Lauren Cosgrove Doesn’t Give Up

Back in 2007, Lauren was an English teacher at Strickland Middle School. It was in this English class that Lauren found her young soul-mate. The married mother of two admitted that the two grew close during the school year. They ’shared their problems with each other.’ Well, she shared more than problems with the 13-year-old boy.
During summer recess, Lauren decided she needed some summer employment. She chose babysitting. Her clients? The young boy and his siblings. How convenient for her!
According to court records, the boy’s siblings told their parents that they had seen the boy and the teacher go into her bedroom and shut the door numerous times. The sibling also stated that he had seen the two kissing and holding hands. When confronted, the boy admitted to police that he was involved in a sexual relationship with Cosgrove, they had planned to be together once he turned 18. The boy said ‘he was worried what the consequences for Lauren would be. He said Lauren had told him she was afraid she would lose her children if anyone found out about their relationship.’ In July of 2007, Cosgrove was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault. She posted $20,000 bail and was freed the same day she was arrested.
Cosgrove had been a teacher at the middle school since 2003. At the time, school officials cooperated fully with authorities and their investigation but stated that, ’since school is not in session, there is no immediate need to remove the teacher from the proximity of children.’ It is unknown at this time if she lost her teaching job due to the charges of sexual assault.
You would think that she would have left the young stuff alone but noooo, in OctoberOctober reviews of the same year, Cosgrove was arrested again. She was accused of trying to arrange to talk to the boy using one of his friends to set up a three-way telephone call. She wanted to tell the boy ‘what to say to make things better for her in court.’ Just hours after her arrest, she was free on $5,000 bail on the charge of tampering with a witness. Since then, both of her cases have been pending.
Fast forward to Monday, December 1st…the young Romeo snuck out of his bedroom window and got into Cosgrove’s car and drove off into the sunset. They spent a few hours alone together. Could they have been planning their future together? Or was she trying again, to convince the young boy to lie in court, to minimize the damage? I’m going with the latter…later on that same day, Cosgrove sent a text message to the boy asking if his parents would drop the charges in exchange for a large sum of money. I guess not. Once mom and dad found the text on the boys phone, Cosgrove was arrested again. The charge, tampering with a witness.
Guess what? She has posted bail, again. Yes…shortly after her arrest, Cosgrove posted the $5,000 necessary to free herself. I do believe we may have another Mary Kay Letourneau on our hands.

Precisely. When I was like 11 through 14, I hated boys that age. It’s stuck with me too. I still don’t care much for many boys that age. When I had children, I warned my my husband that it was my absolute least favorite age, and he would be primarily in charge of the children for the duration of it. I’d cover toddlers and teens in exchange, lol.
And while I might debate consent and statutory rape laws for the 13 through 16 set, I still find it completely unacceptable that someone in a position like teacher (or even babysitter,) interact with their charges that way. That’s clear abuse even to me, ha.

Every time I see sick shit like this I am baffled. I am 32 and I work w/ kids, kids of all ages – from 7 to 18. WHAT is the attraction? How can a grown ass woman be attracted to a CHILD?! I don’t care how cute & charming these kids are…they are STILL KIDS. What could possibly attract these women to these young boys?! They’re all pedophiles! Lock her up…

I have 4 sons , all older than 13 now. I remember very well when they were 13 and brought their friends home. I would have a houseful of hormonal boys with squeeky voices, pimples ,enormous appetites who thought farting was a national past time. Now even though some were actually quite cute , there really is nothing attractive or inviting about a 13 year old boy who thinks burping out the entire alphabet, is something to be proud of. I just don’t understand the attraction this woman has for a child. He can’t even get his learner’s permit for crying out loud. I also don’t understand the ridiculous bond set for her. If it had been a 30 year old male with a 13 year old girl , the bail would have been much, much higher, especially after breaching a restraining order. Is is just me, or is there something seriously wrong with this? Double standards? I don’t get it .

I so agree that this woman is a criminal, a child molester in the first degree. She should be ashamed of herself. When my dh was 13 one of his mothers friends gave him oral sex a couple times. This woman was quite respectable, too. Educated, married with kids of her own. She works in a hospital where I was a patient at and as soon as they saw each other it was like wow…whats going on between you two? He then told me about what had happened and I was pissed, she avoided us the rest of the time we were there. Shit I would have too, cause me, well, I can be such a bitch. No one found out, ever, until he told me.
Just hearing that and reading the shit thats only reported here leaves me no faith in the human race.
People with everything to lose cant control themselves around children/teenagers? It makes no sense to me at all, but I have never thought “oh that little boy is hot, I’d like to corrupt him for the rest of his life.”

I believe it means “dear husband” or “darling husband” by military wives mostly(I’m not 100% sure). I use it for “dick head” because I don’t wanna cuss in front of my kid. ☺
