Crystal, 20, also had a very busy life–college, soccer, socializing, boyfriend, etc. We parents know how difficult it can be to have a life away from our children, especially when they are so small and needy. got it all figured out. Instead of tucking her newborn into it’s bed at night and kissing it’s smooth little forehead, Crystal stuck her infant into a plastic container. Instead of that ‘new baby’ smell, Crystal’s infant has that lovely odor of decomposing flesh.

It was that ‘dead baby’ scent that led to the discovery of Crystal’s newborn child Tuesday evening. Crystal’s mother, the infant’s grandmother, after having smelled the foul odor for several days, found the decomposing child in some sort of plastic container, hidden underneath a shed. Investigators don’t know exactly how old the infant was, but stated that ‘the child was possibly just a few days old at the time of death.’ Though Crystal admitted to giving birth to the child, police aren’t sure when the baby was born or how long it had been under the shed. The baby is now at the M.E.’s office, awaiting autopsy and cause of death.
The picture you see above isn’t a mug shot–it’s from the women’s soccer roster at the Community College of Rhode Island. Crystal hasn’t been charged with a crime. She was questioned by police and released the same day…at this time, no charges are being filed. Wait…what? Even if she didn’t physically kill the child, and I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt here, she faces no charges for leaving the poor thing in a fucking plastic coffin? To rot? How the hell does that happen? I’ll be watching this one….

You have to be kidding, a few days old? Did she really think she would get away with hiding it in daddies shed? good grief. good thing she is dumb so she gets caught easily. During the trial she will realize what she should have done to properly dispose of a 3 day old. Hopefully she will have many years behind bars to think about it. Unless of course, there is a good
excuse for throwing a three day old away like so much trash.

Even if the child was stillborn the very least she should
face is improper disposal of a body. But no charges????????????
Who are the parents in this community? Are they well to do?
Me thinks had this been a “different” girl there would have already
been charges and alegations flying.

Once the autopsy report comes back, it is my guess that formal charges will be filled. She killed a baby, they won’t go easy on her just because she is pretty and comes from a great family.

I am just floored at all of these to be honest I looked like the broad side of a

I played soccer with Crystal for several years when we were younger and to see/hear her name on the news the other day blew my mind!
How can anyone do that to their baby? And from what I’ve heard, the parents never knew anything about this pregnancy. She doesn’t live at home but with her boyfriend, so he obviously must have known.
The fact that she was released after questioning is beyond me. As soon as we find out the autopsy results, she’ll get the punishment she deserves!

I’ll tell you how, I lived in this state for a few years. The laws are fucking ridiculous. Read the Projo and see what goes on in this place. Everyone gets suspended sentences for shit like DWI’s that result in death. On today’s front page you have an 18 year old who was driving drunk and killed a mother of two. He got 10 years, suspended of course, 10 years probation and 2 years house arrest. What the fuck is going on in Rhode Island?? The gene pool is too small and even the people who are supposed to be preventing this stuff have become effected by incest madness!! Un fucking believable!!

Hopefully police questioned the boyfriend with whom she lived, and they are awaiting autopsy results. I find it interesting she put NO under “Do You Drink” on her My Space, when clearly there are pictures of her drinking and notations about getting shit faced. I don’t think she is too bright, and stupidly hoped this situation would just go away once she buried the baby. Since she had other options, she gets no sympathy from me. This baby deserved so much better.
