Bear, DE–Pedro Rivera has a pretty twisted definition of discipline. When his 11-year-old son did something to displease him, Rivera submerged the child in a bathtub filled with ice-cold water. The child, who was later treated for hypothermia, had blisters on his hands that appeared to be signs of frostbite that was healing. Frostbite? WTF?
Police responded to Rivera’s apartment after receiving an anonymous call on SaturdaySaturday reviews
about a possible child abuse case in progress. When officers arrived at the home, Rivera’s girlfriend, Megan Brazell, told them that she was alone in the home with her two infant children. She said she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend just before officers arrived, but everything was okay because he left. Lying bitch. Rivera, the coward, was hiding in the bedroom. When asked what the hell was going on, Rivera told police that everything was just fine…he was ‘just disciplining his son.’ He went on to explain that he had submerged the child in a bathtub filled with ice-cold water for 40 minutes.
Police found the child on his hands and knees, hidden in a closet. He was clothed, but shivering and shaking. His hands were blistered and bleeding. He had abrasions and bruises on his face and head. When asked about the injuries, the child didn’t, or couldn’t, respond. Officers took a peek into the bathroom, sure enough, the tub was still filled with icy cold water. If a temp of the water was taken, it hasn’t been released to the media.
The child was transported to Christiana Hospital where he was not only treated for hypothermia, but for several other injuries as well. The child had burn marks to his back, buttocks and hands; bruising to his face, head, and arms; contusions to his head; bruises under both eyes and a hemorrhage in his left eye. The little boy pleaded with officers to not return him to his father.
Pedro Rivera, 29, and Megan Brazell, 26, were both arrested and charged with one count of abuse or neglect and endangering the welfare of a child. During the search of the home, officers also stumbled across about 20 bags of Mary Jane…so charges of possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia were also tossed on. Brazell was arraigned and released after posting $22,000 secured bail. Rivera failed to post his bail of $39,000, so he is still caged.

Can someone please explain to me why these so called “women” call the cops to report that their husband/boyfriend is acting a fool and when the cops arrive they beg for mercy and say ” Oh dont take him…he loves me and our children…he didnt mean it!”……WTF does that not make sense to anyone else??? Why even bother calling the cops? First of all you are an incovenience to them. Second you sound trashy as hell. And third its just dumb… IF YOU DONT WANT THE COPS TO DO THEIR JOB THEN DONT CALL THEM! Its really just that simple. If your going to be a weak POS then just bend over and take your beating and keep your mouth shut…otherwise do your job and protect yourself and your children! Stupid….

I have never heard of a parent submerging their kid in tubs of ice water…what the HELL did he think he was going to accomplish by this?! Someone must have did that to him, he saw it on a movie and thought it would be a good idea? I mean, where do these assholes get the thought, the idea to do something this horrible to their own child? I was never physically disciplined by my parents, but my mom damn sure put Ivory soap in my mouth once and she bawled afterwards thinking she poisoned me! This douchebag and his twat waffle girlfriend don’t deserve the kids they were blessed w/ and I hope to hell the authorities take this incident seriously and remove the children permanently! CPS has failed far too many kids already and the cases are rising…

Such low bond/bail considering they are facing abuse AND drug charges! Man, if I decide to commit a crime – I’m heading to Delaware! lol. Not really funny that bail is so low tho.
I hope that they can protect this child from not only these pieces of shit – but any other family member. There is no way this asshat was raised in a home where acceptable means of discipline were used – I refuse to believe he could be. You don’t just come up with sick, sadistic shit off the top of your head one day.

The women do that so when he DOES get out and DOES come back home he won’t beat the shit outta her again for telling the cops to take his ass away. The women in domestic situations have learned not to let him think that they would ever tell anyone–COPS- that he was the wife beater. If he hears her defending him to the cops, he may not sit in jail stewing on how he’s gonna kill her when he gets out. Mind games.
Many of them have been so beat-down and self-confidence ridden by the wife-beater that they wouldn’t-couldn’t possibly get along without “Bubba” taking care of them.

Yeah, then she will go to an attorney, who in turn will plead to the judge to forgive his client for choosing the wrong boyfriend, go home, receive some counseling, then probably get her son back!!! Then will come along the next penis, probably bigger and better, and the child will end up dead. That is what’s wrong with the system. The bitch needed to be held in jail with no bail or at least bail in the six figures. She does not deserve freedom!!!!! No mother who allows their child to be treated that way deserves any sympathy or excuse for allowing it to happen as she had none for her son. omg my brother was in the same class as her as a kid. we all went to fuckin private school. damn baptists and shit. she has twin little boys by this piece of shit, too. thought she was normal but apparently not. my in laws live in this neighborhood. it’s all scum of the earth (trust me they are too) all every one does around there is get drunk and beat the shit out of each other. i never heard an update on these two though
