around 3 a.m., a drunk Brandon Edwards drove to the home of a 13-year old boy and let himself in. Once inside, he went to the boy’s bedroom and slipped into bed with him. He then began to fondle the boy’s buttocks under his clothes.
The boy woke up, looked at Edwards and shoved his hand away. He told Edwards, “Quit touching me! I ain’t into that gay shit!” A minute later, Edwards repeated the process and again the boy shoved his hand away. The determined Edwards touched the boy again, only this time he also stuck a finger in the boy’s buttocks.This time, the boy had enough of Edwards touching and told him to stop or he’d tell his mother. Two unknown witnesses were in the home when the incident took place. They say they heard the boy’s demands for Edwards to stop touching him.
The following morning, the brave boy confronted Edwards about the incident. Edwards, being the sick asshole that he is, punched the 13-year old child in the face. When the police arrived, they found the boy’s nose broken and bleeding. Edwards admitted to detectives he sexually fondled the boy, but said he “sleeps wild” and must have “accidentally” touched the boy’s buttocks. He also admitted to “accidentally” touching the boy’s rectum, but denied doing it on purpose. Brandon Travon Edwards, 22, was arrested and charged with sexual battery with a $75,000 bail bond.
The following day the boy’s 9-year old brother came forward saying he had been in the room when the incident occurred and Edwards had also touched him inappropriately. The boys told detectives their mother had gone out of town and left them in the care of her roommate, but Edwards’ relationship to the roommate or the kids is unknown. My BS detector is telling me the roommate was one of the previous “unknown” witnesses who heard the 13-year old tell this piece-of-shit to leave him alone. If so, I would like to see some charges brought against that dumb ass also. Detectives charged Edwards with lewd and lascivious molestation stemming from the second child’s claims and his bond was raised to $300,000.
Edwards, who is a former Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy, has had sexual misconduct allegations brought against him by a minor before. In 2007, a girl under the age of 12 reported to Bradenton police that Edwards had molested her in her bedroom. Edwards denied the accusations, but later admitted to detectives he may have “accidentally” touched the girl. Edwards was never arrested as prosecutors declined to pursue the case. Sheriff’s officials began an internal affairs investigation into Edwards, who had been working as a deputy in the sheriff’s telephone reporting unit for three months. He was given a polygraph test. Edwards failed the test and was later fired for lying to Bradenton police during their criminal investigation.
After being fired from the sheriff’s office, Edwards took a job at MATS Halfway House in Bradenton, a Department of Juvenile Justice treatment center for committed juveniles between the ages of 13 and 18. After MATS, Edwards was hired in March by Manatee Glens, a local mental health facility, also as a support technician in an adult mental health wing. Manatee Glens is doing a full review of staff and patient contacts with Edwards in light of his arrest on sex allegations. He will also not be scheduled for shifts until his legal issues are resolved.

“Accidentally”?!? How the fuck do you accidentally molest not one, not two, but three(and possibly more) kids?!? This piece of shit needs to be put away for a LOOOONG time. I hope those kids recieve the help and therapy they’re obviously gonna need.

I can understand the “accidentally” touching. Honestly, it’s why my husband will not let me bring my daughter to bed with us. If she needs to sleep w her mommy, cuz of bad dreams or whatever, I sleep with her in the guest room. He has a problem with night time roaming hands. He never realized it until I started complaining to him about keeping me up at night with his damn groping. He doesn’t want to have our daughter in bed just in case he gets a case of the “roaming hands” while she’s there.
What I don’t understand, is exactly why he crawled into bed with children. There’s no reason at all for that, except he’s a damn pedo deuchebag.
Everyone in that house, that heard the boy telling him to stop should be charged. You let me hear any kid in my household tell an adult to stop touching them, and see if the fucker is still conscious when the cops get there to haul em to jail.

He never should have been in that bed or in that room. With the previous charges, why was he even in that house? “He did it to others, but he would never do it to my children.”

Like I said when I posted this story, no way are these three kids the only ones he “accidently” touched. God knows the ball being dropped and him having continued access to kids or vunerable adults, these guys never stop.
And once again, we have people that heard but did NOTHING. There seriously needs to be a law passed for not doing anything when you know abuse is going on and you ignore it.

Yes. If you heard that from a nearby bed, you had no business staying in your bed. No business whatsoever.
Amazed that they will admit to it; but at least they aren’t denying that they heard it to stay out of trouble or keep the nasty molester out of trouble. In fact, the fact that there is a witness will make it easier to prosecute, so perhaps they can redeem themselves a bit.

Actually, as I pointed out before “accidentally” could be a plausible excuse for some ppl, like my husband, he’ll grope anything laying next to him while he’s asleep (yes, I’ve come in after he’s out and found him snuggling and stroking my pillow, but I didn’t say that k). He however, takes precaution by not sleeping in the same bed as children (or anybody else, cuz I’d have his ass lol)
This fuck is a sick bastard though, I don’t have a single doubt that he knew what he was doing. Namely because well, a) he’s got past victims, and there was nothing to insinuate he was asleep then b) he didn’t jump out of bed screaming “OH MY GOD I’M SO SORRY when the kid told him to stop and finally c) what the hell was he doing crawling into bed with a 13 yr old boy?

This fucker may have been drunk but he wasnt that drunk to be able to go directly to the home of a 13 y/o boy and crawl into bed with him. BS he was sleeping and didnt know WTF was going on! He knew exactly what he was doing. Sick fuck.
And who the hell just ignores someone, much less a kid that should be sleeping alone anyway, who is telling someone else to STOP??? What kind of fking household is this??? Whoever was supposed to be in charge of the kids should be held accountable, even if they cant charge them with anything a little police intimidation can mess up his/her life a little bit.

I smell a big fat police cover up…. except he didnt stop molesting kids he kept doing it! How this guy was a sheriffs deputy is beyond me. I think it is VERY convenient they did not press charges for first incident, KNOWING that he failed the polygraph test.
And who leaves a 22 yr old in bed with a 13 yr old? What kind of roomate does that? I mean doesnt anyone have a problem with that? I surely didnt roll around with 13 and 9 yr olds when i was 22. That guy is nothing but a pedophile and how he was allowed to be in charge of juveniles and anyone in any healthcare kind of setting is just disgusting. HOW can they say they will even keep him on staff after this? Amazing!

I too would love to see the pos who HEARD A CHILD IN THEIR CARE being molested and did nothing (SCUM) brought to justice as an accomplice to a molestation and failure to intervene and something along the lines of “best hope you don’t need us to keep someone off of you when he’s your cellmate.

Just playing devil’s advocate here but perhaps the roommate was sound asleep? It was 3 am after all, right? I won’t wake up for anything short of a nuclear war once i’m out… Now if the kid was screaming at the top of his lungs or they were in the same room as the roommate, that’s another story.
