has been charged with slamming April’s 17-month old daughter’s head into a playpen to stop her from crying. In this case, it worked pretty good. She was knocked unconscious. After trying to revive her for about 5-minutes, they decided that maybe a trip to the ER was in order after the girl started vomiting. But they had to get their story straight. They would say that the kid had simply fallen.
Once that was cleared up, they headed to the hospital, stopping to drop off Yettner’s 4-year-old child at his mother’s house. Once in the ER, and giving the staff the “she fell” story…which I am pretty sure they hear about as much as we hear “fell off the couch” and “fell in bathtub” when child abusers explain how kids get cigarette burns, chewed up genitals and in the case of this little girl, bleeding on the brain.
The couple were placed in jail on child abuse charges after police were called and are each being held in lieu of $75,000 bail. Things got even more interesting after April filled detectives in on some more details concerning her and Michael’s relationship. Seems as if April met Michael over the internet, and she moved from Kansas to Chandler to live with him. They have been together for about 5 months. While the slamming-head-into playpen seemed to work pretty good, Sgt. Joe Favazzo, Chandler police spokesman, also added that they had other methods as well “April Porter would routinely place (the child) in a playpen with a bottle and lock her in a closet with the light off when she was crying.”
April seems to have issues in regards to her men, and the children she has with them. When she moved to Chandler, she left a 2½-year-old child behind with her father, and get this…according to court records, a son of hers died in 2005 from *gasp!*… uncontrolled bleeding in the brain. When asked why she would lie for the man who just treated her kid’s head like a ping-pong ball, court records state “she protected Michael because he was all of the family that she had and she wanted to stay with him.” The child was released from the hospital and is now in care of the state.

Awwww, you spoil me. Arizona stories 2 days in a row, yay! We have another doozy in the making with a woman crawling across the freeway at 5am and getting hit by 3 cars. She was injured before she wound up on the freeway. Can’t wait to see how it plays out. Maybe we’ll see it here next week!

I’ve been looking thru this site for awhile, and have only made one comment before because it hit so close to home…
ANYWAY, This woman really pisses me off. I have not been blessed with children, and I cannot understand why people would do this to their own flesh and blood. I am very grateful to those who trust me with their children — I can only hope that my influence on them did something to help them go through their path in life successfully. Sigh.

I hate her soo much, I know her and Mike and most of all i know the baby I watched that baby alot when she was in kansas, shes not a mother she never has been and to leave her son with her grandparents is really dumb, i hope she dies! she doesnt derseve her daughter, i love that baby to death and to think i may never get to see her again. i hope that april is happy. that babygirl is every thing to me. i would do anything to have her here with me at this point. and for one thats not even her dad its her granddad, i would know she always left those kids with them, i think that her grandma is going to try to get this baby and you know i will take her in a heart beat.

She has a 2 1/2 year old and a 17 month old…that’s only 13 months (give or take) apart. Are both babies from the same daddy? If so, why would she leave one and not take the other? If not, where is this other baby-daddy? And who is the daddy of the dead baby?
