Lowell, Massachusetts–While her 9-week-old baby was in the hospital being treated for a fractured arm, broken rib, injured spleen, and a possible brain bleed, the infant’s mother was on the phone with a friend. ‘He did it again,’ she said. He is Brian Ganley and he is being accused of breaking another one of his children.

Police were called to the home Ganley shares with his girlfriend on a report of a domestic assault. When they arrived at the home, they found Ganley outside of the apartment, walking away from the scene. His 9-week-old daughter was alone inside the home. She was lying on the couple’s bed, bleeding from a swollen upper lip. Her face was swollen and her stomach bruised. Ganley’s girlfriend told officers that she had left the baby alone with Ganley while she ran the child a bath. When she re-entered the room, she noticed blood coming from the infant’s mouth. She told police that when she asked Ganley what happened, he became enraged and began to choke her. She said he pushed her onto the couch and screamed, ‘You think I did something?’ In an attempt to diffuse the situation, the child’s mother told Ganley that she was going to take the child to the corner store…Ganley told her no, leave the kid on the bed. Mom took off down the street, called a friend first, then called the police. Hmmm…

If you revisit the first paragraph in this story, you will see that the mother alludes to the fact that this isn’t the first instance of abuse dished out by Ganley. The couple has 3 children…2 of those children were removed from the home on suspicion of abuse, and DCFS has now taken custody of the third. All three children have allegedly been abused by Ganley but no charges were ever filed due to lack of evidence. And mom just keeps on poppin’ those puppies out, knowing full well that her boyfriend is an abusive asshole. She told responding officers, this time, that Ganley had no patience with the baby’s cries…she feared that if she left the child alone with him, he would hurt her. Well, are you surprised you stupid cow? You didn’t figure that shit out with the first two kids?

Brian Ganley, 26, now faces charges of reckless endangerment of a child, assault and battery, and an upgraded charge of assault and battery on a child with substantial bodily injury. Let’s hope he doesn’t walk away scot-free this time.
