KATY, Texas – A 12-year-old girl waited for her father to go to bed, then took a gun and shot him in the back of the head. This incident occurred after an argument between the two. She has been transferred to Harris County Juvenile Detention Center and initially charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Mark A. Ada, Oklahoma–Daniel Whelchel’s grandma has been taking care of him for 18 long years. Mona Whelchel told authorities that she had a strange feeling that, at some point, her grandson was going to try and kill her. Talk about a woman’s intuition–Daniel did just that. Ladson, South Carolina–A 6-week-old child was brought into the emergency room at Trident Medical Center last Thursday, suffering severe second-degree burns to his hands and left foot. Hospital officials called authorities and later transported the baby to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, where he remains today. The party responsible for the burns? Mom’s boyfriend, 20-year-old Alexander Perry.

Las Vegas, NV- Being a parent, I am fully aware that my kids will have disagreements and  probably get into a few fights with other kids at their school. It’s all part of growing up and learning how to deal with others you dislike and/or those who dislike you. What’s sad about this story is that these two grown adults, who should know have known better, drove their kid to a fight and then whacked one of the kids with a crowbar when it was getting out of hand. How do you teach your child to defend themselves against kids who have idiots for parents?

While the specifics vary from state to state, the bottom line is this–if you don’t want your baby, there are options available. In the state of New York, parents may, up until the baby is five days old, ‘anonymously and safely leave their infant in the care of a responsible person at a hospital, police station, fire station or a responsible person at another safe location.’ It is so simple–relinquish your infant and walk away–no harm, no foul. Chicago, Illinois–Gustavo Torres-Medel called his girlfriend at work Monday morning and told her she’d better get home, ’something disgraceful had happened.’ Disgraceful isn’t quite the word I would use, but whatever. TRENTON, Florida – 911 received a phone call at 5:30 am Monday morning in regards to a young girl not breathing. By time medical personnel arrived at the trailer of Matthew Roland and his girlfriend, Chelci Folds, Matthew’s 4-year-old daughter was already dead. Matthew has now been arrested and facing charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. The abuse the girl endured are heinous enough, but now it is reporting she would have survived them had she received quicker medical attention. [Read more...]

Vero Beach, Florida–Her neighbors called her ‘Crazy Lady.’ She could be seen, standing in her yard or in the middle of the street, preaching to no one. Just a couple of months ago, Josephine Gatchell was arrested at the Holy Cross Church for stealing a communion wafer and damaging a statue. UPDATE -Police are questioning 20-year-old Peter Brozowitz. He has become a “person of interest” say authorities investigating the case. He has retained an attorney and was refusing to talk. There has also been a possible sighting of Britannee on a bus.

Brittanee Marie Drexel, 17, of Rochester, NY traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC without her mother’s permission, to stay with some older friends. She has not been heard from since SaturdaySaturday reviews. Her mother, Dawn Drexel, along with friends and family were in Myrtle Beach handing out flyers hoping they can get some more information on her whereabouts. Police say they have filed a missing person’s report, and her information has been entered into National Crime Center computer.
