David Ward Does Visitation Wrong

David Ward
PACIFIC, Mo. - David Ward had a rough relationship with his daughter. Court records show he had been charged with assaulting her four years ago. This may have something to do with why his daughter would not allow him to see his granddaughter. David Ward decided the best course of action would to be to attempt a reconciliation with his daughter. Find some mutual ground, possibly show that he really wants to be in his granddaughter’s life. Convince his daughter that no matter what the issues where they were currently experiencing with their relationship, he had made changes in his life and should be allowed some sort of visitation, even if supervised. He started this by hiring a hitman to beat the shit out of her.
Obviously, I am not sure exactly what David Ward had attempted to try and repair the relationship with his daughter in order to see his granddaughter, I was just being a smartass. Also, the daughter may very well be 100 percent in the right for not wanting her dad to be anywhere close to her granddaughter. The fact that he was callous and stupid enough to hire a hitman is evidence enough that the latter scenario may be the more plausible one. Who knows. I mean, he did assault her at some point.
But the fact remains, whether or not David should see his granddaughter or not, he did hire a hitman with specific instructions to beat the crap out of her. He even provided a map and various pictures of her to help in identification. As usual, the hitman was an undercover officer (aren’t they all?) and David was arrested. The motive behind the beating was so that his daughter would be so injured, that he would then be able to not only see his granddaughter, but to also try and get custody of her. I know, it makes no sense to me either, but that is what the reports are saying.
If we get lucky, maybe some friends or family will stop by and shed a little light on the situation, and give us a bit of insight on why David Ward felt so desperate that he resorted to this absolutely asinine plot.

Does make one question tho – why was he so hell bent on seeing her and possibly gaining custody of her?

“Once a cheater, always a cheater” ….. people dont change and history repeats itself. His plan was obvisouly not thought through too well. Hire a hitman to beat the daylights out of your daughter so you can get custody of her child??? What an assclown!
Hope the daughter recovers and hopfeully she and her child are able to live a normal life once he is out of the picture!

Yeah, sound to me like we’re gonna need some of that…none of this makes ANY sense to me.
I don’t care if the mom was snifing coke off her daughter’s back! (I’m sure he’s gonna accuse her of something horrendous to justify his bullshit) A FATHER hiring someone to do his DAUGHTER bodily harm is psycho wacko to me. I have pissed my Dad off more than once, I’m sure, and he’s never had someone stalk me and kick my ass. That’s just craziness.
And I know I am gonna catch HELL for this next comment, but I am gonna speak my mind. Although I agree Grandparents are good for kids, I also believe it’s the parent’s choice who they do or don’t allow in their kids’ lives. Whether it’s for petty, selfish reasons or whether she has legit concerns…it’s HER choice who she allows to spend time w/ HER daughter! As we have read on here on DD, there are crazy people out there, even Grandparents, and if it’s the parents’ decision that THEIR parents cannot see their children, so be it. I mean, who knows your parents better than you?

Sounds creepy to me. I’m guessing there might have been bigger reasons behind his terrible relationship with his daughter other than assault and his volatile temper. Possibly molestation? Just guessing.

Let me see if I understand this….the father abused the daughter like 4 years ago…I am going to assume (I know its not a good thing but…) that it was a sexual nature….so doesn’t it make sense that he would want to get to her daughter as well? He sounds to me like a sex offender…..to me, that would be the only reason for wanting to get to see the granddaughter and to get custody of her…he can then do what he wanted whenever he wanted….is SICK..this just is SICK…I hope there is enough evidence to put him away for awhile…hopefully the daughter and her child will move and change their names!

20 some odd years ago, David Ward abused his two daughters, broke their legs and ribs at just 4 months old and got away with it for some reason. He is a horrible man and a psycho. He needs to be put behind bars for LIFE. He did it because he wanted the baby and money. If this plan had happened the state would have taken the baby anyway because records show that he is not able to have a baby in his house because of what he does to women and children. Lets hope there is a good prosecuter.

I am a single Dad, and I would go toe-to-toe, tooth and nail, gun and noose with anyone who tried to hurt my boys. I would do the same for anyone else’s children as well. If this society in general would step up and help, more kids would be safe. I don’t believe it takes a village to raise my boys… i can do that myself. However, I do believe it takes a village to protect our kids. How many times have we read…”nobody said anything even when they knew it was happening”?!!!!!

Thank you for the background information. Can you tell us what was up with the assault four years ago which was mentioned in the recent articles? Just a natural continuation of his inability to have a healthy nuturing relationship with his daughters?

I know nothing of an assult from 4 years ago. I stay away from that side of the family because of everything they have done to me and my family. As far as I knew his daughter with the baby just came into the picture about a year ago. All I know is that he is crazy and so is most of his family and he needs to go to prison for a long time. He got away with breaking this daughters leg as a child and weekend jail and the Raven program for my ribs and my leg at 4 months old. He messed up once again and FINALLY got caught, by a police officer, and he needs to pay! I have shared a lot here and it hurts to bring up the past, because my family who adopted me put this all behind us, it is still there, but we try to forget about it, but never will. If you have anymore questions just let me know and I will see what I can do.

I agree with this in principle – I mean, I have a crazy abusive MIL we sometimes have to cut off whom I wouldn’t want to have a legal leg to stand on in forcing some sort or visitation. You do know your parents. But there’s a flipside. Who knows their kids better than parents, and what if yours is a sociopathic fuck up? Let’s say you’re… Casey Anthony’s mom. Your lying sociopath of a daughter takes off with the granddaughter you’ve raised and won’t allow you contact – what do you do? So while I believe that children are a parent’s to protect, it should be acknowledged that the rights I think should be accorded parents can mean that loving, primary care giving grandparents can be forced out of the picture while their dangerous psycho kids and in-laws destroy grandkids they adore. And that’s got to be torture with no recourse.
