Aimee Michael Charged in Death of Family

Atlanta, Georgia – Aimee Michael, 22, was charged with five counts of homicide by vehicle, one count of failure to maintain lane and one count of serious injury by vehicle, and hit and run. She was the driver of the BMW police have been looking for in connection with the Easter crash that claimed the lives of 5 people. Robert and Delisia Carter, as well as the couple’s newborn son, Ethan Blake, and Delisia Carter’s 9-year-old daughter, Kayla, died in their Mercedes after striking a Volkswagen driven by 43-year-old Tracy Johnson who survived the crash that killed her 6-year-old daughter, Morgan.

Aimee Michael and Carter Family

A SWAT team was used to gain access to the home in which the BMW was parked in the driveway. They surrounded the home but found no one home. At the same time a neighbor stated she saw Aimee and two other women pull into the neighborhood in an SUV, but U-turn at the site of police. They eventually returned to the home where they were apprehended and taken to the Fulton County police major crimes unit.

The accident, from what I can gather from other reports and the charges filed, seemed to involve Aimee and the Carters’ Mercedes colliding on Camp Creek Parkway. Both vehicles then crossed a median, where the Mercedes hit the Johnson’s Volkswagen head-on and burst into flames. Aimee left the scene.

Wow. This has me wondering if she told her friends the reason why the police wanted her ass. I wonder if she did and how long they knew about it.

What kills me about this is the fact that Aimee was the only able-bodied person on the scene who could have helped the injured. The Carter’s burned up in their car. They may have all been dead on impact, I don’t know…I hope so.  But the driver of the Volkswagen didn’t die so there is the horrible chance that some of the Carter’s may have been alive just incapacitated.

That is messed up. Her mugshot alone makes you want to slap her. It’s like she’s saying, “What did you expect?” I hope the Carters didn’t die like that either. This is such a sad tragedy. All those innocent lives lost because of her.

Jesus, what a beautiful family. And this bitch looks entirely unconcerned. And yes, Morbid, let’s hope that they died upon impact. I don’t even want to think about the alternative.

Her family knew and did nothing about it….

Police said instead of stopping, Michael drove her wrecked BMW back home and parked it in the garage.

She told her family she had a headache and went to her room.

For two days, the BMW sat in the garage.

Michael’s mother and grandmother told police they don’t enter the house through the garage, so they didn’t realize it was wrecked until two days after the wreck.

Police said that’s when Michael broke down and told her family what happened.

At that point, investigators say, the family did not go to police.

Her mother and grandmother apparently knew about Michael’s involvement for at least eight days, but did not come forward.

Instead, someone from the family had the car repaired.

Police won’t say yet whether they’re going after the mechanic or Michael’s mother and grandmother.

ok,look..they shouldn’t have fixed the car&she definitely shouldn’t have left the scene in the first place but you ppl have no idea. I mean, yea, she did this and it was a horrific thing&she could have handled it WAY BETTER by simply not leaving but as for her mother..ALL of you know good and well, that if it had been YOUR BABY, 22years old or not..you would do nearly anything to try and protect them, and deep down, you all know it..no matter how bad it was. So, dont be saying crap like..it shows what type of family she was raised in..it doesnt show anything except for her MOMMA trying to protect her daughter, which MOST parents would have done anyways. What she did was wrong and it was horrific but it doesnt mean that she is this TERRIBLE, MALICIOUS person. NONE of you even have the right to judge her AT ALL, because no matter what she did, none of you know her she was SCARED yawl! who the heck wouldnt be? Im not condoning what she did, because it was definitely WRONG but i just recently found out today that she is actually my boyfriend’s cousin and oh my gosh WOW, guess what? She’s actually..NOT a terrible person AT ALL and btw, they said she tried to confess SEVERAL times but just couldnt do it because she was TERRIFIED and of course she was distraught just knowing that she had killed all those people. Lord people, and YES she did and DOES care! And now, she has to and WILL pay for the terrible tragedy that occurred and the mistake that she made by first off leaving, and then never turning herself in.

i have to disagree with you Jessie, if my daughter was involved in an accident that claimed the lives of the occupants of the other vehicle, then fled the scene,  you can bet your ass i’d have turned her in, if i knew about it.
Don’t get me wrong, i love my kid, but wrong is wrong. if her actions caused another to be harmed,  i’d make her turn herself in.. if she refused, i’d call the police on her myself.  it is how my mom raised me, and it is how i raised her.
personally, i don’t think she’d flee the scene, she’s smart enough and strong enough to take her lumps, no matter how bad they might be. btw, mine is 22, going on 23.

If one of my offspring were to plow into someone, killing an entire family and a part of another, you’re goddamn right I’d have their ass at the PD in a heartbeat. I don’t know how it works in your family, but I have always taught my children to be responsible for their actions….good or bad.

And, speaking of being TERRIFIED, imagine how terrifying it would be to be burned alive.

“Terrified.” Of course she was terrified–she thought she might actually be held accountable for what she had done.

That’s one fucking lame-ass excuse there, jessie.

Just curious – do you believe in karma, jesse?  Like you type all this bullshit that everyone would aid and abet if it was their daughter that killed a family and ran and then maybe a house drops on you and all we can see is your curly witch shoes shrivelling?  Or maybe right after typing amoral nonsense, you become trapped @ your computer during a raging house fire and screeeeeaaaaaaaaam and screeeeeaaaam for help as you sizzle and burn, typing frantically for help and we all get up from our Demon chairs and leave you to flambe?

Karma, would indeed, be a bitch.

It is a travesty that there is no known way to smack the shit out of someone via the internet.  This would come in quite handy every time some dumbass comes on here and tells us we have “no right” to judge whoever is accused….I believe it was MedeaBecBec on another thread who pointed out that by this logic, the fucking JURY doesn’t have a right to “judge.”
    Spare me, enablers.

Jessie , you are an idiot.  The mother and grandma and everybody that knew about it needs to be charged including your boyfriend and you too if you knew!  The same people that sit up in church every sunday and shout Lord, Lord , are the same people who when it comes time, can’t even make Godly decisions.  They only care about their asses.  Guess what that mother who is still alive and lost her six year old dauthter, she was leaving her friends house who is friends with my brother.  And her friend told my brother the the woman heard her six year old daughter scream and then she woke up to look in the back seat and did not see her daughter.  Her daughter, her beautiful baby had been severed in two pieces!!  Her father was following behind and witnessed the whole thing. I know the Lord will pass his judgment but that bitch showed her true character when she left the scene.  I would turn in my own mammy if I knew she had committed a crime.

Jessie, being scared is no justification.

When I was 22, I hit a pedestrian crossing the road at 2:00am. He came up over my hood, his head smashing my windshield, sending shrapnel-sized pieces of glass exploding into the car. I immediately stopped the car, jumped out and went to check on him. I thought I had killed him. His body was lying by the curb in the most unnatural of positions, blood leaking from a gash in his forehead and from his mouth, presumably from some sort of internal bleeding. It was the most traumatic thing I had been through. “Terrified” doesn’t begin to explain. I could have jumped back into my car and taken off right then and there – only one person had seen me, and they weren’t close enough to identify me. But it didn’t even cross my mind, because I am a truly good person, not a person who simply acts good until he or she is tested.

Fuck yes, I can judge. I don’t have to know her. Her actions speak loud enough.

Exactly.  Furthermore, I don’t give two shits if someone is “frightened” of being held responsible for their own actions.  Cry me a fucking river on that one!

And thanks for sharing your personal story, Athena.  I can’t imagine how traumatizing that was, yet you didn’t run away.  As you said, it didn’t even cross your mind.  That speaks volumes IMO.  And it ain’t saying anything good about poor, “terrified” Aimee Michael.

Awww Nawww!! Aimees mother was influencing wee ones and  future generations with her reasoning skills, dadgummitt!!!
Aimees father is a military contractor, well, I believe there’s money in that, I hope Mr. Michael has a big ol’ fat pension he’s worked real hard for and has to give it to the victims families….. Yep Yep!!
I hope the LE has already done a hair follicle test on Aimee!!

Seems that Aimee Michael has had a bad driving record for some time now. I read where she had more than several speeding tickets and has run a stop sign. She could have killed a lot of people way before now. I wonder if she is on drugs. She looks as though she could be. She and her low down mother needs to be given the maximum punishment for these crimes. I feel so sad when I think of those babies that did not get  a chance to live (In this system) I think Aimee and mom are less than dirt and I hate the pitcure of this ruthless idiot who killed innocent people and she lives! Innocent people because of a nut on the road. I feel no symphathy for this lady nor for her disgusting mom, my sympathy goes out to the family of the victims and them only.

Speaking of, she has bonded out of jail. Michael, who posted a $150,000 bond, must now remain under 24-hour house arrest and wear an ankle monitoring bracelet. She said she drove home after the accident, parked the  BMW in the garage and didn’t tell anyone about the wreck for two days, before confiding in her mother.

Jessie is an immoral fool. The Aimee Michael story has bothered me from the start even before I found out all the particulars. This is just wrong all the way  around. First, she is a habitual violator. Second, she caused this huge accident and left the scene. Third, her friends did nothing to try to get her to come forward. Fourth, after she heard about the death and destruction she caused she still did nothing. Fifth, her mom and grandmother covered for her and planned to send her to college and act as if they were none the wiser. (I wonder if they informed her dad.) Oh, the list goes on and on. I pray that this girl, and her mother suffer dire consequences. And the grandmother, and her friends and all that were privy to the information and said nothing too. But the prosecutors most likely will not reach that far. Shame! Shame!
