Hands are to hold your little one(s) and wipe away tears, not to push, shake or hit and cause them tears. Next time count to ten and do the right fucking thing... My child was admitted into the same PICU unit at her. Let me tell you Briana is a fighter. Everyday she proved the doctors wrong. Besides the fact that someone as innocent as her was going through so much the sad part was also the fact that her biological father treated the hospital like if it was some sort of vacation destination. They had to kick his girlfriend out of the hospital room were they were staying. It was hard to see that while his daughter was fighting for her life he was in the family waiting rooms laughing and making out with his girlfriend. The social workers would have to ASK HIM to go in and spend time with Briana. My son was not nearly as critial as Briana, but I was with him 24/7. How parents can just treat their kids like just some sort of accessory is unimaginable. My kids are a part of me when they hurt I hurt.
