Valencia Davis Left Disabled Child Home Alone

CLEVELAND, OH–Valencia Davis’ daughter was born healthy, but she now suffers from cerebral palsy after swallowing a scrunchie as an infant. The child, Nayla, is now 2 years old and was found by police Tuesday after her father, James, insisted on making a welfare check in person even though Valencia Davis has a temporary protection order barring him from the residence. She also has a history of leaving her children home alone.

James entered the home through an unlocked door and found Nayla unresponsive, breathing heavily, and with mucus covering her face. The horror doesn’t end there. She was wearing a filthy diaper and was hooked up to a feeding tube that ran to an empty bag on the wall. Police described the condition of the home as “ghastly” and found no food save some cereal on the floor. Miss Davis returned home with her other two children and stated she had gone to church to feed them. According to the police report, she says she is the real victim and that it was not wrong to leave a disabled 2-year-old home alone. What planet is this woman on?
Nayla was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and was listed in stable condition. Her worthless mother is facing child endangerment charges and chilling out in City Jail. Sorry Valencia, you’re nothing more than the victim of your own stupidity. Stick to using your lips to sexually gratify your man instead of breeding more children that you won’t take care of.

Crack whores like Valencia Davis are not equipped to take care of disabled children. This child needs to be placed in a home with adults able to take care of her special needs. Depending on what type of feeding tube it is, they are very simple to use. My son spent ten months in an ICU and came home with a g-tube and mic-key button for feedings and medications, some children come home with NG (nasal-gastric) tubes. NG tubes are slightly more complicated because they have to be placed very carefully, but g-tubes like the one my son has is just a button that is first placed by a surgeon, and we attach an extension to it that connects to a bag and feeding pump. They are very easy to maintain and use, you don’t need to go to nursing school for it.
If by monitoring you meant a reasonably intelligent adult, yes, one of those should always be in charge of any child regardless of disability. =D
