Boston, Massachusetts–Christopher Mundell’s girlfriend made a late night food run, leaving her 2 1/2 year old daughter in his care. How long she was away from the apartment is unknown, but it was long enough to forever change the life of her little girl.

When the child’s mother returned to the apartment, she found Mundell asleep on the couch, covered in blood. She checked on the child and found her to be suffering from a stab wound to her upper thigh. That wasn’t the worst of it…while being examined and treated for the knife wound, doctors discovered the child had been raped. It was later discovered that Mundell had also lit the child’s blanket on fire.
Mundell, said to be highly intoxicated at the time of his arrest, pitched a fit in the middle of the booking process and relayed to officers that he was ‘going to find a gun and kill them all.’ Take it like a man, Mundell…you putrid little bitch. Christopher Mundell, 22, is charged with aggravated rape of a child, indecent assault and battery of a child, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, marijuana possession, and attempt to commit arson, among other charges. Bail was set at $250,000.

Okay… I’m not sure if the “time of his arrest” was immediately after she came home, but I don’t know why this woman thought it would be okay to leave the baby with an intoxicated man for a “late night food run.” Even if he wasn’t drunk before, with this incident it proves he is less than human, a sick fuck who deserves to die. I don’t think that behavior this extreme would have manifested without any other sign or symptom beforehand.
So while I can appreciate that at least the woman sought medical care, I still say she has a large part of the blame to shoulder too. As usual in these cases. *sigh*
I hope the baby heals very soon and will not remember this. And that CPS takes her away from her mother. She is unlikely to change the caliber of the penis she chooses to claim.

almost everytime I have had to make a late night run for fast food, It was because I was intoxicated. Given that I bet the mother was just as bad off as this punk. what was the sequence of events? he raped the toddler, cut her and then burned the blanket? was he thinking of a way to kill her?
The cut may have been to explain any blood from the rape. Ugh…

I’ve been reading and commenting on this site for well over a year now, and it still amazes me that commenters are willing to sidestep the horrors done to a child by a man and instead excoriate a mother who may have had no reason to believe that her child would be in any danger when left for some short period of time with a man with whom she’s involved. Understand, I know that any mother who is a member of this site would think twice about making a food run if it meant leaving her child/children with a man we would call “the penis”–but I suspect “we” are the minority. So, yeah, there’s a chance that Mommy deserves our scorn–but there’s no evidence of it. This article is about the toddler-raping Chris Mundell, and let’s remember that.

I totally agree Lizard. Chances are at 2 in the morning the baby was asleep and she was just out to get some Taco Bell.
What should be remembered is that as soon as she saw that her child was injured, her friend dialed 911 and she comforted her daughter. This baby raper was arrested immediately. That is more than alot of the mothers featured on this site do.
If every child that was victimized was taken away from their non-offending parents, we’d have alot more kids in foster care. Hindsight is always 20/20.

i could have thought in a few seconds after seeing my baby what i could have done to him before calling 911, tie him up in the sheet and take a good ole skillet and beat the living crap out of him, or a belt buckle or anything that would be heavy and hurt him badly, then when he isnt moving i would have untied him, made marks all over me as in defense wounds, tear my shirt yadayada, they would have called the coroner not put him in a mug shot, and self defense and protecting my child would have been my defense

The only thing I’d have to ask this mother, is how she kept herself from killing this sick fuck. Really, I’d have his junk in pickling jar with a fascinating story to go along with it. Other than that, she has my sympathies. As Lizard noted, we have no indication that this mother knowingly and willfully left her baby with a dangerous person. I’d like to know more myself like his track record and the who he is exactly in relation to the mother.
The mother quickly comforted and got help for her baby, as RA said, that is far more than a lot of bitches we read about here. I hope they crucify this fucker and with the threats he made to the police they just might make an example of him…..

My mom is a child psychologist. When I divorced my 1st husband and was suddenly a single mother, she would tell me to watch my back because “pedophiles are known to hunt down single mothers so they can get to their kids”. And when I married my childhood best friend(who of course she knew very well.) I don’t think I’d ever seen her happier. I remember reading years ago about a woman who had been seeing a “lovely, polite, Southern gentleman” who was a successful businessman, etc. One day, she came home to find him raping her son, having already done the same to the daughter. So, I know SOME of these pervs are very smart and conniving and that’s how they get to the kids.
But I don’t think this is the case here.
To missnoitall: I’m sorry for what your friend went through and I agree the attention should be on this scumbucket. But I also know that if that vacant eyed loser had such a bad history and your girlfriend knew about it then she is to blame for what happened also. In a much smaller manner, but yes, she’s to blame for putting her child in danger.
And before you start going off on me, yes I have children. 5 of them ranging from age 13 to an almost 3 year old. And I would kill and die and maim for them all. And I damn sure wouldn’t let a little sex get in the way of their safety or well being. No penis is THAT good.

This is true in many cases we read about here. On the other hand, it’s often obvious that the mother was neglectful. The mother also being charged is usually a hint, even if all the facts of the case aren’t made public. Certain people will condemn the mother no matter what.
What amazes me is when, in cases like this where the mother is not “obviously guilty,” people are so quick to advocate tossing the kid into the foster care system. They may not put it that way, but in many cases when you say “the mother should lose custody,” that means it’s foster care for you, kid! Sometimes, that may indeed be the best thing, but not ALWAYS.
It’s the absolutism that bothers me.

Im going to throw this out there at this point because chris is actually my cousin and i’ve known him since we were babies. In no way what he did will EVER change what has happened and its pretty upsetting for my family to go through such a shocker like this but what people never realized and taken into consideration was the abuse he took in his own personal life and how the only way he delt with it was to drink and a drug addiction “a troubled past is a troubled future” what I can’t stand is people who immediately say what a monster and it sickens me knowing that if he werent on heroin and intoxicated that night he would have never done that he has his own daughter and would kill anyone that ever tried to hurt her in the same way. I don’t justify what he has done but knowing him very well and the person that he is im discusted by his actions but saddend by them as well its hard to see a family member who you know with lots of help could have not been through this and as far as the mother goes I know her as well and sad to say she did not want to pursue the relationship and knew he had a rough past and in all intentions knew he had been unstable recently due to drugs addictions and had all knowledge so it is neglect as well as complete stupidity on her part but thats what happens when you do the same things as the bf and the rest of the crowd

Wow – This is the first time, since I’ve been here, that a friend or family member has sounded so resonable. Thank you. Thanks for the insight also. While I believe that he was drunk and / or on drugs – that is no excuse for his actions. There are drug addicts and drunks with severe addictions that NEVER rape children. His problems went deeper that addiction. I’m thinking there are some deep-rooted mental issues. Either way, he’s going to prison and hell. I’m sure of it.
As for the mother, she is paying the price for her actions nmow. Was has been done can never be undone. But it’s the baby that has payed the ultimate price. She will be the one that has to deal with this trauma for the rest of her life and he should have to pay for it.

Every single person – to a T – that has done shit like this has “something wrong” with them. Mental illness, drug abuse, prior abuse, whatever. It is not an excuse. The vast majority of mentally ill or addicts or abuse victims or whatever DO NOT rape and stab anyone… much less babies.
He did the crime and will now have to do the time. It’s sad that his family and friends have to go along for the ride.
I hope the mom’s “picker” gets some fine tuning out of this. It was obviously broken when she chose this asscowboy.
