Unless Jury knows for a fact that the mother had threatened to take the children “back” to Mexico after the divorce, I don’t know what it is supposed to mean either…..

I am sick of these a$$holes myself. Remember Dena Schlosser, the mother of 3 that cut off her infants arms because God told her to and then to kill herself? Only she didn’t kill herself, just the baby. She got off on insanity and is out now.  If Rusty Yates was the one that drowned his 5 kids, I guarantee you that he wouldn’t be in a psych ward doing arts and crafts.  Baby killers ought not ever go free.

Something real, real bad. I cannot think of one thing that could cause a father to kill his innocent children that way. The baby wouldn’t know but the 6 year old died knowing her father was hurting her. Killing babies…..it’s beyond me.
I did not read anywhere that this man is a Mexican National. I read several sources and nothing is mentioned. It hardly matters though. This bastard deserves death and I hope he gets it by taking his own useless life. And to leave the mother barely alive only to grieve the loss of her babies. I’d kill  him myself.

I never mentioned it because I didn’t see anything written to that effect, but before going off on Jury for assuming that these people were from Mexico, I looked some more.
Turns out the mother showed up recently from Mexico and Esqueda had been in Corona since 2007.  I don’t see where he was before that.  I’m going to assume, judging by the age of the 6 year old they shared, that he was also from Mexico.
Even then, legal status has nothing to do with it.  This man is a murderer and he committed his crime here in the states where we have the death penalty.  And in all honesty, I am SICK of people saying something about going back to Mexico whenever they see a Hispanic surname.  It is completely disrespectful to the victims.  It’s almost like they are less than human and don’t deserve to be treated equally.  It’s plain ignorance.

I don’t know for a fact, but I was reading more about it online and it said they were Mexicans.  I have heard a lot about people offing their families due to no work, so I figured, they were probably going back home to no future.

Well, one of those girls was an American citizen, and I know you care about that. Obviously the six year old’s life wasn’t worth as much as her little sister, because she was born 100 miles farther south. But we should still hold him responsible for murdering one of our more valuable fellow citizens.

And, in the end, it really doesn’t matter. This awful crime was committed in the US. For what he did, the death penalty is too good for him, IMO. Not only is he a murderer, he murdered his own children. I would never disrespect him for his race, but I could disrespect him for the crime he has committed.

I agree. I can’t think of anything that is more selfish or cowardly. Suicide is for losers who are only thinking of number one, not what this act will do to their family and friends.

To be quite honest, you did not explain yourself initially, you just mentioned Mexico as if we all were privileged to that piece of info. Even Stella commented on it. So we did not run with the race card as you implied, we merely responded your comment. Which by the way, did not include your explanation.

I really have to take issue with this statement.  I would think only someone who hasn’t suffered from serious clinical depression could say this.  I have, though I never actually attempted suicide.  But I did think about it.  Seriously depressed people do not have the same thought processes as you do. They often truly believe that they would be doing their families a favor by killing themselves. Sounds crazy, but it’s true.
Now, in my opinion, murder-suicide is ENTIRELY different and is, without a doubt, the ultimate selfish act.  I fucking hate people who commit murder-suicides.  I can tell you one thing, when I was depressed I thought about killing myself at times while simultaneously feeling great anger for certain other people, but I never thought of actually killing them too!

To be quite honest with you, you were the one that said illegal, race, etc.  I never said that.  I said I read it online that he was from Mexico, how does that equate to illegal, race…etc.  I did not know till later that all those coments came out to justify it.
