Melissa Marcrum Is An Idiot
February 10, 2009 by Morbid
Fresno, CA - Oh, how I hate this woman. Melissa Marcrum, 35, was with her family watching the Super Bowl on SundaySunday reviews
. She is also the owner of a 70-pound Pit Bull named Kane. One of the people at the family gathering was her 13-year-old nephew, who happened to be terrified of the dog. Marcrum thought this was pretty hilarious, and her stupid, drunk ass decided to terrorize the kid by ordering Kane to attack him.
The dog chased the boy into a bedroom, where he then climbed out of a window where the dog then gave up. Later, the boy and a friend got into a car in the driveway to get away from the dog. Marcrum came out with Kane and told the boy that he would not hurt him and then opened the door. The dog then attacked the boy, locking on to his arm. The dog was pulled off by family members and the boy, suffering from skin and muscle damage, was rushed to Emmanuel Medical Center.
I cannot imagine the mental trauma this incident will cause this kid. He already had a fear of the dog, probably dogs in general and now in his head, his fear has been 100 percent rationalized. I love the quote from the boy’s grandmother, Macum’s mother…after seeing all the blood on the boy, she ran away.
Isabel Bingle said, “When I seen all the blood on his arm I ran to my room because I got scared, I freaked, because all that blood, I’m not used to seeing all that blood so I got kind of scared.” She later admitted that the dog was aggressive and has bitten people before. “He bit people before, but not like that, no, not that bad no, where they had to go to the hospital, no,” said Bingle.
Marcum was arrested for felony child endangerment and was being held at the county jail on $50,000 bail. The dog has been taken by animal control. It will be evaluated and if deemed a threat to public safety, it will be destroyed. I know we have some Pit Bull owners here…and stories like this should really piss them off. This idiot is a big reason why this breed of dog is suffering from the negative public opinion. What she did is obscene and I hope a judge makes an example out of her.
If I had it my way, she would have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and received a punch in the mouth upon arrest. Thanks for the story, DogMom.
Here is the video and kid, if you are reading this at any time, I got four words for you:

lol! I shoulda’ guessed by the picture, but I got some video coming up…White Fucking Trash.
10:42 am on February 10th, 2009
Fucking cunt – she looks bored and “put out” in that mug shot.
Bet she STILL doesn’t think she did anything wrong. It was the DOGS fault! Yeah, all on his own he decided to terrorize that child, right? Poor dog probably WILL be put down due to how this C-U-N-T trained/raised him!
Does this fat piece of trash have any kids of her own? She sure as fuck shouldn’t be raising them!
And I agree 100% that she should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. A dog told to “attack” won’t just “stop” because it drew blood. Imagine if this dog had caught this kid before he got out the window? Apparently no adult was close by to stop the attack. This kid would have surely been killed!
I am anxious as hell to know what punishment/charges she gets! I hope it’s the max of the max.
Grrrrrrrrrr.
I pray this boy heals both physically AND mentally. That was just so cruel.
10:44 am on February 10th, 2009
*raises hand* And yet another pit bull gets destroyed (most likely) because Melissa Marcum is a worthless cunt. And of course, I’m sure her nephew will grow up to be a devoted animal lover thanks to her help.
10:46 am on February 10th, 2009
And the nephew’s parents should beat her ass…
She should be ashamed of herself picking on her young nephew like that! The people there at her “party” should have intervened and stopped this fukkery.
10:53 am on February 10th, 2009
It was assault with a deadly weapon, she new the dog was dangerous & had attacked people before. Part of the problem with pit Bulls is they’re a favorite of assholes.
Not all Pit Bull owners are assholes, but you have to admit, the I’m gansta, bad ass, drugged out dumb motherfucker isn’t going to own a miniature poodle. I find this owner responsible for the attack. The dog should be fined and placed in a supervised emotional awareness, social adaptability, therapy/counseling program and the owner euthanized
10:56 am on February 10th, 2009
Yeah, no shit! Were they there? Did they allow this “fukkery” to go on? If so, I pray they are charged as well.
And the video says she’ll (likely) be charged with “child endangerment”! WTF? That would apply if she just let the dog walk around freely, knowing it was dangerous. She ORDERED AND AIDED the dog in attacking this boy! That goes beyond “endangerment” in my eyes.
10:59 am on February 10th, 2009
Hey, Melissa Marcrum! Fat, dumb and ugly is no way to go through life. And you should know.
11:00 am on February 10th, 2009
True assessment. IMHO
Now THAT’S funny – but I’ll be fucked if it doesn’t make sense too! LOL
You got MY vote!
11:01 am on February 10th, 2009
I like the idea of her being the one euthanized..
11:01 am on February 10th, 2009
LOL
11:04 am on February 10th, 2009
I’d tack on attempted murder with that deadly weapon assault, and a kick in the ass to go along with the punch in the mouth.
That poor kid will suffer with fears and nightmares for the rest of his life.
IMO, her sorry ass should be cut and then put in to a hole with vicious dogs, and let her fend for herself. She should never be allowed to own any type of animal again.
11:08 am on February 10th, 2009
haha. indeed she should.
11:21 am on February 10th, 2009
Where are the boy’s parents? That poor kid now will live with the fear of dogs, hell he already had the fear.
What a dumb, cruel ugly bitch. While we are at it, I don’t believe this one is 35. Shit I am 37 and look like a fetus next to this sack of nasty lard.
11:22 am on February 10th, 2009
OMFG…*falling out of chair with splitting sides*…HELL YEAH!!!!!
Can I get an AAAAMEN!
11:24 am on February 10th, 2009
Seriously, tho, I have known several pits that were better suited to destroy sqeaky-toys than attacking people. They can be wonderful animals…but again..just like kids, it’s all in how you raise them. I’ll say it again for those that didn’t catch it…
IT’S ALL IN HOW YOU RAISE THEM!!!!!!!
11:29 am on February 10th, 2009
So I’m not reading what this kids parents did to this stupid bitch. I would have had her fucking head on a stick for this! That poor child, his nightmare realized. I can’t say enough about what I’d like done to this sadistic bitch. She should be charged for attempted murder, this child could have easily died from this attack. I’d say that was her intention, but she looks to fucking stupid to think that far out.
I hope this woman is never allowed anywhere near this child again… the parents should see it that way too. Be well and heal young one.
11:48 am on February 10th, 2009
Well put and, frankly, it should piss the owners of ANY “dangerous breed” off. No matter how well-behaved my dog is, I can’t take her to certain apartments, dog parks and groomers, simply because assholes like this mistreat their animals (and I consider training the family pet to attack is mistreatment).
Luckily, California treats this type of crime fairly seriously. As I’m sure you all recall, it was California that convicted Marjorie Knoller and Robert Noel of murder after the 2001 mauling death of Diane Whipple in the hallway of her apartment. Also, California is a Three-Strikes state and, because this crime is a violent felony, it will undoubtedly qualify as a strike. (*Now, I don’t agree with the legal ramifications of either the murder charge or three-strikes logic, but that’s an argument for another day.) So, we should expect to see some substantial sentencing, in this case.
What can we do to help? Public outcry often significantly affects prosecutorial considerations. I recommend you contact the Fresno County District Attorney’s office to show your support for exceptional sentencing in this case.
12:13 pm on February 10th, 2009
I’m there. Awesome idea, Athena. A few more reminders such as this for cases featured here, and we could come to know ourselves as more than public shamers and tard attractors.
12:17 pm on February 10th, 2009
DONE!
12:22 pm on February 10th, 2009
You know what pisses me off even more than this malicious bitch? The other people at the party who sat back laughing while she used her dog to torment a 13 year old boy. WTF is wrong with those people, that nobody stood up and said “Hey, this isn’t funny! Stop it!” Oddly enough, that’s the kind of savage, cruel shit I expect from teenage boys, not their grown aunts. How come nobody else in this house was willing to stand up for this kid?!? I think some other people should be up on charges for not intervening in what was obviously mental abuse.
I would think that being tormented and chased by something you’re terrified of qualifies as abuse, even if the object of your fear doesn’t rip your arm off later.
12:49 pm on February 10th, 2009
As a new proud owner of a beautiful pit bull mix this outrages me. I used to be afraid of dogs too (I was attacked by a St. Bernard as a child), but worked my way through it with kind people who raised loving beautiful dogs.
If you know someone is afraid of your pet, you should do your best to put them at ease and if that means placing your animal in the backyard or a crate then those are the steps that need to be taken. What a horrible woman for preying on this child’s fear. She should be locked up and subjected to whatever her biggest nightmare is!!!

Dear Fat, Ugly, Melissa and Ignorant, Dumbass Granny,
You are two very blessed and lucky bitches! Yes, Melissa, I realize that you resemble the North bound side of a South bound mule, but that is a different issue all together. I really want you to sit back and reflect on how lucky you are today.
Granny, despite the fact that you would not begin to understand the King’s English, let alone speak it, (”When I seen”) you too, should take a moment to count your blessings.
Blessings? Blessings? You ask. Let’s begin with one.
YOU NEED TO BE SO THANKFUL THAT WAS NOT MY CHILD OR THAT I WAS NOT WITNESS TO THIS TERRIFYING BULLSHIT! HONESTLY, YOUR TINY BRAINS CANNOT FATHOM THE GOOD OLD FASHIONED ASS BEATING THAT I WOULD HAVE BESTOWED UPON EVERY PART OF YOUR SKANKY UGLY BODIES! OH, AND GRANNY, I DO NOT AGE DISCRIMINATE! I WOULD HAVE PUT MY FOOT SO FAR UP YOUR ASSES THAT WHEN YOU SMILED YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN MY SHOE SIZE. YOUR KIND MAKES ME SICK!
Damn, I hope Fat, Ugly, Evil, Dumbass Melissa, that you never have children around you ever, ever again. I also pray that they take Rover away and never grant you the privilege of having a dog again. Granny, well, you’re just a dumbass that raised an even bigger dumbass. I’d still take you for not helping that baby!
Once again, you two bitches count your blessings. (walks away humming…count your blessings, name them one by one…)
Thanks all, I feel much better now. (Fucking dumbasses combined with my menopause! )

I thought the same thing. I own a German Shephard and I would never train her to attack, they have instincts if needed.
That’s just cruel to use your dog for enjoyment like that, poor kid.

I’d love to see it and will do my best to provide this information on a regular basis. You know, “contacting your representatives” has become so cliche, people forget that there is REAL benefit in doing so. District attorneys are no different than legislators in that they, too, represent the interests of the populace they serve. You know, our authors do a lot of research, and I’d be pleased to see the contact information for district attorneys associated with cases worked right into the end of articles, if possible, especially for the cases where the severity of the charge doesn’t seem to fit the crime. DAs need to be reminded that they’re being watched.
Another tip along similar lines – your local news stations are always looking for tips on stories to report about. This is sometimes how local stories become national, because, say, people in Washington e-mail their local station showing interest in a story from California, etc. If you’d like to see a story get more press, it does NOT hurt to contact your local news outlets to bring stories to their attention.

My letter to the DA:
In re: The Melissa Macrum case
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this after reading/watching the news report about the woman who ordered her dog to attack her nephew on Super Bowl Sunday.
I am asking… no pleading with you to please assign the harshest penalty allowed by law on this cruel, thoughtless and malevolent woman. What she did to this child (her own nephew) is an outrage and this child will have a life long battle with nightmares and daytime fears of all dogs (and possibly even a major dis-trust of relatives)
She knew her dog was dangerous and had bitten in the past before she set him loose on her nephew. He very well could have been killed. Please consider at the very least, assault with a deadly weapon – or more accurately, attempted murder
for this woman. Had the child not jumped out that window, the dog would have certainly overpowered him and ripped him to pieces the first time she ordered it to attack.
Thank you for your time and patience with my letter.
Best of luck in putting Melissa behind bars for a very long time.
Sincerely,
[my name here]
*Not sure all of the italics, bold or underlining will show*
Be kind with critique – this is my first real attempt at this. Letters to my own reps in regards to local BS are one thing – this was something I had to try hard to keep my cool while writing… which was extremely difficult.
1:40 pm on February 10th, 2009
There’s no reason to think this boy was fearful of all dogs, only this one. And he totally had that pegged, as it turns out. Probabaly not the “told ya so” moment he wanted though.
Euthanizing the owners of vicious dogs… funny.
2:53 pm on February 10th, 2009
That was fantastic, Zibarro! I really like how you juxtaposed your distain for the offender with your sincere concern for the victim. Best of all, you were exceptionally civil, which IS hard to do with cases like this, but is the most important element when communicating under these circumstances.
You’re a credit to society, my dear.

Great job, since my writing skills are non existent, can I send them a copy of your letter?
or at least steal from it.

Okay – So Fresno is a little far from Redondo Beach. But feel free to send donations in the form of gas station gift cards and I will drive up there and kick her ass. Just for sport…. Then I’ll kick her ass again for being a dumb whore. Then I’ll kick her ass again for hurting the boy. Then I’ll kick her ass again for the dog most likely being destroyed. Or maybe one good curb stomping will cover all of it.
4:38 pm on February 10th, 2009
April, you are forgetting Saggy Granny. She should get some ass stomping too. I will contribute for gas.

Thank you Athena. Your opinion is greatly appreciated, as it is highly regarded.
You flatter me. I’m nothing special… really… I’m not. But again, thank you.
I believe it would be better to just “steal” from it. I’ve heard that if carbon copies are received, they are less likely to be interested in the content.
Otherwise, I love your passion when you write!
I disagree about your writing skills. I think all you might need to do is “tone it down” a bit for this occasion. The only thing about your writing that could get in the way is you occasionally let your anger get the best of you… which isn’t necessarily a bad thing — except when writing to the DA
Mercy! I’m blending in with my red sweater now! lol. Thank you for that compliment.
Y’all have no idea how much your kind words mean… especially today.

What a dumb bitch! Not only did she traumatize her nephew for probably the rest of his life, but she became the cause for her own dog to possibly be put down. How stupid can you get? I don’t find her idea of humor funny at all! If I was one of the kid’s parents, I would of knocked her ass out!
I have two small dogs. (pics in my profile) I usually put them in their crates when I have company. Not that I am afraid they might bite someone, but because one has white hair and likes to jump when excited. I just don’t want her to get hair on my guests or annoy them. Some of my friends don’t mind them, so when they come, I leave them loose.
I never allow my dogs to be loose when I have kids over who show the slightest fear of them. It’s out of courtesy and wanting the child to feel safe in my home. Besides, my dogs are my dogs. They are a part of my family and I put them away as much for their safety (friend’s two year old likes to pull tails) as anyone else’s.
What this bitch did is childish and I wish some of the other adults who were there would of stopped this immaturity before it got out of hand!
Morbid said it right, Stupid White Trash!

AS I WAS GOING TO SAY BEFORE MY COMPUTOR FREAKED OUT…
NO INTENTION OF PRYING, Zibarro, but usually when I get stressed out, I hunt down my kids and do something extremely childish until THEY get tired of me. Doesn’t matter what it is, just something. Helps every time.
…unless they’re the ones stressing me out… then I’m SOL.
be strong.

Aww.. you’re too sweet! I’m not having a bad day per-se. Just dealing with a bad situation (see forums) and frustrated that, at the moment I can’t do more. I wish my “people tracking” skills equaled my writing skills.
I very much appreciate your words of encouragement and honestly, I don’t mind your prying at all. Gemini here – I’m told I care TOO much…. but I don’t believe that’s possible:-)

My son has always had a type of gift with animals, especially dogs. He got bit by a Newfoundland not long ago and he’s now terrified of all dogs. It took days for him to not be afraid of our pit, who took full advantage of knowing he was scared. She messed with him like you wouldn’t believe. Not mean, just messing with him I swear to amuse herself. My point is dogs easily pick up on that.
Also, out of all the breeds I’ve ever owned, a pit has been the type of dog most eager to please its owner. If I want my dog to do something, she’ll will try to her best to make me happy and do it. This stupid cunt told her dog to get the boy, and it did just that!
This incident will I’m sure restart any town or association meetings calling for the banning of the breed. This dog is going to get the punishment for it’s stupid owner. I think she should be banned from all neighborhoods and made and uncoverable by homeowner’s insurance. Further, whereever she does live, she should at all times be enclosed by a fence in addition to being tied on a run. There must also be a sign posted that says “BEWARE OF CRIMINAL”
Think you got something worth saying? Type it out. If you don't wanna look lame, get rid of that default avatar and go get you a gravatar! Tell 'em Morbid sent ya'. Lastly, as far as we are concerned, posting a comment means that you have read our Disclaimer.
