Cynthia Roberson Made The Kids Do The Dirty Work

Phoenix, Arizona–Cynthia Roberson was devastated when she lost her job back in April. How was she going to put food on the table? Pay the rent? Make the payments on her Chevrolet HHR? Since prostitution is out of the question, for obvious reasons, she came up with another brilliant idea…she’d turn her two young sons and their friends into thugs and learn ‘em in the fine art of armed robbery. Fan-fuckin-tastic, Cynthia!
Roberson, dubbed “Ma Barker” by investigators, her two sons, ages 12 and 14, and five others face charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault. Roberson and her gang of thieves all occupied the same filthy apartment. Police believe she guilted all of the parties involved into committing robberies to make the rent and car payments. Police have identified at least 20 violent robberies in which Roberson and her little gang were involved, and believe they are responsible for as many as 20 more. In all 20 cases, Roberson drove the get-away car, a very identifiable gold Chevy HHR. Each time the crew robbed, a victim was injured. One victim was hospitalized with a concussion. In another robbery, a 13-year-old boy was beaten into submission and forced to empty his pockets. The kid had no money and no cell phone, his pockets contained nothing but a single orange lollipop.
In one robbery, Roberson, fine mother that she is, actually coached her 14-year-old son when he had difficulty getting a victim to hand over a cell phone. That victim ended up getting hit upside the head with a gun. Police said different boys and men were involved in each robbery, but that all of them, including the 12-year-old, used a gun or a pellet gun in the crimes. Police don’t know how much money the crew made, but said the figure couldn’t be very high, considering they usually made away with nothing but a cell phone or a bit of cash.
Roberson’s 12-year-old son has been placed into protective custody, but still faces charges, and her 14-year-old son now sits in a juvenile detention facility. Two other juveniles, ages 14 and 16, are also sitting in juvie. The other *ahem* adults in this little scheme are as follows: Jorge Elias, 18, Tony Vaughn, 20, and Jason Moore, 20. A search of the apartment revealed a sawed off shotgun, two pellet guns, a sub-machine gun, and several stolen items from the reported robberies. All of the adults are facing several armed robbery charges…Roberson, 51, is getting extra charges thrown on, including child abuse and conspiracy.
And what does Roberson have to say about all of this? She shifted blame to the guys, saying that she thought they were doing gang initiations when she saw them beating up others as she waited in her car. This woman is a revolting, steaming pile of malodorous human excrement.

I’m not sure how to feel about the kids facing charges if they were coerced by their mother into doing it. I suppose it depends on the types of charges the kids were facing. I mean, technically, they did have options, but damn… How hard is it to go to authorities to tell them your mother is encouraging you to rob people?

Totally agree. They are young enough that they could still turn their lives around if they had a loving relative or someone to live with, foster care could end up fucking them up worse, though it just totally depends on the particular foster parent. Hell, it wouldn’t take much to be a better parent than this skank-nasty bitch! But what good is putting these kids in the juvie detention system going to do? They’ll just end up truly hardened little criminals who will end up upping the ante once they get out.

holy crap! So these kids were groomed to be failures since they hit puberty and who know how long before. This fugly bitch ruined these kids lives. I doubt they can easily be turned around now. It’s in their blood.

I just don’t understand what she really thought the kids were going to get robbing young teens. And I wonder if they fought over the lolly pop ??? The thought of Ma Barker sucking on it makes me want to vomit.
The only thing I can imagine was, it was all training on her part to work them up to the big stuff. See how they do with the small fry then go after the banks and kidnapping. Ohh Hell I think she is a nutbag anyways , thats probly the best her tiny pea mind could come up with.

Talk about those kids getting shafted. Yeah, they sound like trouble, but no doubt they have been coached and threatened to do such things by that pieceofshit “mother”. She’s pathetic and a joke. Leading children to do her dirty bidding. I hope she’s made a stiff example of what happens when you lead children in to crime.
Children always get the shit. Starting a life in crime lead by an adult. Anytime I read where children are doing crimes of this type and others, almost always its a dumbass involved too. Sucks.
