She had been hiding her pregnancy from her parents because she already had one child she couldn’t take care of…she didn’t want to piss off her parents with another one. She told police that after the birth of her first child, her mother ‘threatened to shoot her’ if she got pregnant again.

Excuse my over-simplification here, but: this society is so fucked up. How stupid is she? How stupid is her mother? If you’re not responsible enough to caer for a child, then be responsible enough to terminate your pregnancy in the first trimester. Stupid asshole!

I’ve read too much on here. I’m constantly talking to my oldest daughter about birth control, condoms, safe sex, unplanned pregnancy, etc. She’s only 13 and not even close to sexually active. I want to make sure that she knows she can come to me about anything. I wish parents wouldn’t make crazy threats to their kids. Some of these kids are dumb enough to believe their parents would really shoot them.

And scared of her parents at 23yrs old? Lady, get your own home, a job, no more random penises, and take care of your children like an adult! Ooops, too late now!

BTW, I’m very curious to find out what happens to the sweet baby now. Do the grandparents get custody or the state?

I agree – she had no interest in saving that baby. If she had, the cord would not have still been around her neck, cutting off her oxygen. That would have been the FIRST thing you’d do to “save” your newborn. Next, you wouldn’t throw a newborn out the window – there had to be at least a 3 foot drop there. And finally, that baby was WET AND NAKED and the temps were in the teens. Not exactly thinking of the baby’s survival there, either.

And she looks old and used. Don’t they have the “morning after” pill up there? If you’re not going to use protection, you can get these at almost any clinic (she would know where to go) at little or no cost. Even if that particular state doesn’t allow it, there are ways …. but she wasn’t probably thinking in those terms. Hell, she wasn’t thinking at all. Obviously.

I must have missed something.

After giving birth to the child, Jennifer put the baby into a trash bag, opened the window, and dropped the bag onto the ground. She figured that was a great place to hide the baby until she got around to taking it to the hospital, just a few blocks away. Where’s the kid gonna go, right? She cleaned herself up.
