Synjan Mitchell Does Babysitting Wrong

Mesa, AZ–Synjan Mitchell is quite possibly the babysitter from hell. She’sShe reviews
not just a terrible babysitter, she’s an obnoxious drunk too. Not only did she leave her young charges home alone, she slapped their mother when she got caught. I have to wonder why she’s not sporting a black eye or a broken nose in her mugshot.
The children’s mother asked 18-year-old Synjan to watch her little ones Wednesday evening. When she returned home at 11:00 that night, her front door was wide open, the music was blasting, there were beer cans scattered all over the floor. Her two children, a 5-month-old girl and 21-month-old boy, were alone. A neighbor said he saw Synjan leave the home about half-an-hour before the mother returned. Synjan told the neighbor she was just going to get some smokes. Why didn’t the helpful neighbor call police the instant he knew the children were in the home alone?
When Synjan got back from her errand, it was obvious she was drunk. An argument ensued. I’m sure the mother had a few choice words for the little brat. Now, get this…she messed up the womans home with her beer cans, had obviously been drinking in front of the kids, left the kids alone in the home, and when the mad mamma confronted her, Synjan slapped her! If I were in mamma’s shoes, snotty Synjan would still be picking shoe leather out of her ass.
Synjan admitted to police that she had been drinking. She said she left the house, but the kids were with her the whole time. Guess they didn’t buy that story because she was arrested and charged with child abuse and underage consumption of alcohol.

I think its just that she is pouting in her mug shot. It’s probably the first time shes been in the slammer, and it ain’t a pretty reception for a fairly decent looking chick. Getting nude in front of 5 or 6 corrections officers is a very humbling experience. If she wasn’t sorry before, you can bet your ass that she is now. Stupid, stupid, stupid…

The arrest report says that after Synjan, bitch slapped mommy she kicked her sorry skannky ass, so the pict is from mommys Ass whoopin revenge. LoL, I think i see choke marks on her neck. Rolf !! that will teach her to leave kids home alone.

Walking into the jail with an attitude is one of the dumbest things you could ever do.
You get fuuuucked up. Corrections officers love it, I promise. My whole family’s in law enforcement, so I know how it goes. My mom’s a deputy on the road, and she’s so funny cause people will give her attitude and she’s not really allowed to beat the shit out of them, but as soon as she takes ‘em into the jail and they talk back to the corrections officers, they generally get what’s coming to them, and she feels better hearing their head slam against the wall a couple times down the hallway.
So, I’m sure that’s why she’s not too thrilled in her mugshot.

Oh, so it sounds like mom wasn’t too classy herself. People don’t typically act like this out of the blue…Odds are, mom knew this girl was irresponsible and left the kids with her anyway.
What I want to know is, what’s so crackin’ on a Wednesday night that you’ll risk leaving your kids with emo girl for the evening?

If this site has done anything for me is reinforce the notion that my kids are everything to me. These stories make me more aware of who comes into contact with my kids. I mean, I am already paranoid about who is near my children. But the DD gives you different and REAL scenarios of this day by day….read up people and remember that not everyone is capable of taking care of kids. If you see that they can’t take care of themselves….uh what does that say about kids?

SHE is underage — they aren’t charging her with contributing. It’s cuz she is 18 and the legal age is 21 (most places)
She doesn’t look 18 tho. I figured her much closer to 30. Maybe she should lay off the booze once and for all. It’s really fucking her up (in soooo many ways)
Agree with Athena tho… Mom had to know she wasn’t leaving them with Mary Poppin’s for cripes sakes. Did she think she’d suddenly get the urge to be “responsible” once she got there? And – where did the beer come from? Either loser brought it with her – or Mom is more stupid than I thought and left it there. THAT’S always a disaster waiting to happen.
Thankfully the kids are Ok (no thanks to the neighbor)

You dont have to hide my name, I have absolutly nothing to hide. I am just PISSED that I am being made out to be a trashy person. My kids are my life. Everything I do is for them. I didnt think this girl would do that, she’s their blood. And there weren’t a bunch of beer cans laying everywhere. it was one 40 oz of beer. so she cant use being drunk as an excuse. To top it off their dad, her brother is supporting her in court. I can understand thats his sister, but these are HIS BABIES! should have figured though, no one in his family tries to see or call about these kids. I am the only one going to be there defending my babies…she did tell the police I attacked her, I admitted to it. Its just funny though because I didnt even have time to call the police, she did for me attacking her. Im suprised this made world news though! thats some crazy shit! anyways, if you want I’ll keep you updated.

If someone requires care for their kids, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s because they’re out painting the town red (not that everyone doesn’t need a break sometimes from parenting); lots of times it’s for work (and waitresses, for instance, often do work at night).
But from what I understand from Carole’s email, it sounds like she was just left with them for a few minutes. Carole, what I don’t get is, why were there so many beer cans lying around if it was just for a few minutes? Did she chug a bunch of beers, or are we wrongly assuming they were from her?
The worst thing about it, somehow, to me, is that Synjan left the door wide open. I’m glad this story didn’t have a worse ending.

This is Carole. There werent a bunch of beer cans laying everywhere. The cops didnt even come into my apartment to look at it. There was ONE 40 oz of budweiser sitting on my computer desk and it wasnt even half empty. and yes, the door thing scared me. I looked up at my apartment and my door was wide open with the music on at FULL blast. I cannot even describe the feeling I had when I looked and didnt see my kids, I was scared to open their bedroom door to see if they were in there. My oldest could have woke up and saw the door open, he could have been gone.

Carole, I hope you do not get into to much trouble for kicking that skanks ass. Thats pretty shitty, that your kids bio-dad is sticking up for his sister more than his own kids, He is an ass for doing that. I am glad your children are safe and for the most part everything turned out well for you.

hey all this is Carole, I just wanted to inform you that Synjan Mitchell passed away May 17th, 2009 of this year from drug overdose. They are investigating it as a homicide not sure yet, I’m not able to find out much as it is my sons’s father’s sister.

Damn…I am fairly new here and just read through this….its a shame she didnt seek some help,is it where they charge the drug dealer for handing out bad stuff? Either way, that sux..RIP Synjan.

no its how much was in her system, Its a messed up story. She was partying, supposedly the guys gave her methadone, but it was WAY too much, i think if it was an accident they would have called ambulance within two hours of noticing her non responsive and turning blue but they left her laying on their bed for 7-8 hours and then someone else finally called the cops. I can’t find out anymore yet. they said its still under investigation. I DO KNOW that she didnt mess with pills like that, she had an alchohal problem, but she didnt do methadone. she was 18 and I remember being that age, she wanted to straighten up.

I’m sorry to hear of her passing. What she was accused of is not worthy of death – and she was just 18 years old. Young enough that, if she truly wanted to, she could have turned her life around. Very sad ending.
I hope that if warranted, someone pays a hefty price for giving this girl a toxic dose or at the very least, not seeking help when it was apparent she needed it.
