEN WE GO OUT so I called it RACIST. Who knows were  the fuck she was going, that dont even matter, is her actions that were fucked up if she was on her way to get public assistance that doesnt make her less wrong or going to work make less right.

  • HonkyMagoo

No, how about the fact that she was 17 with a little baby and no apparent transportation? Is that not a sign of needing public assistance? I said nothing about her color being the reason for that so no need to pull the race card once again and put words in my mouth.

  • http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Athena

Not that I’m condoning anything, necessarily, but sterotypes and prejudice exist for a reason.

The WIC statement was totally justified for the reasons HonkyMagoo (LMAO) gave. Had this bitch been white, the fact that she was a young mother taking a bus makes it reasonable to assume that she might be on WIC.

Now, had someone said “I’m sure she was using the public transportation to go get her WIC check and then food stamps and go back home to her trailer. Perhaps she could make a meth stop on the way? I’m sure the stroller rule didn’t apply to her because she’s special,” nobody would have had a goddamn thing to say about it. In fact, comments like that are made around here all the time, and no one says a thing.

As for the profiling/discrimination comment – it would be fucked up, except… shit like that happens all the time. The pharmacist story is a fine example. Kid gets executed by employee – NAACP comes out saying it must have been because he was black, not because he was, you know, robbing the place.

So, while HonkyMagoo may be a bit prejudiced, it’s not entirely unfounded.

Ultimately, yeah, it was about her being entitled like so many kids are today… AND ghetto (not black – “ghetto”). Entitlement explains failing to fold up the stroller. Ghetto accounts for the rest.

I love that word. Do I have your permission to use it? LOL It would have so come in handy yesterday. But hell I’ll take it today. LMAO..

  • Rotten Apple

What’s up with the public transportation hate up in this place?  When I was 18, I took public transportation all the time…to my classes at a university and my job.  Damn.  Had I been a mother I would have been taking my child to the daycare provided on campus.  I did not have a car because all my money went to tuition and living expenses and public transportation cost me $5 a month.   A damn good deal if I say so.

Athena: Now, had someone said “I’m sure she was using the public transportation to go get her WIC check and then food stamps and go back home to her trailer. See, that would only be comparable had someone claimed that the white woman was planning on claiming that she was singled out because she was the only white person on a bus full of black people.  It’s not the same.  And meth and trailer is mentioned just as much as crack and hood on here.  People don;t say anything either way.

The pharmacy case can not be compared either because this woman  actually injured the driver with her weapon.  The kid in the video was the unarmed one that was already injured on the floor before he was shot 5 more times.  To insinuate that equal rights groups would come to this bitch’s defense JUST because of her race and put her crime aside is just plain insulting.

It rubbed me the wrong way but I tried t make light of it because we have quite a few commenters on here who are just trying to be snarky and fail at it sometimes.  Now, if I noticed a pattern, I might have taken it differently.

  • http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Athena

Awww… no public transportation hate! Shit… I wish I could take the bus these days. Just making an observation about reasonable assumptions.

See, that would only be comparable had someone claimed that the white woman was planning on claiming that she was singled out because she was the only white person on a bus full of black people. It’s not the same.

No one would ever claim that because it doesn’t often happen, even if it’s true. So, you’re right – it’s not the same. That’s why I didn’t attempt to make a comparison, there, instead, opting to point out that minority organizations and self-appointed “community leaders” have been known to pull the race card when it has nothing to do with race.

To insinuate that equal rights groups would come to this bitch’s defense JUST because of her race and put her crime aside is just plain insulting.

Insulting? It was pretty effing insulting when “minority leaders” did JUST THAT after the 2001 Mardi Gras riots in Seattle, claiming that the depth and scope of the situation was fabricated by the media so they could unfairly persecute minorities, even though the video evidence proved unequivocally that the situation was comprised of groups of minorities running around in the crowd beating white people to death.

So, while you may find it insulting (and certainly, no insult was intended) that one would suggest civil rights groups would behave in such a manner, I find the assertion that they wouldn’t to be a bit naive. They have found some pretty ridiculous situations in which to pull the race card.

That said, upon further review of the initial statement, I’m pretty sure HonkyMagoo was referring to the knee-jerk reaction of organizations who will preemtively fire individuals to avoid even the insinuation that there may have been discrimination involved. I just brought up the pharmacist thing because someone else already had.

Of course, I realize that you were trying to make light of the subject. Not so with everyone, though.

  • HonkyMagoo

Thank you Athena for understanding what I was trying to say. There sure seems to be a double standard around here when it comes to race. If you reference the article on Sheila Muhs (and her husband who sadly shot a little boy who they thought was on their property) you will see plenty of comments that could be viewed as racist towards white people. Almost every comment mentions either inbred, incest, trailer trash, illiterate, etc.. Even the title says “Redneck Psycho” but did anyone get upset about that? Oh no because there is a double standard. The thing is I agree with most of the comments! That couple fits the stereotype of so called “trash” and I’m fresh out of sympathy for any criminal of any color.

  • http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Athena

No problem. Us crackers gotta stick together, you know. :P

To some extent, HonkyMagoo, the double-standard is justified. After all, minorities still are minorities and still do suffer discrimination – something that white folks are much less likely to encounter. That gives them reason to be more sensitive about prejudice. That said, I hate to see people get all bent out of shape about comments that appeared to lack malicious intent, and I’d hate to see a relatively new member get tagged a racist prematurely. It can be hard to tell the difference, sometimes, between racism and what amounts to somewhat reasonable prejudice. And like you suggested, prejudice can “equal opportunity”, so to speak. As a white person, I’m just as likely to make comments about “white trash” or “rednecks”, too.

  • Sir Geoff

Let’s face it. Most 17 year old mothers are on WIC feeding off the public trough which since they don’t have to learn responsibility get that sense of entitlement which makes them beeyatches. Their baby’s daddy has moved on to the next vagina to create another progeny who will likely grow up another spermchucker or welfare mom and keep the cycle going. Black, white, hispanic that’s usually the way it goes.

  • Rotten Apple

Again, I am not picking on you and I can see where you are coming from.  I just want you to realize that your comment of racial profiling is what brought race directly into your comment.  Whether I or anyone else agrees with you or not, that is it.  Crackhead, methhead, redneck, trailer trash, etc are all derogatory names, but you are lumping an entire race including people who HAVE been the victims of racial profiling into the same category as this criminal.  I don’t know any other way to break it down for you.

And the Muhs were my story and I chose redneck.  Should I be ashamed?  No, because I am not saying all white people are rednecks, I am saying these people are rednecks and not the cool kind.  Hell, I was told just last week I was the first Mexican redneck a certain person had ever seen.  LOL!  I just took it as meaning I was country.  It made me laugh.

You have to accept that certain words and phrases are going to offend and make people think you mean something other than what you may have intended.  Those comments are open to discussion…or attack, so choose wisely.

Sir Geoff: … who will likely grow up another spermchucker or welfare mom and keep the cycle going. Black, white, hispanic that’s usually the way it goes.

That word gave me an image of that scene in Silence of the Lambs.  Niiiice!

  • mazzi

Athena used the word “stereotype” a few posts up. That word has gotten a lot of flack and has become associated with racism in the past 30-some years. In my psychology classes I have seen a trend towards using a different word instead – “schemas’.

The difference is that stereotypes (in today’s language) tend to follow the visible attributes (skin color, ethnicity), whereas schemas have more to do with the personal attributes.

So, in this case, what we know is that we have a 17 year old mother who is riding on public transportation. I think that it is a fairly safe assumption that she is not successfully employed, since even a HS graduate at 17 is not likely to get anything besides a burger-flipping job.  And, because she was pregnant at 15 or 16 (her baby is a toddler), chances are that she is NOT a HS graduate. The fact that she does not have a car would indicate that she does nt have a lot of disposable income or come from a wealthy family. So, the chances are high that this girl is on public assistance.

Next, she demonstrated that she does NOT follow the rules. She refused to follow simple civil rules that make things more pleasant for all of us. She then made aggressive moves to defend her defiance (pouring the milk) and finally assaulted the driver.  I would say that those things indicate that she is not socialized, and is therefore likely to have an “entitled” attitude.  That type of attitude is often a precursor to denial-type behavior. (I am being picked on because of ___fill in the blank ___). We can see that the girl is black. Therefore, the most logical excuse that the girl would use would be that she was treated unfairly because of her race (particularly if the driver was not also black.)

So, based on all of that, I would say that Magoo’s post was not off target, or stereotypical – assuming that s/he used those actions to form the opinion. Certainly no more than the rebel flag, the trailer, the handwritten trespassing sign and the shotguns in the Muh case would allow a thoughtful person to form a schema (crazy-ass rednecks) about them.

A schema is simply a way of processing the facts quickly, based on the kinds of observations I walked through. We really don’t have to go through the whole step-by-step process to say that a 17 year old mother on a bus with a bad fucking attitude is probably a loser, and I don’t think that jumping to that conclusion is racist just because the loser happens to be black.

  • mommacrazy30

dude i read this as an AP article in the newspaper today.  what a stupid bitch.  how special IS SHE?

  • mommacrazy30

    schmema=smegma?   just wondering?

  • annieTX

She should have pulled out that knife when she was about to get impregnated.

  • Rotten Apple

mazzi: …old mother on a bus with a bad fucking attitude is probably a loser, and I don’t think that jumping to that conclusion is racist just because the loser happens to be black.

It was the part where she said:

HonkyMagoo: Now I bet the bus driver will be fired for racial profiling/discrimination for even asking her to put the stroller away…

THAT is where the comment got twisted.  Good lord people, if something requires that much effort to explain away, maybe you should think of a different way to word it.

If  Honky had a right to jump to a conclusion or use a stereotype to save time, so did anyone who took offense.  Just like 17 year old girls with babies can be stereotyped to be on WIC and foodstamps, and using public transportation means you are poor, then people who scream that someone else is using the race card when that has not even happened yet, can be stereotyped as being racist.

    Fair is fair right?

The woman’s race, situation in life or anything else thrown at her doesn’t entitle her to be such an inconsiderate little bitch; of course, she might think it does.  In fact, these sort of people would be the first ones to pull the racial card or the “rich snob” card.  In these times, people can’t be ‘played’ with a guilty conscience since most were born after all the racial strife in the 60s… heck, most young people today enjoy and emulate the diversities of the other races in our country… just look around you!  I have a nephew with fake gold teeth and he loves all things “gangsta”… he’s as hillbilly as they come… I laugh my head off just listening to him talk his ‘gangsta’ talk… what a riot!

my ex was wheelchair bound and for whatever reason, we’d invariable run into these entitlement tards on train or bus and they’d REFUSE to unass the “Reserved for Handicap” benches (the benches fold up to allow room for wheelchairs) no matter how many times they were asked, or told by the driver/operators.. they’d refuse, or they’d pull the race-card saying the classic ‘it’s because I’m black, ain’t it?’ crap.. i always felt bad for the driver/operators having to contend with these lowlifes. :(

This one makes me want to wrap that friggin’ stroller around her damn head and shove the end of it up her ass sideways..

i won’t apologize for how i feel about this.
