Zumbrota, Minnesota–Nothing ruins a good sleepover like daddy getting sloshed and all touchy-feely with the young ‘ens after the lights go out. I guess that’s one way to guarantee your child never asks for permission to host a slumber party again. Jacob Myran, 25, is being accused of sexually assaulting his daughter’s 8-year-old friend during a sleepover.

According to the criminal complaint filed last week, the young victim told authorities she was sleeping in the top bunk at her friend’s house when Myran crawled into the bed and assaulted her, with another young girl sleeping in the bed below. The child said Myran appeared to be drunk. The complaint states that the incident did not involve intercourse. The girl told relatives that she didn’t say anything sooner because she thought no one would believe her. Relatives had noticed a change in the young girl since the night of the slumber party…she’s become distant, they said. She avoids going to the home where the incident occurred and she no longer plays with Myran’s child…something she used to do every day.
While investigating the sexual assault claim, investigators got a peek at Myran’s computer. I guess you wouldn’t be surprised if I told you he used that computer to access child pornography. Jacob Myran has been charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Bail was set at $200,000.

Sleepover’s are overrated, and I never had one live up to my expectations when I was a kid. Thank God I never had one go this downhill.
I’m not surprised by the child porn at all, and wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it came out at some point that daddy also tried to diddle his daughter.

Holy shit! my son has a little girl spend the night (they are eight) – I put up a tent in the family room and give them flash lights. For breakfast we always take them for bagels. I make it fun and less pervy than this dad did. It’s funny how your kids do better in life when you don’t abuse or molest them or their friends.

Oh man, I feel so sorry for his daughter. As another said above, I’m sure that to begin with that she’s been abused somehow before now. Now it will probably be all over her school what happened and this sick fuck’s daughter will be the one being socially punished.
I hope both the girls find some way to get past this and heal completely. I also hope that this ass loses any chance of any kind of custody with his daughter.

Unfortunatley, that part of MN isn’t a cluster of cities, but more like farm towns, so it’d be hard to pick up and move somewhere and start fresh. These little towns are FULL of gossip and everyone is in everyone’s business…which would follow them even if they moved 2 towns over…

Ok low and behold, I am the Mother of these his two daughters, there isnt just one there is two. Jake and I have been divorced for 6 years and the judge had granted him 50/50 custody of my daughters, boy what a mistake. I live in a bigger town in MN and I now have full Custody of them thank god. I hope he gets everything he deserve in Jail. I just think how could I have not known.Jake was very abusive to me and that is why I left him, but as there father I guess I never would have exspected this. There is an investiagtion going for both my daughter also, they have mentioned a couple of thing, but havent admitted anything yet. I HATE there father and I only wish he would get life in prison so Bubba could do to him what he did to all these inaccent girls. Well a little more info for u guys, Jake lives with his parents and didnt work or anything, and now his Mommy and Daddy say that all these little girls are lying, but yet I got a call from there Lawyer and there taking me to court for Full Custody of my daughters. So anyone now anyway I can get help with a Lawyer?? Im engaged and we also have a 10 months old and we have full custody of my FIances oldest daughter, I work in a Great Hospital here and Have a 4 bedroom house. I just dont know what to do about Jakes parents tring to take custody of my Daughters being that this all happend in there house under there supervision. My Fiance and I love our all our girls and I wish the Judge would have awarded us full custody when we tried. I ask for u all to Pray for my daughters and our family we are going through alot right now thanks to this Nasty Child Molesting A** Hole. I really do hope he gets a bubba in Prison.

If what you say is true, and you are a good mother, no judge will take your children away and give them to the grandparents – Especially those that had child molesting going down in their home and are screaming that the monster is innocent. My Fiance is great, I defenatly found a great man!! Thank You and No I have no Drug problems, nothing on my record, I work full-time and take care of my kids, I dont even smoke. Like I said my fiance and I both just work and come home and spend time with all our daughters.

Grow up Tabby, you are not what you are writing – you don’t have a relationship with those girls – none what so ever. Those poor girls don’t hardly know you. I’m a friend of that family and his “mommy and daddy” are two of the most wonderful people I know. They have done an amazing job with your daughters and you should be very thankful. How dare you slander them like this. You know as well as I do you are no perfect mother, ask the social worker. As for Jake, well he will get the help he needs IF this proves to have really happened. I’m not saying either way, because we don’t know for sure what happened. You are not the judge here and you don’t know what happened. The past is the past, but as far as I remember, you were having someone else’s baby at the time you broke up, not his. I hope you have a great man there, be happy with what you have. Don’t cause the family any more hurt then they have already and are experiencing.

This guy needs to burn in hell for what he did to poor innocent little girls!! I side with praytogod on this one. I hope that neither she or her daughters ever have to look at that sick family again. If these grandparents are trying to take these girls away from her, they must be pretty sick too. WHY WOULD YOU EVER GIVE INNOCENT CHILDREN TO A FAMILY THAT RAISES CHILD MOLESTERS? I have a little starey about a 17 year old Boy and a 16 year old Girl they got pregnant I was a furious Mom who didnt want Her Daughter to have this Boys baby.
there was the boys Mom who had assured Me this would all be ok, She could afford to help the kids with Our Grandchild I was in the process of moving I wanted My Daughter to move with We all disagreed with each other Yes..
Sooo Jake and Tab. got married Judge ok’ed it.
so they got an apartment and Jake drank excessively not just a friday night party ever night turned to a party.
I got a call at 3am one morning when Tabby was screaming and crying because Jake Had beat Her and raped Her I then went down to mazzeppa mn. from wayyy upp North I picked up Tab and the girls and theyre lives changed from there Then Debbie said to Tabby oh We wil help you Tabby we will it’s ok, at this point Jake was still a decent dad, well so We thought. so Yes Tab and Jake let the girls go to school from thyre home then, the oldest decided to slowly stop going to Mom’s but the youngesgt always went and I myself was suppose to pick the girls up from Jake He’d let Me visit but I could never take them anywhere alone why???? hmm things are all coming together,
and I think the pieces to the puzzle completely fit, and now because Jakes parents helped as much as they did they think they are the girls parents now? this is just wrong. I think someone really needs to get some counseling other than the girls…
I do admit I have never trusted this Family they always seem sooo nice but when I turn around My neck hairs raise,
and as far as people putting Tab down She is My Daughter and any faults We have are out in the open We do know We are not perfect and We do not hold any dirty little secrets like the ones that have been hiding under the Family Roof there…
I wish for what is proper to happen and it will I have Faith like no other right now,
And I shall continue praying and by the will of God this will all be handled The way the Court sees fit…
and 1 more thing I saw with My own eye’s that the Grandparents have been offered rights, they should be thankful. and… if Jakes Family wouldnt have been calling the girls 5 to 12 times a day and pulling the antics of court here and there boy they sure could be saving money and time if they could only take what they are offered and progress from there no one ever wanted to take them outta theyre lives… sooo they should chill out wake up let time pass and everything should hopefully smooth over for them as far as the kids go just no overnights at theyre house ever again….due to trauma to those poor little INNOCENT girls….
And Yes I am actually mad I have practiced for Years how to stay calm in the worst situations but Damn this is really hard… Yup Im letting it out Im a pissed off Gramma’

Well ill tell ya, I sat in jail with Jake for 30 days. I was not there for anything like that though. During my stay in jail with him he seemed very…normal. It took him a couple of weeks to open up to me, but when he did he explained to me what had happened. Now I know that I only know one side, but I will say that he is very upset and remorseful. All of you individuals who think he should die or spend the rest of his life in prison better think about that really hard. What I mean is you better hope to god that you or anyone you love never makes a mistake, because the way you judged him you shall be judged. Remember that Jake has to live with this forever and the relationship with his daughters are going to be rocky later in life. Thats something he is going to have to deal with. All of you “perfect” people out there who so easily cast judgment on others for their mistakes will someday have someone digging in your closet and when they do…what are they gonna find? OH, now you want someone to listen. I dont agree with what he did….none the less he was under the influence of alcohol. That is no excuse what so ever BUT he is paying for his alleged crime with time and emotional pain. He loves his children…I witnessed him several times crying…I felt for the guy. I know that it was wrong, but I saw the pain he felt, I could see his remorse and fear. I could see that he knew what was to come. Honestly I do not believe he is a bad guy. He just phucked up bad…Bottom line give the guy a second chance. He has more wrongs to make right and I say we give him a chance to make them right.

in refence to My typing I already stated Im not perfect and I never will be wether it is typing or whatever I am human. and before Jake harmed this little 8 year old girl I still kinda liked him.
and in refence to having Him die I dont want that either,that would be wrong/
but with that being said, child molestation is one of the worst things a person can do. He took this little girls childhood and innocense it isnt like he was 19 and she was 16 She was 8, theres no excuses.

I am certainly pleased with My Daughters new Fiance and Family they treat everyone as Family, I have spent time there and I must say they treat Me that way also, and that makes Me comfortable to know they are safe, ;o)
