Tiffany Toribio Is Callous And Cruel

Albuquerque, New Mexico–On March 15, a mother found the body of a boy buried under the swings of Alvarado Park. For days the police asked the public for any information that could help not only identify the boy, but also aid in piecing together the puzzle of how a young boy ends up buried in the sand of a public park. A composite of the boy was released as well as pictures of the clothes he was wearing. Now the identity of the boy has been discovered, as well as his murderer. What happened to that boy was a bit more heinous than I could have imagined.
The boy is 3-year-old is Ty Toribio and his murderer is his own mother, Tiffany Toribio. Police arrested the 23-year-old woman after family members contacted them stating that the description of the boy on the news matched the description of her son. She confessed to killing her son, and the story she told was pretty heartbreaking.
Toribio and her son were kicked out of a friends house in the early morning hours of May 15. She and Ty went to the nearby Alvarado Park where the two lay down in the sand after the sprinkler system shut off. Once Ty fell asleep, police say that Toribio decided that she did not want Ty growing up like she did – unwanted. So using her hands, she covered his mouth and nose and suffocated him. But then she did something absolutely unbelievable. Racked with guilt, she used CPR to revive him. Once he began breathing, she changed her mind and killed him again. She then buried him under the climbing gym’s hanging bridge.
“What makes this story especially sad was when asked the reason why she took Ty’s life, Tiffany said that she did not want him to grow up with no one caring about him the same way that she had grown up with no one caring about her,” said Police Chief Ray Schultz.
It is being reported that she has attempted suicide while in jail. She is a single mother with no record who had recently been kicked out of her mother’s home and her friend’s apartment, reportedly she withheld affection from Ty and did not pay attention to him. Julie Gonzalez, who lives near the park, said the boy’s mother was “always partying”.

That is so so sad. How could someone take the life of their child, not once but twice? She obviously is disturbed but if she felt she could not take care of him then why not give him to a family who could give him what he needed? Poor little boy….

She deserves the worst punishment that can be handed down to a mother that kills her own child. Look at that baby face, and that smile. How can anyone, even if it’s not their own child, kill such a sweet little person? It makes me ill to my stomach.

I have thought long and hard about this- that bitch killed him a secnd time because she figured out how easy it was for her to do! She killed him and revived him-easy peesy for her. She didn’t decide to do it anyway-she got a thrill out of it.
I think I hate this fucking bitch more than Baby P’s mother today. How the fuck could she just walk away knowing her baby was left somewhere alone? In the forums I commented on how hard it would be for me to not go back. I just couldn’t do it-leave my baby there knowing that she loves to be held while she sleeps, have her face caressed as she sleeps-needs her ladies (lady bug blanket)-I just could not do it.

I don’t think the walking away was hard….why? she just killed her baby boy twice, so walking away was nothing. This is no mother. She is a selfish bitch, a soulless monster. She was the one person to make things better for little Ty, change the way things were for her as a child. Without hesitation, this child would have continued to love his mother even knowing she hurt him….had he lived he would have forgave her. Now, how is that NOT a heart worth treasuring? The only person he cared to be loved by was her and she killed it, buried him like trash.
She deserves a miserable, anguished life. I hope her remaining days alive are just that. If she never felt cared for before, welcome to a new world of people caring that you just die. Nothing gained here bitch but more misery…no one cares about you. No one.

UGH. I read this last night in the news and it just broke my heart. If the people who threw her out did so because she was withholding affection from her son and not treating him well then WHY did they throw HIM out too. And to read in the article that she basically killed him twice….that poor little angel. I hope she was just being overdramatic by saying that about the smother-revive-smother again way she killed him.

I think she did it because she didn’t want him and it was a good way to punish the people who wouldn’t take care of her or provide her with a place to stay. I can’t imagine the anguish those people are feeling over the situation now.
Many people speculated that the child was buried in the playground because whoever put him there wanted the child to be found or because it was a place that once brought him happiness. I think she was just lazy. One stop disposal. Kill him; bury him; move on with her life.
I hope she rots.

This made me want to cry. My daughter also loved to be held when she was sleeping. She also always had to have her tiger blankey to sleep. As a teenager, she still has that blanket….she swears she doesn’t sleep with it….but I would be OK if she did. I remember waking up at night and she would be touching my face….like she needed to make sure I was there.

This story has made it all the way to Australia, and has sickened many mums to their very core. WTF is WRONG with people? Tiffany – you carried this little baby in your womb for 9 months, gave birth to him, you GAVE HIM LIFE … why WOULD YOU TAKE IT AWAY? It was your choice to have this baby. If you no longer wanted him, or could not care for him, there are other AVENUES that you could of taken. You need serious serious HELP. yikes, we were discussing in the forums all the possible reasons a kid could be buried in a playground. It boiled down to the simplest reason and most likely suspect. Mommy dearest wanted to show everybody how bad she could be after they kicked her out of the house.

I”m so glad they know who he is now. The drawing the police did was uncanny. He was so precious. Do you see the light that was in his eyes in that pic? I’m with Bugsmommy, I easily hate her as much as baby P’s egg donor.
If there is anyway for them to tell that she actually killed him, revived him and then killed him again, I want to be first in line to dole out punishment.
And i’m with everyone else, if you can actually kill your child, I never question how they can just walk away. It’s too easy for them to do it.
I want her to die. In the most horrible and painful ways imaginable.

If what I read is correct, then she’s a product of her own upbringing.
I’m so sick of hearing how people would have LOVED to take this kid, when so many around her were aware of her neglect of this little boy. So instead of raising him and not caring if this low life was out partying, they kick BOTH of them out on the streets. Her mother included. Back a desperate person (or cold and unfeeling in this case) into a corner, what did you expect would happen?

They didn’t kick Ty out. Tiffany left when she was booted for the way she treated the boy, but came back the next day and took Ty with her. She returned later without him to collect her belongings and refuse to tell anyone where he was, because of course, he was already buried in that sandbox.

My first thought on seeing her was how crazy her eyes are..Upon futher inspection I see it is only one eye that looks crazy the other is almost normal.. I believe that TOO many people use the oh poor pitiful me I have a mental disorder as a cop out and excuse. An Albuquerque woman accused of smothering and burying her son tried to turn herself into police on a traffic warrant shortly before the boy’s death, her attorney said Wednesday.
The Albuquerque Police Department called the statement was an attempt to take the blame off their only suspect in Tyrus Toribio’s murder.
“Atrocious to say the very least and deplorable,” APD spokesman John Walsh said.
Toribio’s public defender Lee Hood stood next to her client in court Wednesday to face the traffic charge for a fine she had failed to pay last year.
“On Tuesday May 12 Ms. Toribio attempted to turn herself in at the Coronado Mall (police) substation with this warrant for failure to pay fines,” Hood told the judge.
But when police didn’t find the arrest warrant, Hood said the mother reached out for help.
“She had indicated that she had no where to go,” Walsh confirmed.
He said that’s when officers gave Toribio information on help for mothers and children in need, including services provided by churches and shelters.
But Walsh said she refused to take the assistance and left the police station with her son.
Early the next morning investigators said they believe she killed her son and buried him at a playground in Alvarado Park where they’d spent the night.
