Oh! He meant to “harm” his step-father, Justin stabbed Jason five to seven times! I believe you meant to write “kill” instead of “harm”, and you may be right about Justin not actually wanting to do the murder, only wanting to do mom-from-hell’s bidding!

How on earth do they suppress the medical examiner’s report?
I’ve heard of statements being thrown out or suppressed for various reasons, hear-say, not properly cautioned, etc.; but surely the medical examiners report is by definition objective and unbiased?

Kids have gone as far as murder to gain the approval (if not love) of a parent. This boy wanted to be a part of his mother’s life, he craved his mother’s love and approval. I think a part of him was actually happy to kill the man; he was a person closer to his mother and had her affection… with him out of the way, it would be just him and his mother.
This boy’s life is ruined; there is no way back for him that I can see. Maybe when he’s an old man with no children, grandchildren or a loving wife to call “family”, it will be too late to realize the evil of it all.

What really disgusts me about this is that this worthless piece of shit “mother” obviously failed her son repeatedly as a child, hence him being in foster care. So when this lovely woman decided she wanted her husband dead, who better to carry out the dirty deed than her impressionable, broken 16-year-old son who desperately wanted her approval? Why, that way, she wouldn’t even have to pay a hitman! She could just manipulate the kid into doing it instead.
I’m glad she finally found the kid useful enough to acknowledge.
STUPID FUCKING CUNT.
Now, I am NOT excusing the kid’s actions at all, as he has free will and is (should be, at least) old enough to know better, but I think the real villian in this story is the souless piece of human feces he calls a mother. Absolutely vile on so many levels.

Veronica, Like with the Micheal and Teven Collins case, they may be 16 age wise but I suspect emotionally and maturity wise this teen and Teven are even younger. Looking for an adult they think loves them.. and perfect fodder for manipulation

I am one of the persons, who have, on behalf of the state, tried to parent and provide this most-beloved youth the guidance and the services needed to give him the opportunity to rise above his circumstance, and change the cycle of hell, brought to him and his siblings, courtesy of his mother, Susan Pinkerton.  Folks, I am going to ask something, that you stop for a moment and consider, walking in his shoes just for a moment and see if you, can’t find an iota of compassion for this child? In his early years, you would find that he had a father, who tried drowning him in the bath tub. You’ll find that in this warm and nurturing environment, this child, along with his sister, a little a year and some months older, had to raise each other, and their much younger sibling, while mom feigned illness, needing bed rest.  The the truth was, she was selling her body, making almost $635. per day, while her then paramour worked his butt off to raise them, and
support his family. She would hide them in the closet, beat them with hangers, and keep them locked up so that she can go ahead and take care of business, while these children went on about raising her kids. Yes, you judges of humanity, while you were being protected, nourished, and loved by the folks who recognized their responsibility, went about and did so, and parented you.
This darling mother went on to continue beating and neglecting her children. She has a public face and then she had her private, heartless, selfish and gutless. When her children were removed from her, they were removed from neglect and abuse, and in imminent danger of being harmed. This boy and his sister were to be adopted by their cousin, a sheriff deputy and his wife. The horrors these children witnessed and had to participate, requires that we restrain and have some pause.  The sister walked into a local police station and brought with her the tapes bearing witness to the vileness of our collective inhumanity. Needless to say, the children’s experience in foster care, both here in Florida, and in the other state, leaves much to be desired, but everything was done to minimize the harm.  Back in 2007, after a year of clandestine meetings with the father, half-brother and the protector of this family unit, the brother’s guardian, the Dependency Court
was given the the information to help it decide that it was in this youth’s best interest that he be placed with his “family.”  The court approved it, and Justin was on his way to becoming the young man he truly is, focused and cleaned up.  Then, it was discovered that the divine mother had a “Christian Web-Site” dedicated to the values of motherhood, and social interaction.  However, she included on this site, a web page, dedicated to her son, and giving him the necessary information for him to find her.  It was a challenge, but an injunction was filed, asking her to desist from making  any further contact with Justin, as she did everything in her power to undermine the relationship with his “new and improved family.”  This family did everything in their power to advocate for his needs, and provided him the love and the support he needed, and cherished.  The one thing he wanted for so many years, as he was given the opportunity to have a visit
with his
sister, who he had not seen in over four years. This was paid for and provided by this worker, and the sister’s foster mother. Well, being a teenager, and a kid just sprouting wings, he was given clearly defined guidelines to keep him from falling prey to his own devices, and those of his his mommy dearest. Justin made the choice to listen to her, and the added influence of a 28 year old man, he called his “friend,” told his caregivers that he choose to have this man, and the other friendships he made while he was hanging out with them in the local parks. Yes, Mrs. Susan Pinkerton had influenced and poisoned the mind of her son, and was so effective, he left the protection, which was the best he ever had, and surrendered to his lesser values. 
Soon after, he ran off, and was recovered in the home of another gem of a mother f….r, living and sleeping with her underage daughter.  He was recovered, and during this time provided information given to him by the girl he was living with, which caused an innocent foster boy, freed from prison, for a rape that never happened. The runaway episodes continued and he had exhausted all foster care placement. The communication between Susan and her son continued even though the injunction was still in place. Soon after, Justin was taken to Tampa, where he was reported missing, as he went to school, and never returned. Susan went and picked him up, and transported him across county lines, and brought him back to Ft Myers, where she lived with her new husband, Jason, the victim of this stabbing. She, according to him, and supported by evidence now in police custody, encouraged him time and again to do this wicked thing.  Yes, Justin was now the “man of the
house,” and he was to protect his fragile, and oh so victimized mother from the abuses of Jason, who she claimed tried to suffocate her the night before, while Justin slept.  He slept because of the medication, not prescribed to him, but to her, and she provided. Yeah, convenient isn’t it?  While he sat and contemplated whether he was a “killer” or not, she called and reassuring him of her love, gave her final approval, and made sure he performed his duty as “rescuer.”
So, now good people, take your now sweaty feet out of his shoes, and try getting your balance back, and when you feel confident that you have, look at a picture of your mother, and your family, and tell me, honestly, if you would not have done the same, or even worse to win the love and approval of this apparition of his past, a mother this boy searched for oh so long. Let the righteous justice lead your heart and pray for him, and his siblings, as well as, the victim of this terrible crime.
