Riverside County, CA – Not too long ago, I was reading about the recent and apparently unprecedented increase in suicides among military recruiters. There’s nothing remotely funny about these suicides, but I had to wonder if recruiters are becoming more “creative” in their attempts to lure young people into the military. Turns out at least one has, as on May 23rd, Staff Sgt. Bryan Cunningham and two would-be recruits were arrested for trying to pimp out a 14-year-girl. After, of course, they’d had their turn with her.

Apparently Cunningham met the girl on a social networking site when she was 13 and eventually started a real “relationship.” He, along with 18-year-old Justin Willard and 19-year-old Homer Daskalakis, were arrested after the car in which they and the girl were traveling fortunately was involved in an accident. I say “fortunately,” because supposedly the whole point of the trip was to make some money by pimping out the 14-year-old. As if it wasn’t bad enough that these three fine upstanding gentleman had already taken turns with her.

The 33-year-old Cunningham faces several felony charges, including a number related to forced/coerced sexual acts with a minor and attempted pimping. While he’s sitting in Southwest Detention Center with bail set a $1,000,000, the Marine Corps has begun proceedings to “administratively [separate] Cunningham to expedite civilian prosecution in this case.” As for his Long Beach recruiting substation, I’m thinking either there will be some morale issues there for a while or it will experience a seemingly inexplicable increase in traffic.

The two “would-NOT-NOW-be-recruits” are faced with felony charges of unlawful intercourse with a minor more than three years younger and oral copulation with a person under age 18. Bail was set for $50,000 for each; WillardWillard reviewsWillard reviews has posted bail and is scheduled to be arraigned June 24.

Thanks, Fresh. I’ve been here long enough to know that there are certain stories that upset us for reasons we’ve not quite articulated for ourselves. This is one of those for me. I understand that older men–especially older men in positions of power–often look “good” to young girls. And yes, young women may feel empowered by the power that comes with being female and young and new to themselves as sexual beings…but thinking of what this particular young lady may have to deal with as a result of this experience…damn.

Well written, and I know exactly what you are talking about.
Then there is the I will do anything for a man in uniform. Girls that age are easily swayed by their own peers not to mention some god in uniform that is going to rock their world.
Fuckers they are rapists. that’s all.
