Jennifer Lytton
Statesville, NC–Worthless: adj. 1. Lacking worth; of no use or value. 2. Low; despicable. That about sums up 26-year-old Jennifer Lytton. I don’t even know where to begin with this tard…she’s either extremely stupid or extremely lazy. She couldn’t be bothered to find an ashtray, so she put her cigarette out on her child’s nose.
When Lytton’s 5-year-old daughter showed up at school with a circular burn mark on her nose, her teacher knew that couldn’t be good. When she asked the child what happened, the girl informed her that her mother put a lit cigarette out on her nose. DSS was contacted.
When confronted about the child’s injury, Lytton denied burning the child; she said a DSS caseworker burned the kid. Now, the cops get involved.
Authorities attempted to serve an assault warrant on Lytton Tuesday morning; she was nowhere to be found. When an officer returned to the home later in the day, he was approached by a neighbor who suggested he check out the condition of a couple of dogs in the back yard. The officer noticed one dog skeleton with a collar still attached and two emaciated dogs. Animal services came and took possession of the skeleton and the two starving dogs.
A warrant was obtained to search the home to make sure there were no other animals in the house. While searching the home, officers discovered Lytton, hiding in a closet. Also found was a bag of marijuana.
Jennifer Lytton was placed under arrest and charged with one misdemeanor count of assault on a child under 12, one felony count of cruelty to animals, two misdemeanor counts of instigating cruelty to animals, and possession of marijuana. She has prior arrests for assault, but no prior record for assaulting her children.
The 5-year-old is now living with a relative and the two dogs are in the care of Iredell County Animal Services.
