State police have questioned a man about the gun he brought to a family-run business where his mother, sister and aunt were found shot to death.
Investigators obtained a blood sample from Kevin Murphy, 49, to compare his DNA against evidence found on a handgun, blood and other items inside Ferguson Glass, Trooper John Zalich said in an application for a warrant.
Troopers seized Murphy’s shoes, socks, pants, shirt, coat, hat and gloves to test against a handgun found after the shootings Thursday inside the business. …
The women were found in a garage bay “with blood all over the place,” according to the affidavit. …
Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck said Kevin Murphy was taken to Excela Westmoreland Hospital for observation on Thursday and was later released.
“He was never in custody,” Peck said.

really? you want to know why they thought it was carbon monoxide.. it’s because the don’t think. I don’t  live that far from where that happened. I live in the saltsburg area. It’s not that hard to figure out it wasn’t carbon monoxide when you have to choppers flying around. Does that make any sense to have choppers for that? really think about it..it’s common sense. Also since it was execuition style how could whoever it was make it look like an accident. Another thing is quit jumping to conclusions and thinking it was kevin when they are just looking into him as a suspect..that does not mean he did it. can you  comprehend that? whoever it was is still free and it probably will go unsolved like steve k. from 2005…don’t be surprised if thats how it goes so before being stupid and saying this, try to get the information right and don’t believe everything you read or hear.

What do you think happened? Any ideas? And who is the Steve K you refer to who was killed in 2005? I have tried googling, but with the very limited information I cannot determine which deceased Steve K you are thinking of. Do you have a geographical site of the killing?

I  never said that kevin was my friend, but i hope that i am right as well.
Personally i believe that someone has it out for the murphy family, or has something against kevin.  For all anyone knows, it could have been a way to get his attention..no matter how morbid what they did was. and yes i know that he took a gun to work on wednesday but as far as him committing the crime i don’t believe so. He said that only his mom and sister knew where it was hid but that may not be true. there was a man that worked there that isnt related to the family. and if someone wants to hurt another human than its not that hard to tear the place upside down and look for it.   the steven k that im thinking of is the man that got shot during the 2005 hunting season, and there is still a reward for the capture of the one who did that. which killing are you refering to? ferguson’s or the other one?
