Teresa Moore Burned The Boy

Wilmington, OH- On May 14, Patricia Waelti had no idea that when she stopped to help a woman she didn’t know with a broken-down car in a Kroger parking lot that she was actually coming face-to-face with a living monster. While the two women chatted, Waelti became horrified when the other woman, Teresa Moore, bragged that she had burnt an 8-year old boy’s fingers as a punishment for smoking cigarettes five days prior.

Moore began telling Waelti that the boy “loves to smoke” and how when she was a little girl, her mother had burnt all her fingers for smoking cigarettes. Moore then said she burnt all ten of the boy’s fingers and had to burn four of them again because they weren’t burnt enough. “I told him I wasn’t doing it to be mean, I was going to teach him,” Moore said. Waelti also noted Moore herself still smoked cigarettes. When Moore proudly showed Waelti the boy’s fingers, Waelti wanted to puke. Waelti said the child’s fingers were as bright Christmas-red sweatshirt and his fingertips covered with blisters that looked like they had been popped and clipped. Waelti became even more shocked when the boy said he had burned his fingers himself and Moore told her, “See? He knows enough to say what we’ll tell him to say.”
Waelti did not report the abuse right away, but after a sleepless night and remembering the way the boy’s big eyes had looked up at her, she reported the crime the next morning to Children’s Services. After an investigation, authorities found the abuse occurred around 9:30 a.m. on May 9 at the boy’s home. It was learned that Moore is the boy’s babysitter and a friend of the family. Moore burned all ten of the boy’s fingers with a cigarette lighter while his crying mother and her boyfriend stood by and watched. Yes, she stood there and fucking watched this Bitch burn her child! The boy was kept from attending school for a week afterward.
Teresa J. Moore, 36, was charged with endangering children, specifically a section that describes torture and abuse. The mother, Michelle M. Worthington, 37, was charged with permitting child abuse. The boyfriend, William L. Ballard, 39, was charged with child endangerment. All three charges are felonies of the third degree, but the prosecutor of the case plans on seeking additional charges through the grand jury in the near future. Each of their bonds were set at $50,000. The boy and his brother are now in the custody of Children’s Services.

That makes me cry….. I thought Jabba the hut was the perp…. I would have beat that bitch until she begged to be set ablaze…..Looks like the girls in jail got to her hair already.. Who starts telling a stranger that they abused a kid? Bragging about it! Playing “Show and Tell” with the injuries?????? I was shocked when I saw it was the sitter that did it. My jaw dropped further when I saw that mom and boyfriend watched. There is little I can even come up with about how that came about… other than they are all a bunch of evil, sick fucks.
Mom should have just sat on her while crybaby boyfriend grabbed the kid and ran.

I absolutely agree. It is the responsibility of every adult in a household to watch over children in their care. You can’t tell me the boy just sat there passively as the bitch burned his fingers. There had to be some kicking and screaming on his part and some kind of restraining implemented by the perp.

Article says she didn’t enter a new plea.
According to this August article, Michelle Worthington pleaded guilty to permitting child abuse and received 4 years. William Ballard pleaded guilty to the same charge and received one year.
