well so everyone understand the whole situation there where 4 adult in the house and 4 minors. 3 of which were children. lilly, lillys mother, her boyfriend, his ex-girlfriend(17), lillys mothers friend(my best friend) and her guy friend which also knew the boyfriend previously. and the boyfriends two boys. which are not suppose to be with there father (if that what you want to call him) my best friend and her guy friend where in the room sleep with the door shut. the rest of them were in the kitchen/livingroom. they woke up to the child lifeless on the floor they picked her up and took her to the room were they decided that they need to rush her to the hospital now! with out the thought of calling 911 crossing there minds at that moment witch they deeply regret and wonder would things have been differnt if they had. lillys mother was not beat that same day she was beat the day before. from what i understand she didnt do anything to stop him or help her child. when you all talk about everyone in the house shouold be charged with something i dont agree yes most of them should like her mother which is being charged (when they find her) and the other gurl his ex-girlfrind who the news reporters fail to mention. also his mothers makes staments saying theres no way my son did this no way at all. they should be askin her why she has custody her his two boys and where the scars on there faces came from.

A mother is now charged in connection with the beating death of her 15 month-old daughter.

Prosecutors say 21-year-old Rachel Goodman stood by as her boyfriend, 18-year-old Tayuan Chism, beat her daughter with a belt for not eating her food.

The deadly form of discipline killed 15-month-old Lilliana Goodman.

Chism was charged with murder. Prosecutor Carl Brizzi says Goodman now faces a felony neglect charge.

"So she was, while not actively participating," says Brizzi, "certainly knew what was going on and could have done any number of different things to intervene, call authorities, and that didn't happen."

Goodman told detectives she was in the apartment while Chism beat her daughter for nearly two hours. She also said she went to a bedroom because she couldn't stand watching the violence.

But prosecutors say Goodman did not intervene and did not seek medical help.

This shit really upsets me because i was so close to the situation. The mother of that child is my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend....my boyfriend helped raise that baby for the first couple months of her life....when Rachel called him and told him he was crushed....he don't really talk about it that much but i can see it in his eyes that its killing him. Rachel called my boyfriend while she was in the hospital and she didnt even sound that upset that her baby was fuckin dying...all she said was that Tayaun had beat her and the baby up..and then she said..."you should see my face" WTF?...and even when she called to tell him that Lillianna was dead she sounded like it didn't even phase her. I don't think she is a fit mother....she already gave her first baby up for adoption, then this one is murdered...and she is pregnant again? Investigators now say a 15-month-old girl was beaten with a belt for up to two hours and no one stopped it until it was too late.
In all, there were four people including the girl's mother who witnessed the beating. Although prosecutors have charged the mother's boyfriend, the mother and two others are not in the clear yet.

Witnesses told police Chism repeatedly beat Lilianna Goodmann for not eating. According to investigators, Chism first struck the baby with a belt 15 times because she refused to eat her food. Lilianna reportedly took a nap. When she woke up Chism put a blanket on her and told her to go back to sleep. But Lilianna pushed the blanket off, prompting Chism to beat her for up to two hours.

According to the probable cause statement, three other people, including Lilianna's mother, were in the apartment throughout the duration of the beatings. In fact, another male says he was awakened by the belt strikes and saw Chism hit the child as many as 50 times. Yet he went back into a bedroom with his girlfriend. That woman says she too was awakened by two separate beatings and went out and grabbed Lilianna from Chism's arms the second time.

By then she says the baby was "lifeless, unconscious, and her lips were blue." That's when they finally took Lilianna to the hospital.
Prosecutor Carl Brizzi revealed Tuesday that the girl was actually already dead by the time she got to the hospital, but doctors put her on a life support anyway.

Metro Homicide detectives say Chism attacked them during questioning about the beating. Chism reportedly pushed a table into a female detective, causing minor injuries to her hip and leg.
Brizzi says the autopsy on the girl helps explain what Chism allegedly did to the baby.
"The injuries noted include multiple contusions on the left thigh, right thigh, back and buttocks area and that there were abrasions that were consistent with the belt that was taken from the scene.

"How many 911 calls have they told you they got about that baby that day? None! But all of these people are witnesses and writing statements," said Adrienne Donaldson, Chism's grandmother.

"Nobody did nothing, you know, where was the justice for the baby?" said Tameka Donaldson, Chism's aunt. "Unless you're trying to hide something, how could you be a human being and watch something like that? So all I can say is my nephew is not guilty and we'll see what happens."

According to police, Chism admitted whipping the girl several times last Tuesday, saying she "disrespected him."

"And if you were there, and you didn't try to help the child, you're just as guilty," said Adrienne Donaldson.

The 18-year-old is on suicide watch while behind bars. Chism's mother has told Eyewitness News she wants the other adults, including Lilianna's mother, held responsible.

I'm confused. Are there toddlers out there that aren't disrespectful? I mean they haven't really learned yet, what is respectful or not, they are in the stage of learning that sort of thing. As for the people who are defending the guy who were not there, I hate to break it to you, but you never really know how anyone else will behave.
