Danny Villa Plays More Than Football

Walpole, MA, and Tucson, AZ – Former pro football player Daniel Villa apparently played more than a little ball during his tenure as a high school football coach in Massachusetts. Villa, 44, is a former offensive lineman for the New England Patriots. He’s also the now-resigned athletic director and head football coach at Walpole High School, where he is accused of raping one of his students on multiple occasions over the past year.
Villa was confronted with the allegations against him by school officials a couple of days before Christmas and was asked to resign. As word leaked out that Villa was leaving the school, he denied it as late as the night of December 23rd, saying he “hope(d) to return in 2009″. But by Christmas Day, Villa was telling local press that he’d resigned in order to “focus on his family“.
What Villa didn’t tell anyone was that the resignation stemmed from evidence of sexual abuse by Villa. The minor in question was a high school student athlete. The evidence, which my sources say was mostly found in text messages and on cell phones, was enough to score multiple rape charges against Villa. At least one minor female student was named as a victim.
Walpole police had talked with Villa and fully expected him to turn himself in on FridayFriday reviews
morning. After all, they reasoned, Villa’s a former pro ballplayer, a high school coach, a stand up guy. They gave him Christmas at home with his family, and he said he’d be there to bail out and get the whole mess taken care of the next day. Except Villa didn’t show. He’d left the state.
Police issued warrants and tracked Danny Villa to his hometown of Tucson, where, after two days of calls and negotiations, Villa finally turned himself in. The paperwork to get him from Tucson back to Massachusetts could take as long as a week, during which time Coach Villa will be held without bail. I think he’s already proven himself a flight risk.
Note to Danny Villa: running does not make you look less guilty. Just sayin’. Offensive lineman? <snicker>.
Another note to Danny Villa: don’t dip your pen in the company ink, moron. Especially when the “company” is a high school. They have minors there. And when you have sex with minors and then send them X-rated text messages, you’re gonna get caught, you pervy idiot.
When Villa gets back to Walpole, he’ll face three charges of rape and three charges of unlawfully enticing a minor. Villa’s attorney says that he had planned to surrender on December 29 (riiight) and that he will plead not guilty to the charges against him.
Of course he will. I’m sure he meant to type “let’s truck”, and his hand slipped. <snort>.

Idiot. Plus, they don’t play nice in Massachusetts prisons when it comes to pervs on minors. A perv definitely does not want to get caught in Massachusetts. Anybody remember what happened to the ped priest, Father Geoghan? I am surprised to hear that the Walpole police were that naive – must be the whole sports mystique thing.
Yeah, I know, innocent until proven and all that. Just sayin’…..

So I’m thinking as I am reading this…wonder if he had consensual sex w/ a minor?! Was it ‘rape’? When I hear the word “RAPE”, I am thinking knifepoint, gun to head, ripping clothes off, forcefully making someone have sex w/ you.
True, he IS a PERVERT if he was having sex w/ a minor. It’s morally and legally wrong. But if bothers me to see people called rapists if that’s not what happened?! This could have been a 16 yr old girl…I mean, I need more facts in this case.

On a sidebar: the reason I say this is b/c a chick I went to high school w/ was bangin’ our HOT Spanish teacher. He was in mid 20’s and she was 17 going on 18. We were Seniors. He was a good teacher, great actually. He sponsored our clubs and took us on trips…I never saw him act or behave inappropriately w/ anyone in or outside of school. This chick would tell a select few of us what was going on w/ her and Mr. X…she would brag about how she seduced him and they things she would do to him to drive him crazy. I think it was BAD judgement on Mr. X’s part, sure. I think it was illegal and immoral. I think it’s disgusting and it’s a crime. SHE made the move and knew perfectly well what she was doing. So when he got fired and all the legal BS came about, it made us all hate her and turn on her b/c she started it! Mary Kay L, Debra Lafave, ANY teacher who has a compromising relationship w/ a student is WRONG…but I wouldn’t call it “RAPE” in all instances. Rape is a very serious accusation…
