Albuquerque, NM–There was some weird shit going on at the Reflections Funeral & Life Celebrations funeral home SundaySunday reviews
night. Police officers found 17-year-old Dominic Goodmoney near the business, uncooperative, covered in blood, digging his fingers into open wounds on his body, and banging his head on a wall. Nearby, officers found a knife. That was only the beginning of the bizarreness…
In his possession, officers found a check from the funeral home, credit card receipts from the home, and collectors coins. Acting on those handy little tips, officers decided to investigate further. At the business, they found proof of a break-in…broken glass, items scattered about, and a dead lady suffering from blunt force trauma. For reasons known only to Goodmoney, the little weirdo broke into the funeral home, made a mess of the mortuary, and beat up a dead chick. He actually rolled a dead lady out of the refrigerated compartment and beat her in the head with a blunt object, several times. “(He) Just absolutely desecrated the body of that deceased individual,” said John Walsh with the Albuquerque Police Department. There is no indication that he had any connections to that particular body, and so far, no motive.
Goodmoney stood before a juvenile court judge Wednesday afternoon. While he will face charges related to the incident, apparently, there is no law on the NM books about mutilating a corpse. It is against the law to desecrate a marked burial ground in New Mexico, but corpses in the mortuary don’t fall under that law. Because of this particular crime, DA’s office will ask the Legislature to make corpse mutilation a felony. Dominic Goodmoney, 17, remains in custody at the juvenile detention facility and will, understandably, undergo a mental evaluation before prosecutors file any charges. The corpse is being examined by the ME’sMe office to determine how badly the body was damaged. Creepy little fucker…

WOW, his and his girlfriends myspace pages scared the shit out of me! How are so many kids falling through the cracks to such a degree to become thugs, etc.? I think many of them do their pages up for *shock* value but so many others…this is their lives they are living day to day and they think it’s the coolest thing, I just don’t understand it. None of these young people can write a complete sentence using actual English and good grammar. I use to feel safe where I live but recently I have noticed a few kids walking around with the black bandanas around their faces (I live in a very rural part of Oregon). Just scares the shit out of me!

You’ve got it backwards, I’m afraid. Shock rap (rock, et. al) does not turn people psycho. Psycho people are just especially attracted to shock music. ICP and Marilyn Manson get referenced the most because they’re the most mainstream shock performers. But the same kind of bullshit has been associated with G.G. Allin, Brotha Lynch, Cannibal Corpse, etc., etc.

Oh yeah!! He had to spend the whole day (last Friday) in the principal’s office. In the form of punishment, I have hidden all of my potted plants and he is not playing any video games for a week. In his defense, the principal said that he knows when they really have to go and when they are just doing it to be naughty. He thinks J was busy playing and REALLY had to go. I’m still afraid for my Ficus tree.

So, before all of you village idiots round up and set fire to the kid, you might bother to read additional articles. What this one fails to mention is that this kid is being raised by his grandmother because he saw his father murder his mother and then commit suicide. What he did was deplorable, but it could have been far worse. Clearly, it’s a cry for help. If this poor kid doesn’t get the help he needs now, the next time he’ll be beating a living person. Have some humanity and hope this kid gets the services and assistance he desperately needs.

There was another comment from someone hoping he was o.k. because they were in rehab together.
The comments really show a lot of sympathy. I really don’t have any for him. It appears though at this stage there’s no charge to bring for what he did to the lady’s body, but I hope they nail him with eveything else they can.
Maybe the family can bring a suit against him personally and collect anything he may have or get, if anything.

Goodmoney’s grandmother said when he was four years old, the day after Thanksgiving 1995, he watched as his father shot and killed his mother before turning the gun on himself.
She said Dominic went to live with her after that but never recovered.

I have to say someone failed this kid. He needed help from the age of 4. Was he given any?? There may have been hope for him at that time but not now. My cousins were present when their father murdered their mother and then shot both of them and left them for dead. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound days later in a motel when the cops caught up to him. Both cousins recovered and had many years of therapy. Both have live without anything more than traffic violations as crimal activity.
This child is lost. He may even be past the point of rescue.

at age six my dad was murdered in our home-soon after my mom was hit by a drunk driver and totally disabled. I ended up being past around by family for awhile. There were other incidents; however, never once did I want to beat up a corpse…
Treat them like a victim and they will always have a crutch to lean on.
