She knew her new boyfriend Michael Jones was a sex offender, but yet, she allowed him to move into her home; a home she shares with two young daughters, ages 11 and 16. Read on, it gets worse.

through Myspace. Although it isn’t known exactly how long the two had been communicating, she felt comfortable enough with him to pack up her daughters last month and travel from her home in Tennessee to a motel in North Carolina to meet with Michael.
After her initial visit with Michael, she continued to talk and message him through Myspace until February 26. That day, Kimberly drove to North Carolina again…but this time, she left with more than motel soap…she left the state with Michael.
Now, at this point, I want to make it very clear that Kimberly knew Michael was a sex offender…he even had the GPS ankle bracelet to prove it. When the pair returned to Tennessee, Kimberly visited the Unicoi County Sherriff’s Department-she wanted to know if Michael could stay in the county with her. Child Abuse Advocate Carla Ragland told Kimberly that Michael could not be in the residence with her kids. Period. That would put him in violation of the terms of his release, and because it’s not a good idea!
Kimberly didn’t listen. She allowed Michael to remain in her home. The UCSD received information on FridayFriday reviews that Michael was at Kimberly’s home. Once the officers began investigating the case, they learned that Michael had tried to kiss Potter’s 11-year-old daughter. Officers paid a visit to Kimberly and her new house-guest. Michael was arrested.
On Saturday, Kimberly’s 11-year-old daughter was interviewed in the presence of her father. During that interview, it was discovered that Michael kissed the child around her chest area and he left bruises on her.
Kimberly’s 16-year-old daughter was interviewed. She told investigators that she and Michael had sex on two separate occasions. And guess what? Kimberly was allowing them all to sleep in the same bed. I feel ill…
Michael admitted to having sex with the 16-year-old but denied trying to kiss the 11-year-old. He said he bruised her chest because he was pinching her there.
Michael Jones, 26, is being charged with failure to register as a sex offender, aggravated sexual battery, and aggravated statutory rape. His bond has been set at $250,000. The North Carolina sex offender registry lists Michael as having been convicted of felonious restraint against a minor and indecent liberties with a minor. The age/s of his previous victim/s is not listed.
Kimberly Potter, 34, was arrested and charged with child neglect. Her bond was set at $100,000 and she has been ordered to have no contact with her children until a custody hearing can take place.

….If I had not looked at the picture I would have thought this was my mother. This exact scenario played out in my life about 28 years ago when I was 9 years old.
