Bartow, Florida–I bring to you, today, a trio of Floridiots. Please meet Gail Buckner, 38, Sharon Cooper, 54, and Alexander Quintasket, 19. Thanks to them, Deputy Sheriff Charles “Clip” Buckner III, a veteran officer of 21 years, was forced to resign from his position on the force. Why? Because his wife, Gail Buckner, thought it would be fun to take Clip’s cruiser out for a joyride.

morning to report that a marked sheriff’s car was driving erratically with emergency lights and siren activated. There were two women in the front seat and a teen in the back. None were in uniform. An officer on a traffic stop saw the car approach him, then make a u-turn. He gave chase and followed the cruiser right up to Clip’s driveway. InsideInside reviews
the car with the joyriders was a sheriff’s issued .40 Glock, a 12-gauge Remington shotgun and the deputy’s personal .390 Walther PPK pistol. When interviewed, Gail’s mother, Clip’s mother-in-law, Sharon Cooper, told officers her daughter wanted to take her for a ride in the patrol car because she has a terminal illness. Yeah, a ride in a police car would totally be my dying wish.
Gail and Sharon were charged with vehicle theft, theft of a firearm and impersonating a law enforcement officer. Gail was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon–she had a prior arrest in the county under her maiden name. Quintasket was charged with grand theft, impersonating a law enforcement officer, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm or concealed weapon by a convicted felon and resisting an officer without violence (for giving a false name). He lied about his name because he is currently out of jail on bond for armed robbery, and knows if he goes back to jail, he won’t be bonding out.

People this far back in the backwoods of North FL seem to think this kind of crap is “cool”…
These are the same ones in lowrider cars that have nasty looking paint jobs and hubcap covers that look like the expensive rims and a bad stereo system with huge speakers that drain the headlights, etc…

I know he is ultimately responsible for the car, gear, weapon, etc, but dang! Guess he should’ve kept better company that these yee-haws- You are who you associate with!

How can you be a resident of Florida and not know about the wonders of sunscreen? Gail looks like a tourist who fell asleep on the beach. Mom* looks like she’s been cryin’ or has a snoot-full (she’s probably bummed that she didn’t have time to draw in her sharpie eyebrows for the mugshot.) As for the kid, looks like a typical punk-ass loser.
Clip, ol’ boy, you didn’t do so great in the wife-picking department. However, I don’t understand how his wife’s criminal activity should result in HIS forced resignation. Did he break some law? A moral code? This doesn’t seem quite right to me.
* I’m not great at math, but wouldn’t their ages mean that mommy Sharon gave birth at the tender age of 16?

I personally know Gail Buckner and this is completely in character for her. She does stupid and reckless stuff like this everyday. Shes been on drugs for as long as I’ve known her and tested positive for them while she was pregnant with twins. She now doesn’t have custody of them. I think the saddest part of all of this is that Gail still feels like the victim in all of this. I mean lets completely forget that her husband has to quit his job of 21 years and her children are in and out of a courtroom and doctors to repair the damage to them by her drug use .
