Toledo, OH–Torture, to me, can mean many things. Being forced to eat broccoli. Being forced to sit through any program on Lifetime or Oxygen TV. Having to remove myself from my computer chair to pour my own cup of coffee. Being forced to listen to Troy Brisport spew Bible passages while handcuffed, diapered, and starved, for three days? That is beyond torture. Death by spork sounds more inviting….

It all started late Wednesday evening. Troy Brisport, 34, was cruising around Detroit when he came across Shykea Boykin, 22. Boykin, who has been known to prostitute, told Brisport she needed a place to stay. Being the good Christian man that he is, he invited her to stay with him for the evening. He set off on the 55-mile drive home to Toledo, promising the woman he would return her the next day.

Once the pair arrived at Brisport’s apartment, Boykin went inside and fell asleep. When she awoke, Brisport was putting a gag in her mouth. Her clothes had been replaced with a T-shirt and an adult diaper…a pair of handcuffs were locked on her wrists and ankles. Holy shit! I bet the diaper came in handy right about then.

For three days Brisport held her captive. During that time, he gave her nothing to eat and very little to drink. He kept her gagged. Brisport tried several times to suffocate her, using a pillow and blanket. He didn’t rape her…he didn’t beat her….but, he did read Bible passages to her.

Boykin was able to escape her bizarro captor Saturday afternoon. While he was napping, she managed to get to a neighbor’s apartment, knock on the door, and ask for help. She told the neighbor that she had been kidnapped, call 911! Then she took off. Officers found her in the parking lot, still handcuffed. She pointed out the apartment where she had been held and officers arrested Brisport. Searching his apartment, police seized, among other things, a pack of adult diapers, two pairs of handcuffs, duct tape and rope.

Troy Brisport was charged with kidnapping and felonious assault. He appeared briefly before a Toledo Municipal Court judge on Tuesday and his bond was set at $400,000. The motive is unclear at this point…was he trying to ‘save’ her? Authorities believe he may have done this before. A bulletin detailing the incident was sent to police departments in several states including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, and New Jersey to determine if there have been any similar reports.

    He didn’t rape her…he didn’t beat her….but, he did read Bible passages to her.

    I’d rather be raped and beaten.

    Unless he read the parts in the Bible about bears eating children or God killing people just because he can…then I would take the Bible passages.

    Wasn’t a variation of this in some movie? I don’t recall the movie, or the actors, but after a young white girl is beaten and left on a country road, a black man finds her and chains her to his house, bent on making her “right” before sending her back into the world, as it was her reckless lifestyle that landed her in such a spot. In the movie, of course, it actually helped the girl.

    How bizarre.

    If her subconcious did not alert to the clothes being removed, she was used to them coming off by someone else’s hand. Scary!

    I wonder if he actually thought he was going to replay that movie we discussed earlier, and did he think he was going to be a hero for “straightening” this girl out.

    Seriously, what the hell was he thinking? Bet she’s lucky to be alive. Don’t think this would have ended pretty.

    I was wondering too how anyone could sleep through the whole clothes changing and handcuffing…maybe she was crashing from drugs??? Maybe he was trying some of the Black Snake Moaning saving??? I think taking her to his local church shelter/soup kitchen would have been a little better myself.

    On a side note…bond at 400k, meanwhile tons of pedos and baby killers hardly see a fraction of that set kinda pisses me off…

    i agree with so jaded, there is no torture more cruel than forcing someone to watch Lifetime or Oxygen. if basic cable existed when the geneva conventions were written, it would have been included in there/.

    ok, as i haven’t actually seen this particular film, could someone say whether or not this film involved the victim being diapered, or if Jackson’s character was a bible humper out to save her, or just a regular freak? i know that ideas from films or books can be very dangerous when absorbed into a sick mind, and adding the bible usually doesn’t help. this one is particularly creepy…i’m sure this would have had a bad end but fortunately she got away.

    i’m also wondering what bible verses were read to her during her captivity? i’m going to guess that it was probably something that had to do with harlots or some such thing… i don’t know very much about the bible(or anything else, really)but i’m going to guess that the verses about bears eating kids probably aren’t relevant here. of course since i’m not crazy, i probably just don’t know the right verses to read in a situation like this.
