Fargo, North Dakota–In November 2005, Matthew Zobach was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 5 years supervised probation after being convicted on charges of felony child endangerment. Earlier that year, Zobach’s 2-month-old daughter was brought to an emergency room with a laceration to her throat and a fractured right femur and left rib. Zobach admitted to causing the injuries–he forced a plastic syringe into the back of the baby’s mouth to administer medication–he wrapped his hands around her torso and squeezed, in an attempt to alleviate a constipation problem–in a fit of frustration, he forcibly pulled her right leg to try to put it into a snowsuit. The terms of his probation required that he have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16. Hmmm…wonder why he’s gracing the front page?

Fast forward to present day. Zobach, 32, is being accused of breaking another one of his children. He is facing new charges after his 11-month-old daughter was found to be suffering multiple traumatic injuries. She has five or six rib fractures that were healing, a possible right forearm fracture, a tibial fracture and retinal hemorrhages. She was also found to have two subdural hematomas, both inflicted at different times, and two cerebral contusions. Zobach’s explanation? The baby bruised her head when she was fussing…she jerked her head and bonked it on the changing table. Oh, and she also bumped her head on his chin.
Where was mom in all of this, you ask? I’m kinda wondering if she is blind and stupid. Ok, she’s not blind–she noticed the baby’s neck was bruised about 10 days before she was brought to the emergency room–mom thought that was due to the infant’s ‘head bobbing.’ She also noticed bruises on the baby’s upper arms, but thought that was caused by the car seat. She was fully aware of Zobach’s probation conditions and told police that the previous abuse case involved broken bones and was ‘just like this.’ So, she must be stupid, right? And, why the hell wasn’t she arrested as well? Matthew Zobach was arrested on the new charges. If convicted, he could spend up to 10 years in jail.

What’s with this woman? She keeps having children with the baby breaking bastard? Hopefully the Fargo PD can find charges that will stick to her or become the first place to use her extreme stupidity as a prosecutable offense.
And for the dirtbag, only 10 years? Hopefully he’ll get the full 10 and his sweet cellmate will demonstrate a couple of different ways to lacerate a throat while squeezing his mid-section tight enough to break some ribs…make sure his 10 years are fun-filled and he becomes a never-ending source of amusement. Just a suggestion…

I guess I’ll never get why a mother doesn’t immediately ask for answers after ONE unexplained bruise on an infant that young. Who wants to take bets that IF she is brought up on charges for not protecting the child, she’ll claim she as abused too and was afraid of him.
Personally, I would die protecting my children. There is no penis that good.

“Zobach said he was having trouble getting the baby to burp. When she did, she spit up and vomited on his shirt. As he changed her, he noticed the child was not breathing.”
He forgot to add the part that he beat her after vomiting and before trying to change her. That syringe part makes me so angry, I’d be inclined to take his junk off so he can never breed again. Like Jury, who the fuck would have sex with that?
He should be beat mercilessly and the life near squeezed out of him. Sick bastards like this just need to stop breathing.

I just don’t get how people that abuse their kids can keep them and the ones that don’t (are just poor or down and out) get theirs taken away all of the time. This sick bastard hopefully will get his in prison. As for the woman who birthed these kids (notice I said birthed because she sure the hell is not a Mother in my eyes) she should be arrested also.

I know this Piece of Shit’s family. Some of what has been said so far is a little misleading. The children he has abused are with different women. in 2005 he was found guilty of abusing his infant twins. Signed over parental rights and has not seen those girls since- thankfully. Each of those twins had multiple fractures.
He did his far too lenient jail sentance- and got into a relationship with a new woman. She eventually found out his past- but decided she wanted to have children with him anyways- why?? who knows. So she gets pregnant, and they have this daughter. And its sad byt not surprising that he abused this child as well. And this baby is not 11 months old- she was born in January.
And the mother of this baby?? Yea, she is a licensed nurse- she should have known better than to accept his explanation of the bruises. She knew his history. He is an idiot asshole child abuser, and she is an absolute moron.
