Milton-Freewater, OR–Loretta Polanco, 26, caught my attention earlier this month. She had been arrested for suspicion of murder in the death of her 2-year-old son, Lucas Isaac Polanco. At the time, there weren’t many details released…now that I have some details, I feel that her stupid face, her stupid tattoos, and her story of torture deserve a spot here on the Demon.
On January 2, Loretta Polanco’s husband, Isidoro Polanco, came home at 6:00 p.m. to find his son in distress. LucasLucas reviews
was unresponsive, his teeth and fists were clenched…he was cold to the touch and he wasn’t breathing. Isidoro insisted that Loretta call 911. Loretta poo-pooed the idea, insisting that Lucas would be fine. Isidoro told her that if she didn’t call, he would. That prompted the stupid bitch to pick up the phone.
Paramedics and police responded to the Polanco home on a report of an unconscious child. During initial questioning, Loretta told a responding officer that Lucas had a seizure at around 4:00 p.m. (It is my understanding that Lucas was diabetic). She reported that she fed Lucas an orange, gave him a cold shower, and put him to bed. Loretta told the officer that Lucas may have had a reaction to medication.
Lucas was taken to Walla Walla General Hospital where Loretta was questioned again. Her versions this time were slightly different. Version #1. Lucas might have hit his head on a plastic toy piano. #2. She heard a crash and found him shaking. #3. She found her 3-year-old son Luisluis reviews biting Lucas. #4. She called for Lucas, heard a crash, and found him having a seizure.
Lucas and Loretta were both airlifted to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland. Loretta’s story changed again. In this version, Loretta stated that she was taking out the trash and she heard Lucas screaming. She went to the bedroom and found Luis biting Lucas on the shoulder. She put Lucas to bed at 4:00 but minutes later called to him and heard a crash. She went to the bedroom and saw Lucas shaking on the floor, a nearby toy piano was knocked over. In this version, Loretta gave Lucas a cold bath, used a mucous bulb to remove vomit from his nose and mouth, and took him for a walk out in the cold air. She even stopped at a neighbor’s home to inquire about smelling salts.
In yet another story, Loretta said that she pushed Lucas out of her way while she went to attend to another child. Lucas hit his head on the metal bottom of the kitchen table and then hit a metal chair leg. DoctorsDoctors reviews stated that Lucas’ injuries were inconsistent with Loretta’s stories.
There was no hope for Lucas. On January 4, doctors disconnected life support. Little Lucas was dead. The delay in medical treatment played a significant role in his death. An autopsy revealed Lucas suffered blunt force trauma to the back of his skull, which caused bleeding in his brain. Also, numerous bruises, a broken or dislocated left shoulder, a lacerated liver, and bite marks (likely from another child). The kicker? On the back of his head, Lucas had 15-20 stab marks from a lancet. Holy hell! PsychoPsycho reviews bitch…
90 minutes after Lucas died, Loretta was questioned once again. She again stated that she had pushed Lucas into a table where he hit his head. But this time she admits that she pushed him out of frustration, because he was crying. ‘I pushed him pretty hard.’ Oh yeah…and she said that she may have injured Lucas’ liver when she punched him two weeks before, or when she kicked him a month earlier, or it could have happened when she attempted CPR. WTF is this? Multiple choice? She admitted to slamming the boy’s head into a table two weeks prior to his death and she jerked his left arm a week before that. As far as the stabbing is concerned, she admitted to stabbing him in the head with the lancet and making him bleed. Why? Because she is a psycho fuckin’ bitch.
But wait…there’s more! You see, Loretta has a couple of excuses for the last 6 months of abuse and torture she dished out on her son. The abuse started after Loretta’s father died in February 2008. I guess a death in the family makes everyone a little nuts, but come the fuck on. She’sShe reviews got one more excuse up her sleeve folks. It’s her husband’s fault that she was so mean to Lucas. Isidoro was verbally abusive to her, and since Isidoro favored Lucas, she took her frustrations out on him.
Loretta Polanco was originally arrested in Portland and returned to Umatilla County to face charges. She is being charged with one count of felony murder, two counts of murder by abuse, three counts of first-degree manslaughter, three counts of second-degree manslaughter, four counts of first-degree assault, four counts of second-degree assault, 15 counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment and 15 counts of third-degree assault. She is being held without bond. She has, in the past, been convicted for possession of methamphetamine, forgery, and theft.
CPS has taken her other two children, a 3-year-old and an infant, into protective custody. Isidoro Polanco has also been questioned and is being considered a person of interest. The investigation continues.

To call her a woman would be a HUGE insult to respectable women everywhere. At least the father thought to call 911 the moment he noticed something was up though in my mind he’s not out of the woods yet. I read these stories and I still don’t get it. How are these people in two parent families getting away with such tremendous abuse?
I was raised in a two parent family. My mom was a lot more physical than my dad, but he was always around making sure her “discipline” didn’t get out of hand. I can think of times he stepped in and said “enough” or “too far”.
When my girlfriend and I punish the kids physically, one of us is always there asking questions about why the punishment is happening and making sure its not going to far.
If a kid is crying, its not enough to say “I spanked him” ok but why did you spank him. Neither of us ever gets mad at the other for questioning or commenting. Why can’t people understand that parents have a duty to protect their children even from the other parent.

I just cant believe that the father didnt notice this kid was being slowly murdered. My daughter came up to talk to me when I was on the story with the close-up of the hideous troll who molested her own daughter, and I quickly put my hand up then clicked out, hoping the quick glance won’t cause her horrible nightmares. Lizard, you ask if this really happens in prison to those who violate children. ABSOLUTELY!
I was visiting someone in prison a few years back. They were bringing the woman in who had been convicted of putting her child in the microwave.
I was terrified!! They had to put the prison on lockdown because the other women there were trying to climb the fences to get to this evil bitch.
They were begging to have this women put in the cell with them. They were screaming at her that she know what her baby felt. They were screaming how they were going to teach her a lesson.
I think she was more afraid than I was, if that was possible! I heard several of the guards stating to her that she would have to watch her back at every turn. One guard even made it clear to her that although they would “protect” her the best they could…things could and did happen because they couldn’t babysit her 24/7.
So, I am inclined to say YES these people will take care of her.

All of you are right about this so called human. I know her, I rented a house to her. She is not a representive of the people of our small farming town. She is a discrace to all who live in our town. It makes me embarrased to even tell anyone where I live, now that the whole world knows what she did and where she lives. Do not be to quick to judge her husband, he is a mild mannered hispanic man, that I believe was totally ruled by her as well. She must be mentally ill to be able to do such terrible things to her own son. There are many many humans capable of this torture to others. All I can say to all of you is, make sure you are taking care of your children the way you should, and give them all the affection they need and deserve. If we can start to care for our children, maybe the pattern of abuse can be stopped. Our world is not a very nice place to live these days. Pray for her other children. They will have to know one day, what a monster they had for a mother.

It’s just hard for me to understand how one parent can live in the same household, or even another one for that matter, and not know what is going on with their child who is undergoing constant abuse. I am praying for them and glad you came on here to share. You sound like a very nice person and I am guessing that this has really taken a toll on you for having known this family. My boyfriend’s brother was a meth addict for years, yet managed to hover around 275 (he’s around 5′9″). Stranger things have happened.
Our world is actually, generally speaking, safer and more moral than at any point in its history. That said, there’s always room for improvement. The trick is to reinforce the family unit. Of course, “family” is relative, and this may include neighbors and such. This is because, the people prone to abusive behavior tend to not be the people everyone visits. This keeps them isolated and enables abuse which may not be discovered until something really bad happens.
A few years ago, I was worried about one of my relative’s children. The boy, who was three, had speech and behavioral issues. I didn’t want to assume abuse, but I knew dad had a temper and mom, well, I didn’t know her well at all. He was the guy in the family no one really wanted to spend time with. Loud and opinionated, he was generally pretty abrasive. But, I had to subject myself to that if I was at all concerned about the children. So, I’d drop by. I’d bring the kids toys and play with them very closely to observe them. I’d chat it up with my cousin and his wife, unpleasant as it may have been, to get a feel for their life.
Frankly, it was a small price to pay for some peace of mind. So, yeah, I’m sure this woman had a family who found her to be as disgusting as we all do. Maybe that’s why they weren’t around. Maybe if they had put their own distaste aside to involve themselves, the abuse could have been caught before the baby had to die. We should all think about that before we decline the invitation to *that* relative’s house.

That’s a very good point Athena and I applaud you for your courage for the childrens’ sake. Our situation is somewhat different, though. My husband’s brother is a loud, mean, scary asshole. I have never visited his home because of it. 5 years ago at Thanksgiving, he slammed a door into my shoulder for no reason, other than he was coming in while I was going out and when I asked him what his problem was he told me to Fuck off.
Not wanting to start my hubbie’s family T-day in a blow out, I didn’t tell my hubby right away. After we left, his brother continued to drink and threatened to do a drive-by at our home. We heard about this from several people, including my mother-in-law who poo pooed it and said it was not a big deal. We have never been back since to any family gatherings and feel it is for the safety of our children to not do so.
Sadly, when you pointed this out it, I did feel guilty. He now has two little boys of his own. I do not know them, but it did make me cry when I remembered the last time I seen their father. I pray they are not subjected to his ignorant arrogance and he has grown up since then.

Well, sure. If you have reason to fear for your own safety, this would certainly not apply. However, husband’s family be damned, should you be unfortunate enough to suffer through a situation like that again, I would hope you file a police report. You can file reports without pressing charges or getting that person a visit by cops in most jurisdictions, but it’s good in the event of future encounters that prior issues like that be documented.
No, I’m talking about just the distasteful but relatively harmless relatives. Really, it applies to all the people around you in general. It seems like, more and more, people are unfamiliar with their neighbors or even extended relatives. Being involved in each other’s lives is important, as more sets of eyes is always a good thing when kids are involved.

What a cute little boy he was…and he favors her too, ugh. I wish I could see MySpace from work, but alas, it’s ‘blocked and logged’. I am not surprised by her actions, her excuses and the end result. From DD we see this is not uncommon and sadly, never ending. I wish I had the energy to call her every bad mother, inhumane and bitchy thing I can think of but I won’t waste my time. Whoever knocked her up or laid down w/ her has got to be just as bad…if not worse. I just hope she burns in hell and little Lucas is at that playground somehow, somewhere – the place all kids like him go because of adults like her – it’s got to be better there than it was for him here. So sad.
