Joanne Tucker at dreamindemon.com

Warner Robins, GA–SundaySunday reviewsSunday reviews afternoon, Warner Robins police officers responded to a call of an unresponsive infant. Upon arrival, they discovered 5-week-old Katie Tucker was dead. She had visible injuries that caused police to believe that someone had a hand in putting her in that condition. And who might that be, you ask? Her mother…25-year-old Joanne Tucker.

Joanne, her three children, and her boyfriend, all lived in the home of her father David Tucker. On Sunday, Joanne asked her father to run in and check on the baby. He found little Katie unresponsive and called 911. It was later determined that the baby had already been dead for several hours before David discovered her. Joanne had to have known what her father would find when she sent him in there.

Joanne was arrested and initially charged with battery and cruelty to children in the death of her daughter. After the autopsy revealed that Katie died from blunt force trauma to the head, the charges were upgraded to felony murder. Joanne admitted to being responsible for the injuries that ultimately caused the death of her child. She struck the baby with her hands and possibly something else. Joanne now sits behind bars at Houston County Jail with no bond.

Joanne’s other children, a 1 and 2-year-old boy, have been removed from the home and placed with Georgia DFCS. There are no reports or records of child abuse or injury to her sons. I’ll keep you updated on new information as it becomes available.

Wow, she was really cranking out the babies, one after another. Not that there is anthing wrong with that under idea conditions.

Thats is pretty interesting she would send her father in to find the baby after she murdered the poor little thing. And poor dad for haveing to deal with that. I wonder if she even told anyone she was at a breaking point, or kept it all bottled all up inside. Her booking pict certainly looks like she is in shut down mode.

23 is pretty late to be starting crankin out kids, maybe she was going to school before she got pregnant with the first one.

5 weeks old, how sad. Never even had a chance. This has been happening so much lately, could the stress be holiday related already????

Let’s hope not, otherwise there may be a few bundles of horror left under far too many X-Mas trees, this yuletide season.

It looks like she is more than shut down!! Didn’t she have any help?? Not that I am condoning the death of her child, but 3 kids under 3…That is real STRESS.. Her poor father, having to find his granddaughter dead, must have been horrible.. She does remind me of Casey Anthony, although we have a body this time. (sorry, that sounds sort of morbid) But I don’t think this was pre-meditated, she probably just snapped, (baby crying,, disturbing her sleep, Bam!!) Poor baby, may she find the love and peace in heaven..

Kids appear to be like potato chips, you can’t stop at one! Or maybe it’s the checks that come with the kids nowadays.

I almost thought it was the same person for a split second. What a tragedy. Poor baby had no chance at a life. Snuffed by the very person who should have given her life to protect this precious child. I have said it a million timeS and I will say it again, I will never understand why these things happen. There is absolutely no reason for this, whether holiday stressed or not!

I don’t think that this type of crime is happening significantly more than any time in the last 10-20 years… I just think this is a product of more writers for the Dreamin’ Demon finding these types of crimes in local newspapers or on the internet and doing write-ups on them.

Killing babies and toddlers (whether by mommy or her penis) has been going on since the beginning of time and The Dreamin’ Demon is doing a great service by bringing about Nation/World-wide awareness of how prevalent the problem is. Hopefully, over the long term, sites like this will have an effect on Society to lessen the occurence of crimes like these….

I kinda think 23 is young to start cranking out kids. Not that age determines if you are a good parent or not but it certainly is a factor in maturity level. I know several young moms who are awesome but at the same time alot of these baby killers seem to be younger. Just a thought. Just a personal preference I had my little girl when I was 30. We had our own home, financially stable and “sewed our oats” and it was the right time for us. I understand accidents happen, its the ones that happen again and again that peave me.

Indeed. Taz – where do you live that 23 is young to start cranking out chillun? :P

The brain doesn’t even stop developing until an individual is roughly 25. Until that point, people tend to exhibit higher levels of impulsiveness – not exactly conducive to young parenthood.

Just found this in a different article that seems to confirm this:
“Cases of mothers who kill their children, like Susan Smith and Andrea Yates, continue to fascinate the public, even as the rates of filicide — the act of a parent who kills his or her own child — have remained fairly stable.

In 2005, 555 children under the age of five were victims of homicide, compared with 544 in 1976. The rate peaked in 1991 at 778 and bottomed out in 1971 at 511, according to statistics from the Department of Justice.

Another fairly stable statistic: In more than 50 percent of child homicides, the killer is a parent.”

Poor little baby, I just can’t imagine ever hurting my kids. I was a young mother had all 4 sons before or by 23 and I’m proud to say I did fairly well. My 21 just deployed to Iraq, My baby will be 18 in Dec just signed for Marines, the oldest will be moving back to Texas and My 19 yr old is living an hr away on his own struggling but he is trying. I’m sorry but there are no excuses what so ever to harm your kids no matter how stressed things may be. It breaks my heart to know a mother can do this to their child it makes me wonder what they are thinking, are they just naturally heartless. Rest in Peace lil Katie.

5 weeks old? I smell a PPD/PPP defense in the air. Especially given the fact that she never gave her body time to return to normal before cranking out another baby! 3 kids in less than 3 years???

Where’s the babies dad/dad’s? I didn’t see any mention of him/them. Is it just one or are they all from different men? Is she just a promiscuous twat with no knowledge of birth control?

This whole story is just fucked up! Living with her dad, could he not see she was at the end of her rope? Too many questions – not enough answers.

RIP little baby. So sorry you had to be born to such a loser. I pray your brother’s find a wonderful, stable home.

She carried the baby 9 mos yet only let her live 5 wks. WTF is WRONG w/ this woman, and all the women out there just like her?! These bitches are half past retarded and all need to be committed. This is criminal and unforgivable. Fuck her and her “rights”, lock her up, throw away the key…

p.s. And she DOES resemble Anthony.

Maybe she wanted to start a baseball team and figured a girl wouldn’t work out…All kidding aside. Yeah, she’s a bitch and a cunt. She killed her baby girl and nothing will ever change my mind about her being a bitch and a cunt.
